Insecurities: Area of my Face
I was a happy, outgoing, confident kid in elementary school, but that changed all because of one statement in middle school. I was insecure, self-conscious, and extremely shy. A comment I heard from one guy at school had brought me to my lowest. His opinion had changed how I viewed myself in a split of a second. I changed my appearance so, that I would fit his beauty standard. This story explains the instance when it had all started. Fortunately now in high school, my story "concaves up"...I am confident again. You can care, but never care too much. Always remember that it is your life and the people around you are merely people with thoughts; thoughts that shouldn't effect yours.

This is about a female teenager in high school. Her thoughts are captured in this story. She feels insufficient to others. Her body is not deemed attractive.

A very short scenario on self-representation, and the painful inner turmoil and trauma of living with hirsutism (excessive body hair, usually caused by hormonal imbalance, chronic hormonal conditions, genetics, or a combination). The author imagines what love would ideally look like if they embraced acceptance, in a society that has historically negatively portrayed the existence of the hairy women.An entry I found in my private journal written in 2019. A made-up scenario, which at the time was a way to help me vent during a severe period of depression, and safely indulge and acknowledge my longing for love, despite deep internalised shame. An ode to embracing all bodies, especially to the ones that no one writes about.
The Extinction of Individuals - A Short Story
Had to write a short story in my English class about self-harmony, self-discovery, self-whatever... I wasn't very pleased with the task nor the themes required and was extremely bitter while writing it. However, I am thoroughly pleased with my work. (And I also got an A+, so that felt amazing!)
