Third Person's POV

Team 7 finished their C-rank mission and unexpected battle with a Jonin traitor of Takigakure. The Village Head Shibuki saw them out. Before leaving, Naruto asked Shibuki if they can talk privately and Shibuki agreed. They went a bit far from the rest of Team 7 to talk
"Hey Shibuki-san, can I ask you something?" Naruto asked
"What is it?" Shibuki asked, Naruto hesitated for a while and asked
"You know a Taki kunoichi named Fuu right?" Shibuki widened his eyes, Fuu is Taki's Jinchūriki and a Genin from Konoha is asking about her.
"You know.. mint hair and orange eyes?" Naruto said since Shibuki looked confused. Shibuki suspected that Naruto will try to take her but trusted him from current events and decided to proceed with caution
"Uh.. yes.." he answered, Naruto widened his eyes as he smiled widely
"Then, can I meet her?" Naruto asked excitedly, Shibuki sweat dropped as he stepped back
"She's not here at the moment, she's on a mission" from Shibuki's answer Naruto slumped
"Oh... okay" Naruto stood up straight with a grin
"Then can you send my regards to her? Tell her I said hi!" Naruto said as he raised an arm, Shibuki nodded
"Okay, I'll let her know"
"Alright!" Naruto shouted as he jumped and punched the air
"Naruto! We're leaving!" Sakura called, Naruto bid goodbye to Shibuki and left with Team 7.

As Team 7 were walking back to Konoha, Naruto put his hands behind his head and sighed, 'I really thought I was gonna meet her..' Naruto thought

"You wanted to meet her that badly?" Kurama asked as he smirked, Naruto blushed for a while but got over it, 'Shut up Kurama! She's a Jinchūriki like me! I wanted to meet another one of us, ya know!' Naruto thought. He sighed again, 'She had to be on a mission..'

Fuu's team returned to Takigakure. She stretched as they entered the village
"It's good to be home!" she exclaimed, she then noticed other villagers talking to one another
"That boy was brave, saving us when he's from another village"
"That nii-chan was awesome! He went like this! And that! It was so cool!"
"He truly is a hero"

Fuu who is curious approached one of them
"Hey hey, who are you talking about?" she asked, the woman showed a look of disgust but tried to smile
"Recently, Shinobis from Konoha came here and they helped Shibuki-sama defeat the traitor Suien" hearing that they're from Konoha, Fuu widened her eyes
"Does one of them happen to have blonde hair and whisker marks and wears orange?" she asked excitedly, the woman stepped back
"Y-yes.." she grinned as wings sprouted out of her lower back and she flew away to the office of he Village Head.

As Shibuki was sorting out papers, Fuu flew in which made Shibuki flinch
"Fuu! Would you please stop coming unexpe-"
"Shibuki! Is it true?" she cut him off, Shibuki raised a brow
"What is?" he asked
"That Genins from Konoha came here?" she asked
"Uh, yeah" Fuu fidgeted as she nervously asked
"And one of them was.. Uzumaki Naruto?" she asked, Shibuki was shocked since Fuu knew his name
"Yeah" he replied, tears formed in Fuu's eyes and started crying waterfalls
"Oi Fuu!"
"If only I didn't have a mission or finished early then I could've met him!" Fuu wailed, Shibuki sighed as he took out a tissue which Fuu immediately snatched and blow her nose
"Calm down. Anyways that reminds me, Naruto-san asked me about you and said he wanted to meet you" Shibuki said, Fuu had stars in her eyes as she looked at Shibuki with hope
"But I told him that you were in a mission" Fuu slumped upon hearing this
"And he asked me to send his regards to you, he said 'hi' " Fuu grinned happily
"Thanks!" she said, as she was about to leave Shibuki stopped her
"How do you know each other Fuu?" he asked, Fuu glanced back and grinned
"He's just like me!" she said flying out. Shibuki sighed as he went back to paperwork.

