Third Person's POV

Naruto slept soundly at his futon clearly tired from his training the previous days
"Let him rest. He must be tired from training" Kakashi said as he, Sasuke, and Sakura left with Tazuna.

Tazuna was finishing the bridge while Team 7 were watching over him. Suddenly a thick mist enveloped the area
"Manji formation!" Kakashi commanded as Team 7 surrounded Tazuna facing outwards, a chuckle was heard with no exact location from where it came from
"So you are alive" Kakashi said preparing a kunai
"Disappointed?" Zabuza said as he chuckled again
"I finally know your tricks Copy Ninja Kakashi" he said as three Zabuza appeared, each Zabuza in front of a member of Team 7. Sasuke was shaking as he looked down which Zabuza noticed
"He's trembling, are you that terrified?" Zabuza mocked,
"No.." Sasuke started, he looked up at Zabuza and smirked

"I'm trembling... in excitement!" he said as he used his kunai and slashed through the three Zabuza's making them turn into water. The mist cleared a bit revealing Zabuza and a shorter ninja a few meters away
"Oh.. he's improved. Looks like you got a rival Haku" he said fairly impressed with Sasuke's improvement. Kakashi looked at the shinobi called 'Haku' and recognized his mask and stature from the Anbu Kiri the last time. Sasuke charged at Haku, their kunais clanging as they try to inflict a wound on theur opponent but is blocked. As their battle moved a few meters away, Sasuke seemed to be gaining the favor in the fight, that was until Haku made hand signs with only one hand. 'Hand signs with one hand?!' Kakashi thought surprised with the one-handed signs

"Makyo Hyosho (Demonic Mirror Ice Crystals)" Haku said as plenty of mirrors made out of ice surrounded Sasuke like a dome, with Haku entering one of the mirrors and appeared in all mirrors from the inside. Sasuke was slightly intimidated with the jutsu but chose not to show fear. He tried to break one of the mirrors with a kunai but failed. Haku from each mirror took out three senbon and simultaneously threw them at Sasuke, Sasuke dodges and deflected most of them while some of them reached his body.
"Sasuke!" Kakashi called trying to run to his student but Zabuza went in front of him
"Your opponent is me" Zabuza said as he swung his blade at Kakashi while Kakashi dodged, he enjoyed telling Kakashi about Haku's Kekkei Genkai (Bloodline Limit) which was the Ice release. Two battles were happening and Sakura was doing her best to protect Tazuna.

Naruto finally woke up. He sat up and looked around the room noticing the kept futons at the side, 'Damn it!' he cursed to himself for sleeping a lot. He got up and fixed his futon, after setting it aside he changed to his favorite orange jumpsuit and tied his forehead protector to his forehead. He got out of the room to see Tsunami and Inari eating
"Good morning Naruto-kun" Tsunami greeted with a smile
"Morning!" he greeted with a grin, he quickly ate his breakfast and headed out
"I'm going to the bridge!"
"Be careful out there" Naruto nodded and left the house heading to the bridge Tazuna was building.

Inari stayed in his room, as Tsunami was cleaning the table the door was opened aggresively and two suspicious samurai men barged in.
"You're Tazuna's daughter huh... You'll have to come with us" the short man said. Inari was washing his hands in the bathroom and heard a glass break along with Tsunami's scream. Tsunami was on the floor backed to the wall, Inari came and saw the two men
"Kaa-chan!"
"Inari don't come here!" the two men looked at Inari
"A brat?" the one with the eye patch said, he looked to his shorter partner and smirked
"Should we grab him too?"
"Gato only asked for a single hostage" the short man stated. The man with the eye patch was about to unsheathe his sword until Tsunami interrupted him
"Wait!" she called, the two men looked at her
"Please don't hurt my son, he's just a boy. I'll do anything, just please don't hurt him" she pleaded, Inari widened his eyes shocked from what his mother said. The shorter man grabbed Tsunami and tied her hands at her back and led her out. Inari stood still watching his mother get taken away
"I'm sorry.. Kaa-chan.." Inari said quietly as he curled into a ball and cried, 'What should I do. I'm too weak to protect Kaa-chan' he thought. They left him there and he thought 'I'm scared. I don't want to die!' he then remembered the events last night. Naruto snapping at him and what Kakashi told him, he also thought about his father. 'Can I.. be strong too..?' he asked, he stood up and wiped his tears dry and furrowed his brows
"Tou-chan!"

