Chapter 13

Disclaimer: I don't own The Flash or any of its characters. I only own my OC's. :)

"Lexi, wake up," a voice says while shaking me, interrupting my sleep. I groan and open my eyes to see Lisa standing next to me.
"Mrs. McCulloch wants to speak with you," she explains. I grumble as I get out of bed, speeding out of the room and into Eva's office.
"You wanted to see me?" I ask her. She has a murderous look on her face. I swallow hard.
"You fought Vibe and Killer Frost today. You went against my orders and instead of luring them into the public, you did it in a forest." I completely forgot about having to do it in public.
"How did you know I did it in a forest?" I ask her.
"You are a new agent who has not proven herself trustworthy. Of course I sent someone to discreetly watch you," she explains. I internally hit myself, I should have known she would send someone to spy on me.
"I'm sorry," I tell her even though we both know I don't mean it.
"You will be punished of course," she calmly states," For three weeks you will wear power damping bracelets. You will be allowed to take them off for missions, but you will wear them during training sessions. All abilities classes will also be canceled." I start to protest but she cuts me off.
"I'm being lenient. You will not be so lucky next time," she says coldly. I swallow hard and nod. She opens her desk drawers and pulls out a pair of power damping bracelets just like the ones at S.T.A.R Labs. She locks them around my wrists before she allows me to leave.
I solemnly leave her office, trudging back to my barracks. It is about lunch time, but I can't be bothered to go to the dining hall. I'd rather just sleep. I walk into my barracks and head over to my bed, plopping down onto it. I take off my shoes and snuggle under the warm covers, slowly falling asleep.

I wake up just before the morning alarm goes off and get ready before heading over to the dining hall. The cool thing about getting there first means I don't have to wait in a line for my food. I eat my plate of food quietly while I wait for the others to get here. The door to the dining hall opens and I see Kyra, Dylan, Aaron and Jax all walk in together. They grab their trays of food before making their way over to me.
"Hey Lexi," Kyra greets me as she sits down next to me.
"Hey," I reply as Dylan, Aaron and Jax take seats opposite us. I take another bite of my food which causes Jax to look at me in confusion.
"Why are you wearing metahuman bracelets?" he asks me curiously. I sigh.
"Mrs. McCulloch is making me wear them as punishment for not doing my mission yesterday properly," I explain to them.
"Do you have to wear them during training?" Aaron asks. I nod. They all wince. We all know Max is going to use that to his advantage.
"For how long do you have to wear them?" Dylan asks.
"3 weeks." they all give me empathetic looks. We all know the next 3 weeks will probably be torture because of this.
"On brighter news, I think we finally found your serum," Kyra whispers so that only the people at our table can hear.
"Where is it?" I ask her, my eyes widening in cautious excitement. She looks around to make sure nobody is listening before answering me.
"It's in some sort of storage room/ lab we found in a basement level of the building," Dylan explains for Kyra. I suddenly realise Aaron is still sitting at our table.
"Does Aaron know?" I ask in a hushed tone.
"Don't worry, I know," Aaron answers.
"Sorry, we have to be careful with who we let in on the plan," I tell him apologetically. He shrugs.
"Don't worry, I understand," he says.
"So, how long until we can get the serum and leave?" I ask them. Dylan grins.
"About 2 weeks," he says excitedly. I look at my bracelets that are only due to come off in 3 weeks.
"Don't worry, I can disrupt electrical signals, remember?" Jax reassures me, seeing me look at the bracelets. I smile.
"Thanks."
The bell rings and we all put away our empty trays before walking to the training hall, Jax going to his separate training class for fully qualified agents. Sometimes I forget he is older than us. We open the door to see Amy standing there. We missed her during breakfast.
"Hey, where were you?" I ask her as I walk up to her.
"I'm so sorry," she apologises, "I slept through the morning alarm and had to miss breakfast to make it here in time," she explains. I give a short laugh.
"How on earth did you sleep through the morning alarm? It is like someone blowing a horn in your ear," I ask. She shrugs.
"I'm a heavy sleeper."
Tony walks into the room, blowing his whistle for us to all line up.
"OK class, as you all know, a few days ago you had your group exercise and today, I will tell you all what your positions on the field will be," he tells us. The whole class grins excitedly.
"But first, I'll explain the different categories. Category green agents are the lowest level of agents. They are sent to different black hole bases and train the students. The next level agents, category blue agents, stick mostly to small retrieval missions such as retrieving files from different corporations. Category white agents deal with finding the locations of small heroes to give to category red agents who use that information to eliminate those heroes. The last, and highest level agents are category black agents. They are used as spies on the field. They infiltrate heroes' bases and gather useful information for us before eliminating them. That is the most difficult level as level black agents must successfully act as double agents from weeks to, months, sometimes even years. Now, without further ado, your categories." He says, clearing his throat.
"Amanda and Johnathan, you will be category green agents," he tells them. Amanda looks slightly disappointed but Johnathan looks very excited.
"Tom, Ethan, you are category blue agents. Amy, you are a category white agent and Max, you are a category red." He then turns to Dylan, Aaron, Kyra and I.
"Dylan, Kyra, Aaron and Lexi, you are all going to be category black field agents."
We all look at each other in excitement. All of us are going to be in category black!

Tony dismisses class early for today, saying tomorrow we will be a sign of our first missions. We all head to the dining hall for an early lunch, sitting down at our usual table, when I remember something.
"Amy, you aren't in the same category as us! What are we going to do now?" I ask in a hushed tone. Everyone gets a look of sudden realisation on their face.
"I'm going to be placed as a white. I can stay here and pass information on to you guys," she explains.
"We can't leave you here," Kyra argues back. Amy gives a small smile.
"I'll be alright guys, I promise. Anyway, it's easier to escape when there is less people." I take a bite of my sandwich. She's right though, it would be a lot easier to escape with less people to worry about.
"Hey guys, I heard you got your categories picked today," Jax says as he sits down at our table next to me. We all grin.
"Yup," Dylan replies.
"Well, what are they?" he asks excitedly.
"Dylan, Kyra, Aaron and I are all category blacks," I tell him. He grows even more excited.
"That's amazing! I'm also a category black," he tells us. We all grin.
"wait, what about Amy?" he asks nervously.
"I'm a category white. I'm going to stay here instead of going with you and pass along information,"she explains. Jax nods.
"I'm sad you won't be coming with us but white is a really good category to be placed in," he tries to comfort her. She gives a small smile and nods.
"And there is a slight change of plans," Dylan whispers. We all look at him.
"You know how I said we can get. Lexi's medicine in two weeks?" he asks. I nod.
"yeah?" I reply cautiously.
"We have to change it to tonight. I found the precise location of the medicine and they are moving it tomorrow." we all look at him in shock. This moves forward our plans quite a lot.
"We are still only going to leave by our first real mission though," he reassures us. I nod slowly.
"This isn't too bad. Dylan. You, Jax and I should get the medicine tonight. We can hide it in my room till we leave," I explain to him.

Once we have finished our plan and everyone agrees, we head to our rooms to get a bit of rest before we leave. The plan is to wake up at eleven o'clock tonight, and meet outside of my barracks. Jax will temporarily stop my bracelets, he can only stop them for about 5 minutes without setting off alarms. I'll then speed us towards the location of the medicine. Jax, will take care of all the security cameras and lasers while Dylan and I retrieve the medicine from the lab. I will then speed us back to outside my barracks.

I stay dressed in my clothes and hop under the covers, preparing myself for tonight.

I will probably post two or three more chapters this week before taking a short hiatus to write ahead in the story a bit, that way I can post a new chapter every day. Feel free to like, comment and share. :)
