Dominick POV

My mind was torn between my fight and Lana. She'd be due home today and here I was at the gym putting my body through hell. I sighed and dried the sweat from my face with a towel before glancing to the tv in the office. The usual political bullshit.

"Where you at man?" I glanced to Cody and shrugged before standing.

"Wondering when Lana is gonna get home. House isn't the same without her." He nodded in response and glanced to the clock.

" Why don't you call her, see if she's landed or if it goes to voicemail. At least you know she's on her way back." He made a point and so I did, going over to my bag and pulling out my phone. It only rang twice before I could hear her fumbling for the phone.

"Hello Mr.Cruz." I chuckled slightly and wandered outside, glancing around.

"Hey beautiful. Have you left yet?"

"I should be to you in a few minutes. I had to stop by base. You can call my old phone, this one's going out of service soon. How are you feeling?" I leaned against the brick wall and glanced in the shop.

"Good. This is my last training day. TJ isn't going to know what hit him." She laughed softly and I looked up to see that familiar blue Hellcat as the phone hung up. The car stopped and she got out, grinning as she ran towards me. I engulfed her in my arms before she huffed.

"Had I know how sweaty you were I wouldn't have darted into your arms."

"Admit it. You love it." I chuckled and kissed her lips. She looked to the gym and smirked slightly.

"Care to get your ass handed to you?" She pulled away and went to her car, grabbing her duffle.

" So confident?" I opened the door for her as she shrugged.

"I don't need to even be confident." She tugged off her jacket and shirt, leaving her in a sports bra. She wasn't bashful changing from her jeans into some shorts. " So you gonna fight like a bitch or actually fight?" I scoffed and tackled her pinning her to the mat. Even with being surprised she was swift to bridge herself and flip us over.

" How did you-?" Her legs wrapped over my chest as she began bending my arm. Needless to say I tapped and glanced to her, huffing.

"I believe that's the point isn't it? Now try again. I'll only use one arm and my legs. Fair?" I rolled my eyes before we once again began to roll. Without hesitation she'd trapped me in a triangle.

" Come on Dom. She's chewing you out." Cody chuckled as she let me go. She smirked to him and waved him on. " You think you can beat me. Come on then." He smirked back, yet his fate was the same. She had her arm locked under his chin in a choke faster than I could get up.

"I do think he lasted longer than you." She let him go and stood up, stretching.

" So where did you go this time Miss Badass?" Cody chuckled after rubbing his neck.

"Russia. I had to issue paperwork to pardon someone and escort someone to Russia." She grabbed a hoodie out of her bag and slipped it over her frame.

"Let me guess, that's all you can tell me?" She shrugged and sat down.

"I pardoned Edward Snowden. The hacker." I was curious now. She'd never told me much about these things. For once I knew this person. "He is on base for a bit. Good friend of mine." Joe chimed in now sitting on the bench.

"I'm surprised Obama pardoned him."

"He didn't. We the Navy seals put in a request. It's a long story. They're putting out a movie in a few months. I figured I might as well tell you all before you hear it on the news and such." She stood and grabbed her bag. "I'll take you all the meet him one day. He's pretty brilliant. I'm gonna head home. Dom?" I snapped out of it and nodded, standing and pressing a kiss to her lips.

"I'll be home in a few. Gonna shower before I leave. I know dojo is dying to see you."

"Alright love, I'll see you when you get home." She smiled before walking out. I wanted a drink after that conversation. To think what she'd seen and known.

"His girlfriend has a Instagram." Cody mumbled pulling out his phone. "Drinking buddies." He showed me the picture and smirked. " What you jealous of him ? You ain't even met the guy Dom."

"I don't need to meet the guy." I scoffed and crossed my arms. " I don't want to get to know him. What counts is she's home and safe." I grabbed my gym bag and went to the showers, rushing through it all so I could just get home. Part of me wanted to question her and her intentions. The other half just wanted to be happy she was back home.

Thankfully the ride home was traffic free. The house coming into view and her car parked inside the gates. I walked up to the front door, fumbling with my keys till it opened. Dojo as always was waiting patiently by the door and I could smell some sort of spicy dish being made.

"Lana?" I hollered and walked towards the kitchen.

"You should be able to find me pretty easy Dom." She laughed, her back to me. She had a black silk robe wrapped around her frame, making my gulp. "I was thinking a meal and a movie?" I walked up behind her, shaking my arms around her torso and pressing kissed to her exposed neck.

"Are you the meal?"

"No I'm the dessert." She glanced to me once I pulled away slightly, a smirk crossing her red lips. The side of me that just wanted to be glad she was home. I didn't care why she'd left after today.
