It had been eight years. eight whole years. Whiplash had returned prior to Aphira's death, and Whip still hasn't quite forgiven him. The Hunters? Scattered. Ryker? Drowned. Aphira? ...Orca, the Scauldron, reports that her body that should've been found burnt on the boat was nowhere to be found. Deep in the forest, Blackout searches. Deep in the forest, secrets lie. Deep in the forest, a new enemy emerges...and now every dragon must put aside their differences...before they all die. Notice 1: Most dragons are owned by Dreamworks, as is Hiccup, Astrid, Fishlegs, Snotlout, Ruffnut, Tuffnut, Zephyr, Nuffink, and their dragons. Notice 2: This takes place eight years after the event of Fading Echoes. Notice 3: Whip is 21 at this point (he was 13 in Fading Echoes), and Aphira is 26. I'm pointing this out for reasons that will be revealed in the story. Like, straight away in the story, but still.
