Chapter Fifteen

A moment of silence passed before Sivaangi broke it.

"Rendavathu yenna nu solavey ilayeh, Ashwineyy?" Sivaangi asked as she composed herself and adjusted her saree.

"Athu naan kepaen, nee maraikama pathil solanum. Seriya?"

'Naan ah marachutu okandhruken' Sivaangi thought with a giggle.

"Yenna, kelvi keta sirikura?" Ashwin asked with an eyebrow raised.

"Haan, onum ila Ashwineyy. Suma dhan. Neenga kelunga" Sivaangi said composing herself.

"Hmmm naan unna college la modhalum kadaisiyuma andha parking lot kita stone bench la dhan pathen. Unaku yepdi love uh? Apdi yenga ena modha patha?" Ashwin asked what he wanted to for a long time.

Sivaangi smile widely after hearing Ashwin's question. She clasped her hands together in excitement as she stared at him.

"Idhu naaney ongata solanum nu irundhen, Ashwineyy. Neengaley ketutinga" Sivaangi said excitedly and added, "Aana idhuku oru condition iruku"

"Amma thayee, inoruka lam madi la vaika mudiyathu una!" Ashwin quickly said and mumbled under his breath that wasn't audible to her, "Oru thadava vachathuke enn maanam pochu!"

Sivaangi giggled.

"Athu ila, Ashwineyy. Naan solra apo edaila interrupt panama kekanum. Okay ah?" Sivaangi asked.

"Hmmm seri solu" Ashwin said sitting upright.

Sivaangi too sat straight and had a bright smile on her face as she started.

While doing her first semester, Sivaangi grew tired of her uncle and aunt's presence that during mid semester, she decided to join Cavel college at Coimbatore so that she can stay away from them for some time. Her uncle would get benefit from her staying away and so, he agreed without any fuss.

It was few days after Sivaangi joined Cavel Institute of Arts & Science. During one fine evening as she roamed around the campus alone, she witnessed a young girl around six crying on the roadside wearing tattered clothes.

Tears stung Sivaangi's eyes as the girl wailed sitting on the road. Near her, a figure was drawn in chalk on the road and there was also dried blood on the road. She saw a tall figure enquiring to nearby tea vendor about the little girl. The tea vendor told him that the girl and her mother used to beg around and that because of an accident that day, the girl's mother died on spot and taken away. The little girl has been wailing since morning.

Sivaangi couldn't see the face of the man as he faced the other side. He was tall and well built. She watched as he walked towards the little girl and bent down at her level. Her eyebrows scrunched in confusion as she tried to figure out what's happening but since she's standing at a distance, she couldn't hear anything.

That guy comforted the little girl and within minutes, he managed to calm the little girl. Only when he stood up and held the little girl's hand, Sivaangi saw the guy's face. He was a very good-looking guy.

Sivaangi watched as that guy brought the girl to the tea shop and bought her cake, biscuit and milk. Without minding her dirty cloth, the guy placed the little girl in his lap. He patiently helped her eat and tried his best to comfort her.

On watching the girl eating hurriedly as if she hasn't eaten in forever, tears stinged in Sivaangi's eyes. She watched the guy tearing up as well. He wrapped his arm around the little girl protectively when he saw few men looking at the little girl.

Once the little girl was done eating, the guy helped her down from the bench and holding her hand, he took her away. Sivaangi was half worried and half curious. So, she decided to follow them. The guy placed the little girl on his bike and started. She quickly hailed an auto and followed them from good distance.

When Sivaangi arrived, she was surprised to see an orphanage. She paid the auto driver and peeked inside the orphanage before making her mind to go in. As she walked in, she saw an in charge and spoke to that guy while her eyes searched for that guy and little girl.

Sivaangi found the duo at the entry of home and saw that guy conversing with the mother there. She told the in charge that she's here to provide donation and went along with that in charge.

After filing donation and asking her uncle to transfer money, Sivaangi thanked the sisters who worked there. She didn't dare go visit the kids there because even though she lives with her uncle and aunt, she considers herself as an orphan longing for nothing but love.

