"Can you do my hair like yours?" (Barduil) The Hobbit
Summary: Tilda decides she hates her Dad doing her hair so the young girl runs away to Mirkwood and goes to the King so he can braid her hair for her. eventually Bard finds out and take sa trip to Mirkwood after not being able to find his daughter for two days when he does he ends up falling for the Elf King like he did months before during the Battle. so I literally came up with this idea last night it was going to be a onehsot but then I wanted do wrote a story for it because this is one of my Favourite ships from the Hobbit.
On the king's command
Thranduil invites Bard, king of Dale, to his palace, with the intention to make new good trading connections with the newly founded country. What he doesn't know is, that Bard has been secretly in love with the elven king since the Battle of the five armies. What he does know, however, is that the man from Dale is smart, strong and very attractive, and king that he is, Thranduil decides to make him stay.Disclaimer: I do not own these characters, they belong to Tolkien and Peter Jackson only.

You chuckled dryly. "No king nor any civilians would know. Only her." You shrugged the Guarda's hands off you and walked away, leaving the king speechless and filled with even more questions. How are you?

The Great Greenwood used to be a merry place filled with parties you'll never forget and people you'll always remember. King Thranduil and his lovely wife Queen Elodiel ruled the land with their kin dancing until the ends of the forest even the beautiful elven path that leads to their kingdom was filled with much beauty.but now Thranduil sat on his Throne with an empty throne next to him. The gates were shut and his cold heart was broken. He sat there emotionless listening to the cries of his people as they weep and the sorrow that lingered through the whole kingdom. Thranduil gripped the sides of his throne trying to not think of that day, the day his world came falling apart the day he lost everything. Read as Thranduil tries to get over his only love or can he? Will he find a new love? Or will he succumb to his aching heart?[I do not own any characters that belong to JRR Tolkien nor do I own the cover]

Legolas x reader
You are the daughter of an Elvish king and Queen. You also have some magic as your family are close friends with Gandalf the grey and your mother is the daughter of a wizard. When your kingdom is invaded your father sends you to Mirkwood to get help. There you meet Thranduil and his son Legolas. Thranduil sends you back with a small army and Legolas. You two quickly become friends as your feelings grow you try to hide them as you are worried he doesn't feel the same way. When the fighting stops and there is a party to celebrate the two of you end up dancing together... This follows a similar storyline to the Hobbit but I have changed it slightly.
Festering Darkness
After a failed spider mission, Legolas is left injured beyond what the Greenwood healers can help. Thranduil, worried for his son's Fea, sends him to Imladris for help. But the unit escorting the prince is attacked on the way and Legolas, after barely escaping, then fleas to the most unlikely of places where he hides, refusing to tell anyone of his whereabouts, afraid to go to Imladris, afraid to go home. This story fills in some gaps from The Return and creates a few more that I may delve into in a later fic. Thanks to @GerithorDunedain and @Illeandir for the title! @GerithorDunedain also gave me the prompt for this story XD

Aeolin decides to stop by the Woodland Realm to see a friend and, of course, meets the King of Mirkwood.Intrigued by how such a hard man could raise such a kind son, she tends to push her luck with the king and may enjoy it just a bit too much. The King's Heart (Thranduil Fanfiction)
Being a king is hard. Raising a son is hard. Living with eternal grief is hard. King Thranduil is just trying to keep his kingdom running and his son safe when an elf is found with orcs at the border of Greenwood. Who could this mysterious elf truly be? But then the elf he rescued in the forest grows closer to Legolas, and Thranduil can not help but enjoy her company as well. Darkness descends over the forest, all because of this one elf. When lives are threatened, Thranduil must make a choice: his kingdom or his heart.12/14/21- y'all I wrote this in high school and I kinda want to go through it again and do a bunch of editing. Some of my writing makes me cringe and what are we here for if not improvement. That being said, this story will change starting today probably and if you're in the middle of it, hopefully I don't confuse details or timelines for you. If you've already read it once and just felt like you had to read it again, maybe it will provide some new enjoyment. Who knows? Maybe I'll actually finish some other stuff I have on here.
