Ashaangi SS Entwined

Chapter Sixteen

The next morning when Ashwin woke up, his lips curled into a smile on seeing Sivaangi all snuggled up to the pillow next to her. Her lips were slightly part and she was snoring softly. Even with her filled hair partition and yellow thread around her neck, to him, her side profile looked super cute like a baby.

Caressing her hair softly, Ashwin removed the dried jasmine flowers from Sivaangi's hair careful not to hurt her before jumping out of the bed. He placed the hair pins aside, put the dried flowers in the dustbin and walked inside the washroom.

Ashwin was about to grab his brush when he saw his reflection on the mirror. His lips curled into a full smile on seeing traces of vermillion on his light blue t-shirt as he recalled last night events. Shaking his head, he quickly did his morning duties and came out wiping his face with a towel.

Grabbing his mobile, Ashwin walked out of the room and closed it softly behind him. He saw a missed call from Rakshan and was about to call him but stopped when his gaze fell on Shakeela who walked out of the kitchen with her mobile pressed against her ear.

"Good morning, Ashwin" Shakeela greeted him when their eyes met.

"Good morning, Maa" Ashwin greeted back with a smile.

Shakeela gestured Ashwin that she's in a call and that she would be back within 2 mins. He nodded his head at her and walked inside the kitchen. He was surprised to see breakfast already made.

When Ashwin came back with a black coffee for himself, he saw that Shakeela was done with the call.

"Breakfast venum na vangirukalamey, Maa. Ongaluku yethuku seramam" Ashwin said sitting opposite to Shakeela.

"Ithula yenna iruku, Ashwin. Namakaga dhana" Shakeela replied with a smile, "Kalyanam, shanthi mugurtham lam mudinchuruchu. Inaiku thalai mulugu. Thalaiku nalla ennai vachu kulikanum rendu per um. Mila and Tasha avanga shop ku poerukanga. Naan irukalam nu nenachen aana Bangalore vara oru meeting kaga poganum. Neenga pathupinga dhana?"

"Athellam naanga pathukurom, Maa. Neenga poetu vanga"

After having conversation for few minutes that included lot of instructions and advice, Shakeela stood up to leave.

"Oru naal neenga rendu per um kandipa veetuku varanum" Shakeela blessed Ashwin and left with her stuffs.

Ashwin looked around his apartment. Stretching his arms, he quickly placed a call to Rakshan that went unanswered. Heaving a sigh, he texted Rakshan before walking out of his apartment. He rang the opposite apartment's bell and Sandy opened the door.

"Bala?" Ashwin asked looking behind Sandy.

"Avan thoonguran" Sandy replied plainly.

"Man-" Ashwin started but Sandy cut him in middle.

"Mano, Raju, yelarum thoonguranga. Yenna solanum?" Sandy asked straight to the point.

"Onga yelarukum breakfast?" Ashwin enquired.

Sandy was surprised to hear Ashwin checking up on him. They both doesn't get along well and always scowl at each other. Them having civil conversation was actually an improvement.

"Avanga elundhadhum vangikuvom" Sandy replied and Ashwin gave a nod.

Just as Ashwin turned to leave, Sandy asked,

"Onga rendu per kum breakfast vangitu varata?"

Ashwin was surprised to hear Sandy's offer.

"Ila, Shakeela Maa senju vachutanga. Neenga sapdunga"

Sandy gave a nod and closed the door behind him. Ashwin walked inside his apartment and dialed Master's number. He quickly enquired about Ramakrishna's status and hanged up. Ramakrishna is still searching for Sivaangi.

Ashwin knows Master can't hold Ramakrishna for long. So, he decided to devise a plan on his own and then let Master know. But that can wait. He took oil in a bowl and walked inside their room. He saw Sivaangi sleeping.

With a smile on his lips, Ashwin sat by Sivaangi's side.

"Eii Sivaangi" Ashwin gently patted her cheek making her stir, "Elundhiri di"

Sivaangi groaned before struggling to open her eyes. Her annoyance was clearly visible on her face but once her eyes fell on Ashwin, she blinked her sleep and smiled at him.

Stretching her limbs, Sivaangi greeted Ashwin in her morning voice,

"Good morning, Ashwineyy"

Averting his gaze from her inviting waist that Sivaangi's showcasing in the name of stretching, Ashwin cleared his throat and stood up.

"Good morning. Time achu paru. Elundhri"

"Athukulayuma? Tired ah iruku, Ashwinn. Koncha neram thoongikuren ey" Sivaangi yawned.

Ashwin sighed and explained about the ritual (hair bath) Shakeela told him. Sivaangi listened with closed eyes before she groaned and opened her eyes. She sat up and stared at him blankly before asking,

"Ama, breakfast ku yenna?"

"Naan sonna yethachum unn kadhula vilundhucha ilaya?" Ashwin looked at Sivaangi in disbelief.

"Haan, thalaiku kulikanum, athu dhana. Kulichutu sapdanum la. Athunala dhan ketaen" Sivaangi gave a sheepish smile and got down from the bed.

