"Wow, that's a big villain!"

A green haired boy said, pushing through the crowd to see the villain attack up closer. His eyes shimmered with amazement, watching the new hero, Kamui Woods, take action.

"We're gonna be late for school," I said telepathically, my tone showing my unamusement. "Just a little longer!" The two idiots beside me exclaimed in unison, leaning over the caution boundary made by the hero, Backdraft. These nuisances are Aiura Mikoto and Toritsuka Reita.

I sighed and rolled my eyes, looking at them watch the building-sized villain yell and smash objects around the town with amazement. "What's so interesting about these villain attacks, they happen basically every day here." Toritsuka turned to me, a large beam falling and hitting the ground, which created a large breeze to hit us. The breeze made his purple hair flow around and cover his face. "It's because it's so cool! See, look at Kamui Woods!" Toritsuka exclaimed with excitement, pointing to the hero made of wood who was ready to strike his ultimate move.

I personally don't care for all these villain attacks or all these heroes, since some of their powers are not only ridiculous, but they all just seem like rip-off psychics.

You may be wondering, "Psychics? I thought those were a conspiracy theory from pre-quirk days," so let me explain something to you.

Before the era of 'Quirks', everyone lived powerless and thrived just fine. Among those ordinary humans were people known as 'Psychics' who had extraordinary powers, such as foresight, spiritual communication, telepathy, and more. Psychics had to live in secret in fear of ordinary humans taking advantage of them or manipulating them for their own benefit.

One day, a baby in Qingqing, China illuminated light, bringing forth the first known quirk in existence. Ever since that glowing baby, more people began to gain quirks all across the globe.

The psychic population started to shrink, almost completely wiping out and replaced with quirk users, but there are still some psychics thriving today, such as me.

My name is Saiki Kusuo and I am a Psychic.

SAIKI KUSUO
PSYCHIC ABILITY: PSI
He has so many psychics abilities that we can't possibly list them a-

"SAIKI, LOOK!!" Aiura exclaimed, her manicured finger pointing to a large, skyscraper-sized woman who easily defeated the villain, unfortunately destroying a bit of the city in the process.

Wow, thanks for interrupting my comic book style introduction.

The woman and the authorities detained the man that attempted to terrorize the city. "Now can we leave and get to our classes?"

Toritsuka had a perverted smile on his face as he stared up at the large female hero, who introduced herself as Mt. Lady. "Just a little bit longer..." He mumbled as he attempted to check her out. Disgusting...

"Look at all these people watching me! All this fame for just one villain!" Oh, you're one of those heroes...

Mt. Lady's thoughts are really terrible, she doesn't even care about helping people and making them feel safe. All I hear in her thoughts is about her getting rich and famous, and it honestly disgusting. Not to mention, her quirk isn't even safe for cities, and probably not even hero work in general from how destructive it can be.

"Giantification... A very flashy quirk, but the damage to the city that goes with it will make its use very limited. I guess what matters is if she can control how large she is..." I heard a thought quickly pass by, almost incomprehensible from how quick it was. I heard these types of thoughts many times as I watched villain attacks with Aiura and Toritsuka, and the voice is always the same. Eh, whatever.

"I can't wait until the hero exams!" Aiura cheered, the three of us beginning our walk to our school, P.K. Junior High. Toritsuka quickly joined in on her excitement, chatting to her about hero exams next spring. As the two idiots talked, I was sandwiched in between them, sighing as I quietly listened to the conversation.

"Okay students, it's now your third year so it's time to fill in your goals for high school next year. I know most of you want to be heroes, but this is still important since not all students want to or can go through the hero route." The teacher said simply as she handed out papers, allowing us to write down where we wanted to go for high school and some extra goals for the future.

'Hiraoka Academy..." I wrote down, my handwriting fairly simple and legible. Hiraoka Academy was an average school. It was not a very popular school, but it was still good enough to get into a good college and job into the future.

From hearing the thoughts of my classmates, basically all of them chose U.A. High, but Aiura chose Shiketsu. I wonder why.

ᨏᨐᨓᨓᨐᨏ

"Shiketsu? Why Shiketsu?" Toritsuka asked her, since he was one of the students who chose U.A. "Well Shiketsu is still a very good school. Plus everyone is going to go to the U.A. exams, making it harder for me especially since I don't have physical powers!" The green haired girl explained, her logic making sense.

The three of us were on the rooftop after school, where we usually had meetings. Since the rooftop has no microphones, we could freely talk about our psychic abilities and it would just look like us having a normal conversation on the cameras.

Toritsuka had a face of realization as he heard Aiura's words, nodding at her. "Yeah you are right, I heard they make you fight robots in their exams. I could let a ghost possess me and fight for me, but I can't guarantee that.." Reita mumbled, looking down as he began to think.

