This explains his behavior toward most other beings; additionally, he's had friends who have died due to Kieran and his group's actions. These are actions that Howard has had some hand in. He is an intense worshipper of Tommy's brother. Kieran is the main villain of the Gel-Squad story, and he has done some awful things, like destroying the planet and nearly all of its population, for the sake of rebirth. Howard was captured, and since Omeocoon doesn't have a system of justice because it's being rebuilt, Howard is stuck with what little improvised procedures the Gel-Squad has created. Howard tackles the oppression of being an enemy of Gel-Squad, and Cal has to find his place in the universe among the station's population. These two characters share individual stories as civilians in the G-Squad universe!
