Marik Pov

At last the meal is devoured into my digestive system and now to see who is next to duel in this tournament.

"Number 7! Marik Ishtar." The man announced.

'Just my lucky day to be dueling a mortal who will soon entering the shadow realm.' I thought dangerously with a grin on my face.

Once I made my way up the elevator and to the dueling arena it seems that I am going to challenge Mai Valentine. On the other side down the platform I could see more of those innocent mortals and the devil herself; Hotaru. She doesn't believe that I will capture her friends souls and including her's as well. For now, let us see what Mai has for her final words that her soul will be mine.

"It's about time you showed up." Mai said in a impatient tone.

"There is no need to rush once this duel ends you'll be lifeless without your soul." I grinned at her as she return an scowl.

"I don't have time for any games. Let's get with this Marik." She said as I snickered.

'Foolish girl, she doesn't know how capable I am when this duel is going to end in hard chains for her.' I thought.

"Now...begin!" The duel announcer said.

Hotaru Pov

Throughout the duel it seems as if Marik did had some evil plot going on and I have a feeling that Mai is in great danger because of it. Darkness began to come over inside me that no one doesn't notice this and now that I have this lung problem and my powers hidden away from them. They don't know what's going on when I breathed so heavily or have any mental problems that are going through my heart and head. It had something to do with these Egyptian God cards that Marik, Yami and Seto have in they're deck that I don't have any attention to get involve with it. The duel however was becoming a mix change that Marik had done to make it a shadow game and so did the rules.

When Marik was going to summon the power monster card it went backwards that means Mai has the card instead. When she summoned it I felt my heart began to ache that Tea and Serenity took notice as they try to help me breathe steadily. I knew Marik took a quick glance at me that his lavender eyes look worried. I didn't know he would care which caused me to pass out in Yami's arms.
