(U N D E R E D I T I N G)~~~"Why should you even care about what they think?" I sighed, rubbing my temples, "What do they have on you that makes it so important to impress them?" He finally looked me straight in the eyes, hitting his fist against the lockers. "You don't get it do you?" he asked me with a softness in his voice that contradicted his fierce posture. Then he continued, "This is high school-- it's all about what people think of you. Hell, even I still care about what people think of me!" There was a harsh tint to his voice this time, the softness gone completely. I felt myself squint at his logic. "That. Is. Pathetic." I gritted out. His golden orbs stared at me, his plump lips in a thin line, and fists clenched beside my head. He took a sharp intake of breath and walked past me, aggressively pushing me into the lockers and leaving this foggy locker room. I was utterly dumbfounded, I didn't even feel the aching on my back or the rapid thumping in my chest. Oh. I thought he had left his bullying days behind. I guess I was wrong. ~~~

Feelings, rants, moments...memories...things I'm too afraid to say.Analysis:This is a poem about a person who hides behind a tough exterior. Deep inside, she's really a coward/ a weakling. She wants to break free but at some point, she can't because she thinks that without her MASK of dominance, she will be belittled and thought of as crap. In the end, she somehow concluded that she might never let go of her mask.

But yeah, I have to fool myself...at least to make me happy. But deep inside, I know...those are only lies that would comfort me... damn it. I wish I could start over.

Feelings, rants, moments...memories...things I'm too afraid to say.Analysis:This poem is about a girl whose been exposed early to 'adult contents' and that's when she's led to 'adult' behavior like...drugs, pre-marital sex, alcoholism and etc. LAST CHANCE to find her way back to where she began, as a pure little girl. This is actually the DEVIL'S message to the said character. It's quite dark, if you read it...but for me, it's meaningful and it should open our eyes and help us realize that we should take the time now to re-evaluate ourselves or else, our last chance will be wasted.

Feelings, rants, moments...memories...things I'm too afraid to say.Analysis:A poem about a middle child who suffered form 'middle-child-syndrome' wherein she feels isolated from her family, as a child. Well, except for her father who's been very attentive and very kind to her. She's a daddy's-girl in short. She then grows up..even farther apart from her family and a lot farther from her father. She focused on her life, not minding her family. Then she receives news that her father's sick. She then debates with herself on whether she should ask about him, since she had been very distant for a long time., She did and she felt extreme sadness wash over her when she heard about her father's sickness. She realized that she's been too distant; that she's been neglecting them. She realized that she had been too career-driven and a robotic one at that. She feels nothing before, but now, she's flooded with emotions. She then turns back to her old self, the one who is close to her father and somehow, maintains relationships with the rest of the family. Her father has cancer. She goes every step of the way with him and comforts him about death by saying that DEATH IS A GIFT; IT IS PARADISE; AN ESCAPE FROM THE CHAOTIC WORLD WE LIVE IN.