They were walking to the forest until a voice called
"Wait!" they turned to see Inari
"Inari!"
"How cute. You came to save your mom" the man with the eye patch mocked
"Get away from Kaa-chan!" Inari shouted as hw ran towards them
"Inari don't!"
"He's pretty short on brains" the man with the eye patch commented
"Take him down" the shorter man said as they both were about to unsheathe their swords in a stance. Tsunami panicked for a while but her expression was now angry
"If you hurt him I'll-!" she threatened but was cut off as the shorter man chopped her nape for her to be unconscious
"Shut up and take a nap" Inari was still shouting and the two finally slashed their blades at him.

They looked over at the supposed dead body but they saw a log in pieces instead
"Kawarimi? The woman is gone" the shorter man pointed out
"Sorry I'm late" a new voice said, they turned to see a blonde haired boy who wears an orange jumpsuit. He settled Tsunami to the floor a bit far away from the two men and held Inari.
"You know, heroes usually show up at the last minute" he said, Inari opened his eyes and was surprised to see him
"Naruto nii-chan!" he said as he gasped, Naruto put Inari down
"Who else could it be?" he asked, he looked at Inari and grinned
"You did great Inari!" he praised Inari, Inari was shocked to hear Naruto praising him
"As you were running they forgot about your mom for a bit so I was able to get her away" Inari smiled from relief to see his mom okay
"How'd you know they were here?" he asked
"In the forest I saw a boar that was attacked and the trees were cut up too, like someone was practicing with a sword or something. And they were leading to the house so I followed them" Naruto explained, Inari was amazed at Naruto's thinking and complimented him

"Oh. It's one of those ninja brats that Tazuna hired" the eye patch man commented while the shorter one agreed
"Let's get him" the short one said and they both charged at Naruto. Naruto took out two shuriken and threw it at them, the two deflected it with their blades.
"Try something else brat!" the short man shouted. Naruto stood up and turned to them smirking
"I did" two Naruto's appeared behind them and kicked their heads as they spat out a few blood which isn't a few but not a lot either. The Naruto's disappeared in smoke and Inari looked at Naruto with an amazed look
"You did it!" Naruto laughed
"Yeah, believe it!" he said as he grinned and put out a fist to Inari. Inari laughed and smiled widely
"That was so cool. Like a real ninja!"
"You idiot, I am a real ninja" they both laughed.

After the samurai men were tied up with tape on their mouth, Naruto decided to apologize
"By the way, sorry about yesterday"
"Huh?" Naruto chuckled and rubbed the back of his head as he grinned
"Calling you a coward was pretty mean, I guess. It's not true, ya know" he said as he rubbed Inari's head
"Cause you're actually really brave" Inari started to whimper as tears fell from his eyes
"Darn it! I promised not to cry anymore!" he said as he wiped the tears from his eyes
"You're gonna call me a baby again, but I can't stop!" he said as he continued to cry at the same time try to stop crying. Naruto looked over at the water with his hands on his pockets
"What are you talking about? You're happy so what's wrong with that?" he said as he smiled at Inari
"When you're happy it's okay to cry!" Inari seemed to calm down a bit,

"Oi Naruto! Don't forget about what you're supposed to do!" Kurama reminded, Naruto flinched a bit, 'Okay, okay!' Naruto turned back
"I'll leave things here to you okay?"
"Yeah!" Naruto then ran to the bridge to catch up to Team 7.

Sasuke was breathing heavily, plenty of senbon on his body. Haku just watched from the mirrors
"You can't beat me" he said, Sasuke grunted and tried to break one of the mirrors again but it stayed spotless. Haku took out a few senbon and threw them at Sasuke, Sasuke deflected them but there were still senbons that hit him. He fell to his knees as he bled, a furious expression was on his face because of his current situation.