Fuu is flying around the village, making a few stunts here and there.
"He remembered me, Chomei! I just know it! Uzumaki Naruto and I will be great friends!" she said, Chomei chuckled at his host

"You mean great more than friends?" he teased, Fuu turned red as she pouted
"What are you saying Chomei? It's not like that!" she said as Chomei continued to laugh.

~In Konoha, a few days after~

Kakashi told Team 7 to meet at a bridge and they did. Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke were waiting for Kakashi to arrive.

~1 hour later~

Sasuke leaned to the railings of the bridge with his hands in his pockets, Sakura was next to him fawning over him, Naruto sat cross-legged on the floor dozing off.

~1 hour later~

Kakashi appeared in smoke, he gave them an eye smile and raised his arm
"Hey, good morning!" Naruto and Sakura went in front of him with angry looks
"YOU'RE LATE!" they yelled at Kakashi, Kakashi stepped back as he held both of his hands in front surrendering as he sweat dropped
"Sorry.. I got lost in the path of life" he said,
"LIES!" Naruto and Sakura said in unison not buying his excuse. Sasuke only did his Uchiha 'hn' as he signed watching the scene unfold.

They settled down as the three Genin stood in front of Kakashi
"Why'd you want to meet us anyway Kakashi-sensei? This better be important!" Naruto asked as he crossed his arms, Sasuke sighed
"For once, I agree with you. This better not be a waste of time" Sasuke said as Naruto's inner self clenched a fist, 'Stop trying to act cool, teme!' he thought. Sakura looked at Sasuke blushing, 'Sasuke-kun you're so cool!' she praised.
"Now now, I assure you this is important" Kakashi said as he took three papers from his vest and showed it to them. All three Genin looked at the papers with a puzzled look. Kakashi gestured them to take one and they did so. They looked at the contents of the paper with wide eyes

"This is..!"

"Yup! Team 7 will be entering the Chunin exams!" Kakashi announced with an eye smile. Naruto grinned widely as he jumped and hugged Kakashi twirling
"Thank you Kakashi-sensei! You're the best!"
"Okay okay, calm down Naruto" Kakashi said putting the blonde boy back down on his feet, Naruto cheered here and there while Sasuke smirked seeing this as a chance to improve and to see other opponents.
"We're gonna become Chunin together!" Naruto exclaimed. Despite the happy moods of the boys Sakura frowned
"I.. I won't participate" Sakura said making all three of the boys look at her surprised
"Why?" Naruto asked
"I can't do anything. I didn't do anything in most of our missions, especially the one in the Land of Waves. I'm not qualified.. so you guys should go without me" Sakura explained as Naruto had a sad look and Sasuke kept his impassive look but he was actually upset, slightly.
"That can't be done. You can only enter the Chunin exams as a three-man team. One member short then you're not participating" Kakashi said, Naruto turned to Sakura
"You have to come with us!" he insisted
"But what can I do? I can't do anything!" Sakura asked
"That's fine!"
"How?" Naruto paused for a bit then put his hands on Sakura's shoulders

"It's fine Sakura-chan. Everything will be alright, we're a team aren't we?" Sakura widened her eyes
"If you're not gonna participate then Sasuke and I won't participate too!" Naruto said shocking Sakura and Sasuke
"But-"
"We're a three-man team, Team 7! We do things together! So if you're not gonna participate then we won't too, right Sasuke?" Sasuke sighed at Naruto's decision but agreed anyway
"Right.." tears formed at the corner of her eyes, she wiped them and smiled
"Thank you.." she muttered, she then looked at Kakashi determined
"I'll participate too!" she said, Naruto smiled as Sasuke smirked
"Alright!" Naruto cheered. Kakashi smiled at his Genin
"Alright, Team 7 will be participating in the Chunin Exams!" he said.

As they were walking back to their homes Sakura asked
"I can't really fight, I'm not as strong as you two.." Naruto didn't want to see her sad so he then had an idea
"Then be our medic!"
"Eh?" the three stopped as Naruto went in front of them
"Sakura-chan can be our medic to patch up our wounds and Sasuke and I will do the main battle! That should do right?" Naruto explained as Sakura and Sasuke listened
"And if ever me and Sasuke are down Sakura-chan will protect us!" Naruto said, Sakura smiled
"I guess that's alright" Sakura agreed,
"Hn. Do what you like, just don't hold me back" Sasuke said walking away, Naruto held a fist at him
"Stop trying to act cool, teme!" Naruto shouted with Sasuke ignoring him. Sakura giggled at the two.

