Not long after The Fall, the world fell silent again as if it had not happened at all, yet like midnight storm, the peace only lasted long enough for the horror that followed to feel ever so magnified. Monsters, creatures, or demons, whatever you want to call them rose from the earth, seemingly from nowhere. They attacked cities in hordes, in a manner that was almost strategic. The most unfathomable horror was that when men gave into their despair, they would also be turned into those abominations. One day, these creatures descended from the sky, dubbing themselves as angels and proclaiming their protection over us. Many cities soon saw their streets populated with these angels. They boasted white gilded armour and probably most prominently, a pair of white feathered wings. That was when the slaughter ended, but where the war began.-But this story is about Mel'Loraye, a young woman and her journey in this fast changing world.
