'Charles is pole, Ferrari is fast this weekend but we should be able to at least get P2 or P3 for the both of you', Horner explains.

'I agree', Max and I say both at the same time.

'Twinsies', I laugh.

'You two are weird', Horner grins.

'Try your best and have a great and safe race, I'm proud of you two either way', Horner gives us a pep talk and then walks out.

'Why does that man always walk out immediately after saying something?', Max asks.

Sienna's point of view

'I'm proud of you', I give him a kiss on his cheek.

'I know sweetheart, I know', Lando hugs me tight.

'No matter what place you finish today, I will always love you.'

'Sienna, I'm fine, I am learning to love myself, I'll be fine no matter what position I finish', he says.

'Good, but if you forget, just say the word and I'll remind you', I give him a pat on his back.

'I know, I gotta go now, racing time. Make sure to root for me yes?', Norris says.

I nod and blow him a kiss.

Luciana's point of view

'Drive safe Maeve, you can do this and we love you', I kiss her head.

'Thank you dears', Maeve blows us a kiss.

'Kick some ass', Sienna smiles.

I love our little tradition, making sure Maeve knows we love her.

We always get together in the Red Bull garage even though Sienna and I belong in the Ferrari one.

'Make sure to drive safe, be careful okay?', I tell Charles.

'Yes, Princess. Don't worry about me', Charles smiles.

'Good luck, my favorite driver', I blow him a kiss.

Now that the cameras are here and everyone thinks we're dating we have to be on 24/7, everywhere we have to be careful, we can't afford to let anyone know it's an act.

Maeve's point of view

'Mein kleines Mädchen', I see my dad standing next to my car.

'Hello dad', he bends over and gives me a hug.

'Make sure you drive fast, but be careful yes?', he says.

'I am always careful, but I will never back down', I smile.

'As you should, you are an amazing driver', he pats my head.

'Thank you dad'

'Now go and have some fun', he hands me my helmet.

I put on my helmet, racing time.

RACE

It's weird you know, a street race.

It's basically, if you get pole, there is a high percent chance that you win.

So me qualifying as P4 for Sienna wasn't a smart idea, but Norris deserves it.

My time will come again.

I'm not saying I won't get a podium this race, because I will still try.

I look at the red lights above my head.

My eyes focused on them.

I hear the car engines rearing behind me.

I am so happy to be able to race here.

Monaco is known for its tight and twisty layout

Luckily I'm flexible

There are tight corners, elevation changes, narrow straights... it's the dream

Just like my dad I enjoy street races far more than a normal track.

Like father like daughter I guess.

Round 17:

RADIO: Okay Maeve watch out at turn 8, two cars crashed into each other.

MAE: What the fuck? Are they okay?

RADIO: I'm checking.

MAE: Who are the drivers?

RADIO: It's Lance Stroll and an alpine.

PLEASE BE ESTEBAN PLEASE BE ESTEBAN.

RADIO: It's Esteban Ocon.

RADIO: They are okay, but a lot of debris, watch out.

Round 29:

Still the same as before, Lando is driving in front of me.

But I am moving to the DRS detection zone.

RADIO: 1.1, push Maeve, push.

MAE: Understood.

I step on the gas pedal, going a little too harder than I should.

RADIO: 1.003 come on Maeve, one turn left.

I see Lando slowing down for turn 16.

I increase my speed, fast enough for DRS but slow enough to make the turn.

RADIO: Yes Maeve! 0.242, drive and you have it.

MAE: Thank you, Owen.

We are through turn 16 and I drive closely behind Norris.

DRS detection zone.

RADIO: Yes! You got it, Vettel!

MAE: Fuck yes!

We drive into turn 19 and DRS zone starts.

I push the car to its extreme.

I drive wheel to wheel with Lando

Only a minute and then the street will narrow again.

This is it, this has to be it.

I push my car in front of his.

MAE: Fuck he's good.

RADIO: Come on Maeve.

Norris brakes for turn 1 and I am in front.

I take the inside.

RADIO: YES MAEVE!! Yes you did it!!

It has been an amazing race so far, really great.

I enjoy watching the street.

Lando isn't trying to overtake me, especially since there are like 3 seconds between us.

I'm just enjoying this race.

Max is racing in front of me this entire time.

Although I really really want to overtake him it might be better to do so in the last rounds.

If I keep him in close in front of me I could proceed to do so.

If I do it now, there is a high chance he'll race the fuck out of me and I am way too comfortable.

I know that isn't the right mindset but still.

Round 64

RADIO: yellow flag, yellow flag, incident between Tsunoda and Sargeant

MAE: Where?

RADIO: Turn 10, careful.

MAE: They alive?

RADIO: Yes, alive and well.

MAE: Is it going to be a safety car?

RADIO: Probably yes, a real lot of debris, cars are in the way.

MAE: Okay, do we pit?

RADIO: If the safety car is confirmed then yes, you will pit first then Max.

MAE: Will that make me P2?

RADIO: Since Lando is 3 seconds behind you won't lose any positions, when Max pits you will possibly gain his position yes.

MAE: Okay okay thank you, Owen.

RADIO: Safety car confirmed, pit when you can.

MAE: Pitting right now, will I be on time to keep my position?

RADIO: Since Lando slowed down a lot you will probably keep P3.

MAE: Amazing.

I drive into the pitlane.

I have been pushing and pushing since lap 70.

Leclerc is just milliseconds away from me as we reach turn 16.

I get the DRS and when we reach the DRS zone I immediately push my car in front of him.

I move to P1.

Just as we reach the tight turn 1 I notice Charles taking the outside.

Wow, he's not scared.

I try my best to keep my car in front but I just can't.

I guess he really wants to be P1.

He puts his car in front of me.

He's P1.

Round 78.

RADIO: Max is behind you, based on our strategy it's you who needs to be in front of him this race.

MAE: Like heads and tails or something?

RADIO: No Maeve, it really is our strategy, he will keep the other cars away from you, he won't try to overtake you, go catch Leclerc.

I get DRS and I make sure to stay close to Charles.

It's now or never.

I push my DRS button and Charles and I are wheel to wheel.

He's pushing really hard.

I am pushing really hard.

MAE: I can't press my pedal harder than this.

RADIO: You better try.

With all of my weight I press the pedal as hard as I can.

I can see the finish line.

For a second I'm in front of Charles and it looks like I will win.

But then...

In the last seconds... Charles overtakes me.

He wins.

I'm P2.

Charles Leclerc wins in Monaco.