The Sandaime Hokage had a meeting with all Jonin and Chunin in regards to the Chunin Exams. He blew smoke from his pipe
"You all know that the Chunin Exams are coming up. I'd like to know who would enter" Hiruzen said, a few Jonin stepped forward to let their team enter. Then Kakashi, Kurenai, and Asuma stepped forward

"Team 8 consisting of Inuzuka Kiba, Hyūga Hinata, and Aburame Shino will be participating in the exams" Kurenai said
"Team 10 consisting of Nara Shikamaru, Akimichi Choji, and Yamanaka Ino will be participating in the exams" Asuma said
"Team 7, consisting of Uzumaki Naruto, Uchiha Sasuke, and Haruno Sakura will be participating in the exams" Kakashi said.

Hiruzen blew a puff of smoke
"They just became Genin, are you sure you want to let them participate?" Hiruzen asked, the Jonin sensei of each team nodded, Iruka went in front
"You can't let them participate, they just became Genin and they're basically rookies! They're not ready yet!" Iruka protested,
"He's right Kakashi. Why don't you let them skip this year and participate next year? They'll be able to have 1 year training, that's what I did" Might Gai said, Kakashi sighed as he turned to them
"I believe in my students. That's what a sensei should do right?" Kakashi said as Kurenai and Asuma nodded
"We believe that our Genin are capable enough to participate in the exams, even if they're rookies" Kurenai said
"She's right" Asuma nodded in agreement. Iruka sweat dropped clearly worried about his former students as Gai sighed and wrapped an arm around Kakashi's neck
"Then I'll look forward to your Genin Kakashi!" Gai said with a grin as Kakashi sweat dropped.

The Sand siblings are currently packing their things since they will depart to Konoha in time for the Chunin exams. As Gaara was keeping his stuff he opened a drawer to see the letter from Naruto. He smiled a bit in hopes that he meets the blonde Jinchūriki. He kept the letter in his bag and headed out to meet with Team Baki.

They stopped by at the Kazekage's office, they bowed
"We'll be taking our leave Kazekage-sama" Baki said. The Yondaime Kazekage Rasa raised his head and nodded. Before Team Baki left Rasa said
"Don't forget the plan" Baki nodded as they left. They exit the main gate of Suna and started heading to Konoha, a side of Gaara feels bloodlust thinking of the possible opponents who he can kill for his existence and another side of Gaara is excited because of the high chance he'll be meeting the blonde Jinchūriki who sent him a letter.

Naruto was walking around his room, trying to contain the excitement of the upcoming Chunin exams
"I can't wait! I can't wait! I can't wait!" Naruto repeated for the unth time. Kurama sighed

"Calm down will you? I'm trying to sleep here!" Kurama said mad that he can't sleep peacefully
"I can't! I'm very excited, ya know! I can kick ass there!" Naruto said doing a punch and turned to kick. Kurama rolled his eyes

"Save your energy for kicking asses in the exams. So shut up!" Kurama yelled making Naruto chuckle. Naruto lay on his bed and exhaled
"I can't wait, ya know!"

