A LETTERED SOUL: REFLECTIONS ON LITERATURE, CINEMA AND CULTURE .
I have often wondered about the very curdled natures of our opinions so much so that the perch of imagination simply becomes a bystanding abstraction and real thoughts of genuine merit slip between the fingers. That is a human tendency, to beat around the bush. I take offense to that and feel it was time to correct this stifling infirmity of expression. For me, the sanctity of words bear witness to crystal clear thoughts and in this new branch of prose writing, I will be governed by genuine articles of literature and cinema that ensure longevity of our opinions and directly appropriate real life. So here is the new start of my written, lettered soul.Ranked number 4 under Cinema and number 5 in Originality as of 11th May, 2018.

Imagine living in a broken society where life or death is decided, by a game. Our world operates through levels. The more levels you can complete the more highly ranked you are. By the orders of people in power, we are forced to take part in these harsh, gruesome, and violent games starting at the age of thirteen and ending when we die naturally, or when we die from losing a game against someone who won't show us mercy. The rulers of this sick society are domineering, power-tripping dictators. They made it to their spot by completing 57 levels of our game, but the power soon got to their heads. Turning them into violent rulers. Slaughtering anyone who resists the game, tries to run away, or tries to play it nice.In case you couldn't tell, this is the world that I live in.My family was one of the only living without the games in our plane of existence. It has been just me, my older sister, and my parents. But then when my sister turned thirteen, she lost her first game and when my parents had tried to save her from the harsh punishment all three were violently murdered by the man who had won the chess game. This was the first taste I got of the realities of this cruel world. A world where if you aren't good enough you die. And a world where a child at the age of 8 was left alone, his parents and his sister killed in front of his once young and innocent eyes. My name is Christopher Jones and I am one of the many "players" of this twisted game. It has been 8 years since the event and ever since I've been climbing my way up to the top. I have blood on my hands as well not but despite all of that I want revenge on the makers of this sick reality, Desperate to finally be rid of the people who are responsible for the death of my family. But I have to try and survive all 57 levels first.
