First Class of the Year

Jungkook POV

We ran all the way to Yugyeom's first class before panting and coming to a stop.

"You're still here? I thought you'd head to your own class.", Yugyeom asked through panting laughs.

"Oh SHOOT! School. I kinda forgot about that.", I said before running off, only stopping to wave back at Yugyeom.

I sprinted to my first class, Business.

I was hoping that I might have a class with Yugyeom, and it turns out we do. Art. Even though he is majoring and I'm only minoring in Art, we still share a class. I only have one class though, while he has many since he's majoring in the subject. Sadly, that is not the class I'm about to go to. But Business is nice too. I picked it because I liked the idea of starting my own company. Maybe for art or music. Many people thought it was boring though, and so I was happy that there wouldn't be many people there.

I ran into the class to see that class had already started. Shoot.

I entered out of breath.

"Mr. Jeon. You're late. And on your first day.", The professor said.

I quickly looked up at the sound of that voice and saw the last person I expected to see, smirking at me like this was a game to him.

"Hyung?!", I exclaimed.

"It's Mr. Kim to you. Now go sit. I will let you go today since it's your first day, but tardies will not be excused after this."

I walked to the desk he pointed to in a daze. He never told me he would be working here. How rude.

I sat down, and once I felt a bit less shocked, I looked over to my side to see who was next to me. Maybe I could befriend them. But no. I was sent into another shock as I realized who was sitting next to me. Taehyung. Great. Just great. He was already glaring at me. And you know what, Ima glare right back. He deserves no respect. Don't care if he's two years older (unless he skipped grades too, but looking at him I highly doubt it) or if he's rich and a danger to my position at this school. I freaking hate him. That's not gonna change. (A/N - riiiiight you two are totally not gonna fall for each other)

"Now, if you two are done staring into each other's souls, Jungkook please come up and answer this question.", Hyung- I mean Mr. Kim said, snapping me and Taehyung out of our staring contest with red tinting my cheeks. I looked up to the board to see what the question was. What are the top three rules for when creating a presentation used for a new product and/or idea? Why are these rules important to follow? State your reasons for each rule.

I smiled a bit because I knew Mr. Kim *cough* *cough* hyung *cough* *cough* wasn't trying to be mean. Yes we hadn't actually learned this in Business yet. Heck, it's the first day, but I knew he knew that I knew this already. It was his way of challenging me. Because I had to speak. In front of people.

I walked up to the board and started talking, "Rule number one: the information. It is a simple rule, but the type of information you display is surprisingly much more important than one might think. Having the right points come first, and not having too much extra information is important. One might bore the audience if the information is not collected correctly. For example, if one is talking about a new phone, and is trying to sell it, making sure the right types of information is shown is crucial. One should show a summary of the whole product first, before going into the specific details. Rule number two of presentation, is the presentation itself. Or as you might say it: formatting. Formatting, or how it looks, is very important. Once the information has been written, the way it is shown is very important. One could have an incredible amount of information, but if the visuals are not eye-catching, they will not be able to hook the audience on, and therefore all of the information you have would not amount to much. The way you format is important as well. It should not be 'cool', in the sense of eye-catching. It should look professional and well put together, with the information that was included in rule number one, shown in a manner that highlights the important points. Rule three, how you present it. Now that the information is in the slideshow, presenting is the next step. One can have an amazing slideshow, but if they look like they don't know what they are doing, they will not be able to sell their product or idea. One must look professional, and speak professionally. Have notes, ideas, ready to present. Make sure there is nothing unknown about the product or idea. Be ready for any questions. That is professionalism. These three rules are imperative to the process of presenting anything."

I finished my speech, only being greeted with a silent classroom.

"Great job Jungkook, you may head back to your seat.", Mr. Kim (this is so weird to have to not say hyung-) said.

I walked back and slumped into my seat.

I heard Taehyung scoff and turned to look at him as he muttered 'know-it-all' under his breath.

I scoffed right back at him, whispering, "Really? Or are you just embarrassed that someone younger than you knows more about this than you do?"

I saw his ears turn red in anger. "You seriously don't know when to shut up do you?!"

"And you don't know when to whisper.", I said quietly, smirking as I saw hyung - sorry - Mr. Kim walking to our desks.

"Taehyung do you have anything to say to the class?"

"... sorry sir.", Taehyung said, swallowing up his ego (with great difficulty probably, considering how much of it he has.).

"I thought so. No talking in class okay?", Mr. Kim turned to the whole class now.

When murmurs of agreement were heard, he got back to the lesson.

I just stared at him the whole time. Seriously, Namjoon hyung? You couldn't have given me a heads up that you'd be my freaking Business teacher?

A/N - NEXT CHAPTER IS DONEEEEEE! *Does tiny dance in victory* I literally was spending forever trying to verify this account so I couldn't publish anything. BUT NOW. I is here (amaJin grammar right there). Again, nothing has really happened, I'm kinda just waiting, trying to introduce all of the characters. Like Namjoon is here now. Ngl, originally I planned on making Yoongi the professor and Jungkook's brother, but nahhhhhh. I can't see Yoongi teaching Business. So I let the 148 IQ man have the job. I wanted to make Namjoon the principal sooo.... He can't now though since he's the Business teacher but it's okay. aNyWaYs, I ask again, how was it? Thank you if you read even three chapters in. I know this seems really boring rn, but you stayed anyway so THANK YOU!!