~3 days later~

Naruto was playing ninja with Konohamaru, Moegi, and Udon since they insisted. As they played, they stumbled upon Sakura
"Hey Sakura-chan!" Naruto greeted
"What are you doing?" she asked as she raised a brow. Naruto laughed as he rubbed the back of his head
"We're playing ninja!" he said, Sakura twitched from Naruto's answer. Konohamaru went near to Naruto
"Naruto nii-chan is she your girlfriend?" Konohamaru asked, Naruto widened his eyes but grinned as he blushed
"Hehe.. I guess you can say that!" Sakura grew a tick mark
"No way!" she yelled as she punched him. The three academy students went to Naruto's side in worry.
"That hurts Sakura-chan.." he said as he slowly stood up rubbing his cheek. Sakura huffed and walked away
"That forehead girl, is she really a girl?" Konohamaru asked making Sakura stop in her tracks. She turned to them with a furious face
"What did you just call me?" she asked as Naruto and the academy students ran away with Sakura running after them. As they ran away Konohamaru bumped into someone and fell on his butt. He looked up to see a girl with sandy blonde hair tied to 4 consecutive ponytails, her arms on her hips and a boy who wore all black with a face paint, who had his hands on his pockets

"Oi" he called grabbing Konohamaru's scarf and holding him up, Temari sighed
"Kankuro, you'll get in trouble with that" Temari warned
"Shut up Temari" Kankuro shot back slightly pissed
"That hurt you brat" he said with a smile which scared Konohamaru. Naruto noticed the object he carried and used a sensory jutsu, 'A puppet user..?' he thought. Kankuro was about to punch Konohamaru, Naruto clenched his fists and started to run to save Konohamaru but then a rock hit Kankuro's wrist making him let go of Konohamaru.

He grunted and looked to the tree behind him, seeing Sasuke sitting on the tree's branch playing with the rock
"What do you think you're doing in our village?" he asked as he smirked. Sakura squeeled inside with hearts in her eyes praising him in her mind as the three academy students looked at him surprised, Temari smirked clearly impressed with Sasuke. Naruto furrowed his brows, 'Why do you always have to interrupt and try to act cool, Sasuke-teme!' he ranted in his mind. Kankuro massaged his wrist as he glared at Sasuke
"Another kid that annoys me.." he muttered, Sasuke held the rock and crushed it to dust
"Get lost" he said, Kankuro took the what seems to be a puppet he carried, Temari widened her eyes knowing that this was a bad idea.

"Kankuro, stop" a new voice said, Sasuke widened his eyes and glanced to his right to see a boy with auburn hair standing upside down the tree's branch
"You're a disgrace to our village" he said narrowing his eyes.
"G-Gaara.." he said which made Naruto jerk his head to Kankuro then to Gaara with wide eyes. Sasuke glared at Gaara, 'When did he appear next to me?' Sasuke thought. Gaara jumped down between Temari and Kankuro
"Let's go" he said as they turned to walk away, Naruto was gonna stop them until Sasuke jumped in front of him, 'Teme! Stop interrupting!' Naruto thought obviously pissed at Sasuke
"Hey you there, what's your name?" Sasuke asked, Temari turned slightly blushing
"Me?" she asked
"No, the one next to you with the gourd" Sasuke said pointing at Gaara. Gaara and Kankuro turned
"Sabaku no.. Gaara. I'm also interested in you. What's your name?" Gaara asked impassively
"Uchiha Sasuke" Sasuke replied. As they were about to leave Naruto went in front of Sasuke

"Wait!" he called making the Sand siblings turn to face him, 'Auburn hair.. green eyes and the Kanji 'Ai' on his forehead' he thought

"Sabaku no.. Gaara?" he said aloud. Gaara didn't notice him until now, he looked at his features and remembered the letter, 'Blonde hair.. 3 whisker marks on each cheek.. wears orange..' he thought and realization hit him

"Uzumaki.. Naruto..?" he said

"Sabaku no Gaara.."

"Uzumaki Naruto.."

"Gaara.."

"Naruto.."

Naruto widely smiled and ran to Gaara
"Gaara!" he called
"Naruto..?" Gaara said as Naruto hugged him surprising everyone there. He was glad and in a bliss that he was able to meet one of his fellow Jinchūriki
"It's great to finally meet you!" he said
"R-right.." Gaara nervously replied not used to being embraced but was happy to finally meet him. Temari and Kankuro were shocked to see Gaara okay with a 'stranger' hugging him. Naruto pulled away and held out a fist, Gaara looked at his fist with a questioned look
"Bump your fist to mine! And apply a bit of your chakra" Naruto said as he grinned murmuring the last part, Gaara looked at his fist then fist bumped him letting chakra flow from his fist to Naruto's.