"Athellam Shakeela Maa senju vachutu dhan poerukanga. Nee kulichutu va. Naanum kulichutu varen" Ashwin said as Sivaangi walked to the dressing table.

"Ohh. Yenga poe kulika poringa, Ashwineyyyy?" Sivaangi asked with a teasing smile that Ashwin missed to catch.

"Pakathu room la. Yean?" Ashwin said in an oblivious tone looking at Sivaangi.

Sivaangi frowned as she looked up and down at Ashwin before shaking her head at him and turned front muttering "Ongaluku onumey puriyala! Cheh! Ithukellam neenga seri pattu vara matinga!"

Ashwin frowned. Neither could he understand what Sivaangi said nor why she looked up at down at him. She then ignored him and went on checking herself on the mirror.

"Aii yenna di, nee paatu keta, ena mela keela patha, mogatha tirupita" Ashwin said walking towards Sivaangi who was looking at herself on the dressing table mirror with a smile. He stood behind her and asked, "Ipo yethuku kannadi pathu sirichutu iruka?"

"Enoda saree kalanchu iruku la, atha pathu dhan sirikuren" Sivaangi said.

That's when Ashwin noticed Sivaangi's saree. It's crushed at places, her hair sticking out of place and the Kumkum on her forehead smeared. She looked messy but looked exotically hot in his eyes. He ran his eyes over her form in the mirror and gulped.

"Onnum panathathukey ipdi kalanchu iruku nu" Sivaangi snickered and eyed at Ashwin through the mirror. He figured out what she was talking about the whole time and that she's teasing him.

Ashwin wrapped his arms around Sivaangi's waist, his fingers making contact with her bare waist as he held his eyes with hers in the mirror and leaned down near her ear. She gasped softly when his lips grazed the shell of her ear.

"Onnum panathathukey ipdi na, naan kai vacha yepdi irukum nu yosichuko dii" Ashwin said in his deep base voice, his lips and hot breath brushing against her ear shell making Sivaangi's breath quicken.

Ashwin trailed his lips down Sivaangi's cheek before placing a kiss on her cheek with their eyes still locked with each other. A shy smile crept on her lips as she casted her gaze down before looking up to find him already looking at her with a smile. Him reciprocating her teasing and feelings made her happy and excited. He broke his hold around her and stepped back.

Sivaangi turned towards Ashwin who pointed at the bowl placed on the dressing table.

"Unaku inum koncham dress Mila and Tasha vangitu vandhanga. Unoda cupboard la iruku. Kulichutu ready agitu vandhu sapdu. Naan kulichutu velai koncham iruku. Atha mudichutu sapda varen" Ashwin said and Sivaangi nodded, her eyes still fixed on the oil bowl. He turned to leave.

"Ashwin" Sivaangi said making Ashwin pause.

"Romba avasarama ipovey ponuma?" Sivaangi asked in a hesitating tone.

"Ila, yenna venum, solu" Ashwin said facing Sivaangi.

"Athu, enaku idha thalaiku vachu viduvingala?" Sivaangi asked pointing at the oil bowl.

Ashwin thought for a brief moment before walking forward. He grabbed the bowl and turned to Sivaangi.

"Bed la okaru"

Sivaangi smiled widely at Ashwin and sat down on the bed. He picked a fresh towel and draped it around her back and neck. A soft smile danced on her lips when she felt his fingers threading her hair as he caressed her hair.

Ashwin concentrated on his job at hand while Sivaangi enjoyed the way his fingers worked wonders. When his slender fingers massaged her scalp, she almost leaned back to him while a soft moan escaped her lips.

"Valayaama nera okaru di" Ashwin chided and weaved his fingers in her hair tugging it softly and then harshly before tugging softly.

Sivaangi groaned and moaned making Ashwin to pause.

"Yean niruthitinga?" Sivaangi asked cluelessly, her eyes closed in pleasure.

"Satham podama okara mudiyatha?" Ashwin asked tugging her hair behind softly.

"Hehehe, onga kai la yedho magic iruku Ashwineyy" Sivaangi complimented wholeheartedly, "Naan vaaya mudikuren, neenga start panunga"

Sivaangi gestured like she's zipping her mouth. Shaking his head with a smile, Ashwin massaged her hair before collecting her hair in a bun.

"Saree la oil patrama pathu iru. Naan kulichutu velai mudichutu varen. Nee kelambitu saptru" Ashwin said.

"Neenga vandha aprm sapdalam, Ashwin" Sivaangi said standing up.

"Athellam vendam. Time aanalum agum. Athuna-"

"Athellam mudiyathu! Naan enn purushan kuda sendhu dhan sapduven!" Sivaangi deadpanned.

Ashwin stared at Sivaangi's determined form for a brief moment. No one cared for him other than his mother and close friends. For years he grew accustomed to living his life on his terms that he didn't need anyone's care. He liked to roam around alone, eat alone, chill alone whenever he's not with his friends. Being alone was his thing. Guess, not anymore. She cares for him and wants to look out for him and that strangely made him happy.

"Seri, naan vandha aprm sapdalam. Okay ah?" Ashwin asked meeting his eyes with hers.

Sivaangi nodded with a grin making him smile.