Just as Sivaangi came out of the donation building, she saw that guy with the little girl who stood by the head in charge mother of that orphanage. A smile touched on her lips when she the little girl smile and hug that guy. When that guy hugged that little girl back, he was shedding tears but a smile, a strange one, sat on his lips that disturbed Sivaangi. She couldn't look away from him. She waited till he left and then followed behind him.

When Sivaangi came out, Ashwin already started his bike. She hurriedly hailed an auto and followed him back. She was puzzled when that guy drove inside her college. Confused, she followed him from a distance and saw him going towards basketball open court.

Sivaangi hid herself and saw him from distance. He was talking to two guys and after few minutes, he walked away. That was when one of his friends yelled his name,

"Dei Ashwin, andha project mudikanum. Marandhradha"

Sivaangi's lips curled when she tasted his name in her lips, "Ashwin"

Strangely watching Ashwin, Sivaangi felt warmth seeping into her heart. The love, care Ashwin showed to that little girl got stuck inside her head. She couldn't help but place herself in that place for she also lost her parents in an accident and she remember how much she went though.

From that day, Sivaangi started collecting details about Ashwin. She found that he's same department as her but post graduate student. She would roam around the college just to have a glimpse of him. She learned a lot about him, his character and how he's in general.

Sivaangi was told that Ashwin's a distant person but she has seen that side of him that none of they have seen. She would follow him around and get happy seeing him. Whenever she misses her parents, she would look at his pictures that she clicked without his knowledge. She formed a crush that slowly took a form of love and then she started to find her parents in her for she feels serene just in his presence of seeing him.

Soon Rakshan and Pugazh noticed Sivaangi and confronted her. She spilled her heart out to the duo who first were hesitant but grew to become fond of the sister they found. They would help her unknowingly like bringing Ashwin here and there around campus, giving his whereabouts to her, etc.

Sivaangi somehow found about their hacking business and confronted Rakshan and Pugazh who confessed that they were into hacking. Contrary to their thought, she took it well and agreed to keep it confidential and that she doesn't have any problem with it unless they are taking too much risk.

After that stone bench incident, Sivaangi was with contact with both Rakshan and Pugazh. They were the ones who gave information to Sivaangi but never said about his whereabouts. They know the danger involved in their business and only told information that she can know. It was through them, the pictures they send and videos of him that they send that she spent seven years loving him and waiting for him.

Sivaangi's love on Ashwin wasn't because of his handsome looks or the mysterious aura around him. It was because she saw the real him. She loves him and needs him for herself because a huge part of her beats for him. She saw her parents in him; she saw her everything in him. She loved him, loves him and will always love him.

"Ipdi dhan Ashwineyy ongala modhala pathathu" Sivaangi concluded.

Ashwin was flabbergasted to know about all these. The extent Sivaangi went for him, to hear her say all that made him feel good but at the same time scared him to see how much she loves him and emotionally places her strength in him.

"Andha kutty ponnu peru Lakshmi. Ipo eight standard padikura" That was all Ashwin could manage to say.

"Nice. Next time paka pora apo enayum kuptu ponga" Sivaangi said with a soft smile.

"Hmmm. Ini apdi nenakadha" Ashwin said in a soft down, his head lowered.

"Yepdi?" Sivaangi asked with a clueless smile.

"Unaku nu yarum ila nu. You're not alone. You have me" Ashwin said looking up at her.

Sivaangi stared at Ashwin for a brief moment with a soft smile before nodding her head at him and side hugging his arm.

"Seven years ku munna vey theriyum that I have you with me nu. I stopped feeling like an orphan ever since you, Pugazh anna and Rakshan anna came into my life, Ashwineyy"

Ashwin wrapped his arm around Sivaangi, side hugging her. A pregnant silence dominated the room before Ashwin broke the silence.