TORITSUKA REITA
PSYCHIC ABILITY: MEDIUM
He has the ability to see and communicate with ghosts.

Aiura smiled and looked at me curiously. "Hey Saiki, what school did you choose?" "Hiraoka Academy." The two of them looked at me blankly as I said Hiraoka Academy. "Oh, that's... average." They said in unison, their tones were not very impressed.

"Saiki, you have all these cool powers though! Why don't you become a hero and use them?" The purple haired boy exclaimed with confusion, fiddling with his beaded jewelry as he looked at me. "I don't want all the attention."

Aiura ran her long nails through her hair, looking at me with confusion. "Yeah you get attention, but it's for a good reason! You're saving people, it's not like you're getting exposed as a psychic and getting experimented on!"

"Yeah, all the attention is gonna be because you're a hero to everyone! With all your abilities, you could drop the crime rates down crazy low!" Toritsuka continued from Aiura's statement, showing his agreement with her.

I sighed and looked at the two of them, giving a simple nod. "I guess you're right." I said monotonously, standing up and checking my phone as I walked to the door of the rooftop. This action confused them.

"Where are you going?" The two asked in unison, looking up at me from their sitting positions. "I'm going home, my mom will worry if I'm not home soon."

"Oh, we'll walk with you then!" The gyaru exclaimed happily. The both of them intertwined their arm with either of mine, walking down the stairs with me to exit the building. I was sandwiched between the two idiots once again.

We began our journey back to our homes, grabbing some snacks on the way there. I was suddenly pulled over towards a large crowd by the two others, both of them eagerly telling me that something was going on. They pushed the three of us to the front of the crowd, the sight surprising me.

A blonde boy was getting taken over by a villain, who was made out of a dirty sludge material. My blank face turned into one of slight disgust, looking around to see all of the heroes standing around, doing nothing.

Couldn't Backdraft put out at least majority the fire with his hydrokinesis to give the heroes an opening? Couldn't a long distance fighting hero swoop in and help? Why weren't they doing anything?

"Saiki, you have all these cool powers though! Why don't you become a hero and use them?" "Yeah you get attention, but it's for a good reason!" I reminisced on what the Aiura and Toritsuka said earlier, looking around at the crowd of others, all worrying for the blond boy.

"Aiura, use your little crystal ball, is someone gonna come and help?!" Toritsuka exclaimed, looking at Mikoto next to him. She fumbled when getting the crystal ball out of her bag, looking at Toritsuka anxiously. "Shut up, you're stressing me out!!"

AIURA MIKOTO
PSYCHIC ABILITY: Foresight
She has the ability to see into the future and tell people's fortunes. She also has another ability which makes her able to see one's aura, which will also reveal what ones quirk would be.

I watched silently as the heroes complained about not being able to get in close enough to save him because his quirk, which was an explosive one, kept setting off.

"Saiki, you have all these cool powers though! Why don't you become a hero and use them?"

... I began to raise my hand, intending to us my telekinesis to pull the boy out of the sludge, but suddenly a saw a blur of green flash past me. My eyes widened as I saw a boy, around the same age as me, rushing to save the victim.

I heard his thoughts, he was quirkless but still rushed into the situation without a second thought. I was completely still as I watched him ran towards the sludge villain.

The powerless boy threw his backpack at the sludge, temporarily blinding it and making it weaker, which allowed the blonde victim to breath. At that point, the boy ran out of ideas, trying his best to dig inside of the sludge and pull the other boy out, which wasn't helping much.

It wasn't long until the number one hero, All Might, finally came along, saving the boys effortlessly. His punch was so powerful that it sent miles of wind in all directions, making my pink hair flow freely and my green glasses to almost fly away.

My ears and brain were flooded with cheers and thanks towards All Might, the two other psychics next to me cheering as well. The rain poured onto my head, my body still completely frozen. I couldn't believe that I hesitated like that.

I can't believe that I, an all-powerful psychic, hesitated like that. Was I no better than all the other heroes that did nothing? Was I no better?

The heroes began to reprimand the quirkless boy, but praising the victim, which ultimately confused me. That boy is definitely hero material, quirkless or not, but he gets reprimanded?

I finally regained my ability to move after the shock I was in, looking over at Aiura and Toritsuka, who were chatting about how cool the villain attack was. "That little green haired boy was so cool, he swooped in and tried to help even when none of the heroes could!!" Mikoto exclaimed, clasping her hands together.

Yeah, he did swoop in and help when other couldn't. He's a real hero, even if he didn't complete the job. Who knows, maybe the blond boy would have suffocated if he didn't come in and temporarily weaken the villain?

As the three of us psychics began to walk to our respective homes, I stopped them, turning to face the two.

"Saiki, you have all these cool powers though! Why don't you become a hero and use them?" That quote was stuck in my mind, infecting it all over.

"Guys... I think I might try and be a hero."