Kakashi couldn't see. The mist was too thick. Regardless, he kept his guard up, he uncovered his left eye showing the Sharingan. He looked around to predict Zabuza's attack but seemed useless as Zabuza hits Kakashi. Kakashi was almost caught off guard as Zabuza appears and manages to inflict a wound on Kakashi, a big gash that went diagonally on his torso. Kakashi coughs up a few blood, the wound was big but the blade didn't go too deep. Zabuza smirked, somewhat happy to be gaining the favor in a fight with the Copy Ninja.
"You won't win this fight. Especially those brats you brought along" Zabuza said to Kakashi. Kakashi breathed heavily from the wound he got trying to supress the pain
"Don't underestimate.. them.." Kakashi said with a small smirk, Zabuza raised a brow not believing him.

A bomb was detonated nearby creating smoke catching everyones attention. Kakashi smiled
"Well, looks like we're complete" Zabuza looked to where the bomb was and as the smoke was clearing out a figure was seen. A boy who wore Konoha's forehead protector, he grinned and did a pose
"Uzumaki Naruto is here, ya know!" Naruto claimed. Sasuke widened his eyes and smiled, 'Thats it! With Naruto here he can attack the mirrors from the outside and I'll attack from the inside simultaneously!' he thought just when Naruto entered the dome.
"Yo Sasuke! I came to save your ass!" Naruto said as he grinned, Sasuke looked at Naruto in disbelief and grew a tick mark
"You idiot! Why'd you come in here? You're supposed to attack from outside!" Sasuke yelled,
"How- I didn't know about that!"Naruto yelled back, Kurama sighed watching the scene

"You really should've attacked from outside"

'Well yeah, but how was I supposed to know? This is the first time I'm seeing this kind of jutsu'

"You could obviously tell from the outside, and thought of a plan"

'...'

'I guess you're right. It's too late now though' Naruto replied nonchalantly making Kurama face palm. Sasuke also face palmed in his head, Haku sweat dropped at the scene, 'He really is dumb' Haku thought
"No matter.." he mumbled as he took out another set of senbon and threw them at the two Genin. Naruto noticed and took out his kunai to deflect the senbon, back to back with Sasuke to protect themselves. Haku clicked his tongue and did the same thing with them deflecting it. As they went on Sasuke coughed a few blood and kneeled, Naruto turned to him and jut realized that there were senbon on Sasuke's body.

"You idiot, you're hurt" Naruto said, Haku took this chance and threw senbon at Naruto. Naruto who focused at his injured teammate realized too late, Sasuke feels a sensation in his eyes. He stands in front of Naruto and deflected all the senbon. Naruto widens his eyes as he notices a change in Sasuke
"Sasuke.. your eyes!" Naruto said smiling, Sasuke awakened his two tomoe Sharingan. Haku too notices a change in him
"Sharingan huh.. you have a Kekkei Genkai too.." Haku muttered, he took out another set of senbon and threw them at Sasuke. Sasuke sees through the senbon and deflects them all, he smirks, 'So this is the Sharingan..' he thought. Haku furrowed his brows and all of them threw senbon simultaneously. Sasuke continues to deflect and dodge the same goes for Naruto. This went on until Naruto was hit with the senbon
"Ow.." he said, 'Kurama'

"Don't worry kit" Kurama assured as Naruto's wounds started to heal. Naruto got hit with plenty of senbon again, he coughed out blood and went on his knees
"Naruto!" Sasuke called in worry,
"I'm fine.." Naruto said as he winced in pain, Haku went out of the mirror and threw senbon targeting Sasuke from behind, Sasuke notices and deflects them but Haku shunshined to the other side and hit Naruto with senbon. Naruto coughs out more blood, hands and knees on the ground. Sasuke widened his eyes, anger came over him. He had a furious expression as he did a few handsigns
"Katon: Gokyaku no Jutsu!" he said as he blew out a large ball of fire. The mirrors melted but formed again.
"Damn it!" Haku stood still formulating a plan, he then smirked. He threw senbon at Sasuke and Sasuke deflects them, but Haku goes out of the mirror and throws senbon at Naruto.

Instead of Naruto getting hit it was Sasuke.

Naruto stared at Sasuke as he coughed out blood and fell to the ground, Naruto caught him
"Sasuke..!" Sasuke breathed slowly as Naruto held him
"Why did you protect me?" Naruto asked, Sasuke slowly turned his head to Naruto
"My body just.. moved on its own.." he said, Naruto felt tears fall from his eyes, Sasuke looked above and said
"I wanted to kill him.. but I guess not.." he closed his eyes and fell limp.
"Sasuke!" Naruto shouted.