"Ama college la oru edam vidama enn pinna suthuniyeh aprm yepdi..." Ashwin started changing the topic and the duo talked about what else Sivaangi did during college.

"Seri, ipo enoda gift ah kudunga, Ashwinn" Sivaangi asked excitedly remembering about their deal, "Athan neenga sona rendum paniten la"

"Seri, iru di. Yeduthutu varen" Ashwin said removing his hold around Sivaangi.

Ashwin got down from the bed and walked towards his cupboard. Sivaangi watched as he opened the cupboard, took a box, closed it before walking towards the bed.

"Indha" Ashwin said sitting next to Sivaangi.

Sivaangi's face bloomed into a wide shy smile when she found two silver anklets inside the box. She touched the chimes and her smile widen when she took it out in her hand. She looked up at him who was already staring at her, capturing her reactions in his eyes.

"Pidichuruka?" Ashwin asked in his deep base voice making Sivaangi's stomach flip.

With her heart racing in excitement and a smile dancing on her lips, Sivaangi was too tongue-tied that she nodded her head.

"Pidichuruku nu solu" Ashwin said in his base voice making her look at him with wide eyes.

"Pidichuruku" Sivaangi managed to say making Ashwin smile at her.

Sivaangi's breath hitched when Ashwin held her ankle and placed her foot on his thigh.

"Yenna panringa Ashwinn?" Sivaangi whispered feeling funny feelings in her stomach.

"Andha kolusa kudu" Ashwin extended his hand.

Wordlessly, Sivaangi placed both the anklets in Ashwin's hand. He placed it on his other thigh, took one and started to wound it around her leg. With a fond shy smile, she watched as her husband tied the anklet around her ankle with concentration. Her breath hitched when he leaned forward and tightened the anklet screw with his teeth; his hot breath and nose grazing on her bare skin made her gulp.

Ashwin placed Sivaangi's leg down and placed her another foot on her lap. He tied the anklet around her ankle and repeated the same process. Once he's done, he looked at her anklet clad legs and had a satisfied smile on his face before he looked up at her.

"Alaga iruku" Ashwin commented while his fingers played with the chimes in her anklet.

Sivaangi got down from the bed and walked around as she watched Ashwin asking,

"Indha satham nala iruku la, Ashwineyy"

Ashwin laid down on the bed as he hummed and watched Sivaangi walking around with a smile.

"Seri, va. Thoongalam. Time achu" Ashwin said staring at Sivaangi.

Sivaangi pouted and was about to deny but stopped on seeing Ashwin opening his arms wide. Her smile widens and she walked towards the bed excitedly and settled herself in his arms.

Ashwin wrapped his arms around Sivaangi pulling her against him. She placed her face against his chest, wrapped her arm around his neck and laid her head on his one arm while his one arm settled around her waist.

Sivaangi felt her heart race. She was way too close to Ashwin and that's the same case with him too. He called her in a flow of moment but now with her too close, he got distracted and nervous.

Although Sivaangi never hesitates from teasing Ashwin, with him so close to her, she was nervous. She didn't know why she held her breath and kept gulping every now and then.

Ashwin unwrapped his arm from Sivaangi and switched off the lights in the room before composing himself and wrap his arm around her again. She was nervous still and sensing that, he comfortingly patted her arm.

"Thoongu di"

Sivaangi buried her face into Ashwin's chest and focused on listening to his heartbeat. All her nervousness vanished as she focused on the rhythm of his heartbeat and slowly eased herself in his hold. Wounding her legs with his, she tightened her hold around him and soon fell asleep out of tiredness.

Ashwin kept patting Sivaangi's arm as his mind recalled about how she met him first and fell for him. This girl's love never failed to overwhelm him. She said she finds her parents in him. He couldn't even explain what he felt at that moment.

The urge to protect Sivaangi, cherish her, pamper her and give her everything she desires and deserves multiplied thousandfold. When Ashwin stroked her hair softly, she snuggled closer to him in sleep. Holding her protectively in her arm, he promised himself to keep her safe and soon fell asleep.
