Nadya Arkanova, "Agent Red", is a former SVR agent who has left behind her life in the agency and dedicated her life to destroying her former employer- and the dangerous results of their experiments. As Nadya navigates the shadowy world of espionage as a freelance agent, she seeks to take down the organization she was trained by while avoiding the sins of her past. She meets Markus Sauber, a former Chicago vigilante who has been recruited as an independent contractor for the CIA. He is tasked with a mission similar to hers- to take down the SVR and procure the results of their research- but also to kill the mysterious and dangerous Agent Red. When Markus meets Nadya, he begins to start to see the darker undertones of his new life in the CIA, and questions whether his mission is as righteous as it seems... As Markus begins to distrust his superiors, and a shadowy figure from Nadya's past reappears to hunt them down, Nadya and Markus are forced to work together. The only question is how long it will last before one of them turns on the other...