Kakashi looked over the dome in worry
"Are they okay..?" he asked himself

Sakura brought Tazuna far from the battle, she looked behind and squeezed her hand
"Sasuke-kun.."

Naruto held Sasuke's limp body. He was shaking, he felt sad and mad. He clenched his fists and furrowed his brows, then Haku used this chance to throw senbon. He threw senbon again and again as blood went out of Naruto's mouth and body from the senbons.

"Naruto!" Kurama yelled. Anger came over him as he growled, his claws and teeth sharpened, his slit-like eyes became thinner and his chakra was flowing to Naruto and their anger became one.

A red chakra was covering Naruto, his nails grew sharp, his whisker marks became thicker, and his eyes turned red with slit-like pupils. The chakra was intimidating, Haku felt fear
"What is this chakra.." he muttered, the chakra formed into a fox that let out a loud roar, the senbon fell from his body and his wounds healed instantly surprising Haku. Naruto turned to Haku and roared. He charged at the mirror and broke it instantly, he did the same to all the mirrors and broke Haku's jutsu. He punched Haku and broke his mask. He was about to hit him again but stopped
"What are you doing? Finish me" Haku said, Naruto widened his eyes, he was about to kill him. He stepped back and he started to go back to his normal self.
"Kill me Naruto-san"
"I-I don't want to kill you"

Kakashi and Zabuza felt the chakra, they stopped their fight and looked over at the dome
"This chakra.. Naruto!" Kakashi said worried
"This chakra.. Kakashi? No. This chakra is even too much for him" Zabuza said. Kakashi sighed as he wiped blood from his wound and took out a scroll and put his blood through the scroll
"Let's finish this Zabuza. There's something I need to do" Kakashi said as he flailed the open scroll in different directions. He kept the scroll and did a few signs and put his hand on the ground

"Kuchiyose no Jutsu! (Summoning Technique)" 8 different dogs appeared and on Kakashi's command they sniffed out Kakashi's blood on Zabuza and bit him to immobilize him. The mist started to clear out and Kakashi stood in front of Zabuza.
"I'll show you a technique. It's not a copy, I invented this technique" Kakashi said as he did a few signs and held out his right hand. Lightning was formed in his hand and it sounded like a thousand birds chirping
"The Copy Ninja's original technique, Chidori"

"Why are you with him? He's just using you!" Naruto shouted, Haku only looked down and smiled a little
"I live only for him, if he can't use me then I should die" Haku stated, Naruto clenched his fists, mad about Haku's messed up thinking
"Kill me Naruto-san.." Haku insisted, Naruto slowly took out his kunai and reluctantly walked to Haku. His face showed guilt and fear,
"Don't be afraid" Haku said, Naruto grunted. As he attempted to stab Haku, Haku blocked it
"Sorry, there's still something I have to do" Haku said as he shunshined away.

Kakashi charged at Zabuza, as he was about to stab him Haku went in front and took the hit instead. Kakashi was surprised when Haku protected Zabuza through the end, Zabuza was about to stab Kakashi through Haku but Kakashi quickly jumped away. He swiftly removed his hand from Haku's chest and gently layed him to the ground.

"Hm. He was still useful in the end" Zabuza said as he looked at Haku's corpse. Naruto saw the whole thing. He went to Haku's side, he didn't move, he really is dead. Naruto clenched his fists and looked furiously at Zabuza
"You!" he was about to charge at Zabuza but was stopped by Kakashi
"No Naruto, I'll handle this" Kakashi said as he exchanged hits with Zabuza, their blades clanging as they fought.

Sakura noticed the mist clearing, she turned to check the battle and widened her eyes as she saw Sasuke's unconscious body.
"Sasuke-kun!" she called as she ran to him and Tazuna followed. She held him and looked at him
"No.."
"Sasuke-kun!!!" she yelled as she cried, Tazuna felt bad for the kid.