'Wih this, we can communicate mentally' Naruto's voice said. Gaara blinked and they were in a sewer-like place with water on the ground reaching their ankles
"Let me introduce to you, Kurama the Kyūbi!" Naruto said as Kurama appeared behind Naruto, Gaara looked at him in awe. He then looked behind him
"This is the Ichibi, Shukaku" he said as Shukaku appeared. Shukaku grew a tick mark upon seeing the fox

"Why the hell are you here you fox?!" he said pointing at Kurama

"Heh, just having a whiff of your scent disgusts me, you Tanuki" Kurama said as he frowned mockingly, smoke came out of Shukaku as he turned red

"Shut up you stinking fox!" Kurama looked at Shukaku who was in chains, he smirked

"Of course you'd be sealed, you're the Ichibi after all"

"You're sealed too fox!" Naruto and Gaara sweat dropped as the Bijus argued
"They.. get along well" Naruto said with Gaara nodding in agreement

"You know each other?" Sakura asked bringing the two back to reality
"Yep!" Naruto answered, he turned to Gaara
"Hey, how about I show you around Konoha?" Naruto suggested, Gaara was gonna decline but Naruto placed a hand on his shoulder and looked at his siblings
"I'll borrow Gaara for a while! It won't take long!" Naruto said, Kankuro furrowed his brows
"You think Gaara would really-"
"I'm going. It won't take long" Gaara cut him off releasing a few killing intent scaring Kankuro
"Well there you have it. See ya guys!" Naruto said as the two Jinchūrikis jumped to the trees and roofs leaving the rest of Team Baki and Team 7 along with the academy students.

Naruto gave Gaara a tour, going to his favorite places and to places he considered going soon. They ended their tour at the Great Stone Faces standing atop the face of the Yondaime Hokage Minato. They looked over the village, women shopping and having chats, men working and eating out, children playing, Konoha did the usual.
"So, what do you think of Konoha?" Naruto asked
"It's very peaceful" Gaara replied, Naruto grinned as he put his hands behind his head
"Yeah. We're a peaceful village but our Shinobi still train to prepare for a fight that could happen. To protect the village and everyone in it!" he exclaimed, Gaara looked at his fellow Jinchūriki
"You must really love your village.."
"Of course! Despite the villagers hating me because of what's inside me, I still love my village. And I'll show them what I'm capable of and become Hokage! And I'm also prioritizing the Jinchūriki" Naruto said raising a fist to the air, Gaara widened his eyes
"Kage huh.." Gaara muttered looking down at the Stone Faces they're standing on. Naruto also looked down and turned to Gaara
"I almost forgot!" Naruto said making Gaara turn his head to him
"Who are we standing on?" Naruto asked excitedly
"The Yondaime Hokage's face.." Gaara replied, Naruto grinned
"The Yondaime Hokage is my father!" Gaara widened his eyes because they have another similar factor
"But my parents died when I was born so I don't really know much about them" Naruto said rubbing the back of his head. Gaara clenched his fists
"My father.. is the Yondaime Kazekage" Gaara said quietly but was loud enough for Naruto to hear
"Really? We're the same!" Naruto said smiling. Gaara smiled but frowned instantly
"My mother died when I was born, and my father tries to kill me" Gaara said, Naruto showed a face of concern and patted Gaara's back
"It's alright! The Jinchūriki family is with you!" Naruto said with a grin, Gaara gave a small smile to the blonde Jinchūriki and the both of them talked about attending the Chunin exams. Before separating ways, Naruto wished Gaara luck in the exams and Gaara did the same to Naruto.

As Gaara entered the room, Team Baki looked at him
"You're finally here" Baki said as Gaara closed the door and leaned on the wall
"Now, let's review our plan"

Eeyyyyy, finishhedddd. Naruto finally meets Gaara! And next is the Chunin Exams!!! I can't wait. Again, each part of the exams is a chapter. Anywayysss, look forward to next chapter!