Kakashi was about to finish Zabuza
"So this is the outcome huh?" a new voice said, they all turned to see Gato with a bunch of samurais and thugs with him. Haku's body was in front of them, he used his cane to poke Haku's body and kicked him
"He died huh?" Gato said, Naruto felt furious, he was about to attack Gato but was stopped by Kakashi
"No Naruto" Naruto clicked his tongue and looked at Zabuza
"Don't you care about him?!" he asked
"How are you calm seeing him treated like that?! You even used him as a shield!" he continued, he then pointed at Haku
"He really liked you, ya know?! Don't you feel anything for him?!" he shouted,

"Brat.."

"Huh?"

"Don't.. say anything anymore.." he said as tears fell from his eyes, Naruto was shocked to see him cry, he really did care about Haku. Zabuza's bandage was removed revealing his whole face
"Brat, give me a kunai" Zabuza said, Naruto hesitantly took a kunai and tossed it to Zabuza. He caught it with his mouth amd charged at Gato's men.

~After the bloodbath~

He lied on the ground panting. Kakashi went to his side
"Kakashi.. can you do me a favor..? Bring me to Haku.." he asked, Kakashi nodded and carried him to Haku.

He placed Zabuza next to Haku. Zabuza turned to see him and caressed his cheek
"Haku.. I hope I go to the same place you're going.." Zabuza said as he smiled and slowly closed his eyes.

Sasuke slowly opened his eyes, Sakura gasped and smiled while crying
"Sasuke-kun!" she said as she hugged him, Sasuke winced in pain, he regained consciousness but there were still senbon on his body, as Sakura pulled away from the hug he asked
"What happened?"
"I don't really know myself.." Sakura answered. They looked over at the where the fight took place and decided to catch up to them.

"Naruto!" Sakura called. Upon seeing her guilt washed over him
"Sakura-chan.. Sasuke is.." he said
"Sasuke-kun is alright!" he widened his eyes as he looked at Sakura noticing that she was helping Sasuke walk. Sasuke sighed and raised his free hand. Relief came over him seeing that his teammate was okay.

Snowfall came, everyone looked above to see snow.
"Snow? At this time of year?" one of the villagers asked, they looked above admiring the snowflakes. A gentle smile graced Naruto's face
"Haku right?" he asked Kakashi
"Yeah.."

~One day later~

The bridge was finally finished, and it was time for Team 7 to go home. Tazuna's family accompanied them to the bridge, Inari and Naruto held their tears
"It's okay to cry.. Inari"
"You can cry too.. Naruto nii-chan"
They continue to hold it but they let it out in the end as they hugged each other
"You better come visit nii-chan!" Inari said as he pulled away, Naruto nodded as he wiped his tears
"Yeah!"

"Bye everyone!" they bid their goodbyes and Team 7 crossed the bridge. One of the villagers turned to Tazuna
"Anyway, what are you gonna name the bridge?" he asked, Tazuna chuckled
"I got the perfect name. It's called The Great Naruto Bridge!"

As they head home Sakura asked Sasuke to go on a date with her but he rejected her. Naruto was discussing with Kurama in his mindscape.
"Kurama, what happened that time?" he asked thinking back to his battle with Haku

"You were mad right? I was also angry that time. My chakra works up whenever I'm mad, our anger became one and my chakra took over you" Kurama explained, Naruto stayed silent thinking about the event

"Look kit, you can't control my power.. yet" Naruto jerked his head to Kurama upon hearing the word 'yet'
"What do you mean?" he asked

"You can control my power, you're not ready yet but soon you will" Naruto grinned and held out his fist
"Yeah!" Kurama smiled at Naruto

"Naruto!" Sakura called, Naruto flinched
"Huh?"
"I've been calling you many times now! What's with you?" she asked, Naruto laughed nervously as he rubbed the back of his head
"It's nothing. I was just thinking of going home. Oh when we get there, let's go to Ichiraku Ramen!" Naruto suggested, Kakashi gave an eye smile
"Sure, we can eat once we arrive there" Sakura and Sasuke nodded in agreement.
"You're treating us Kakashi-sensei!" Naruto pointed at Kakashi
"Eh? Why me?"
"Cuz you're our sensei, ya know!" they laughed and smile throughout their journey back go Konoha.

Yeeyyy!! Oh my gahd, this was sooo long. I really insisted on putting the battle in one chapter, sorry this was late tho. We still had performance tasks to accomplish and 2nd semester will be starting next week. I might end up updating every Friday to Sunday but nevertheless! I will still do my best to update😄 look forwaed to next chapter!
