My Planets Began the End

I am not like most of my people, I have many  planets and some of those harbor life, even though I have not had them my entire existence, I can feel their presence and essence growing and changing inside my galaxy now.  Few of my people ever do evolve lifeforms inside them and, therefore, it is a blessing and a curse because not always does life continue to live and grow and prosper. It is only a matter of time till those of us who get planetary life evolved from nearly nothing, that all of our planet's species die out completely and our stars begin to fade. Most of the time this happens so much sooner for my special kind, because of this, I knew I was different from the time I learned my galaxy's planets formed and life evolved onto at least a few of those planets. Although I knew I would still be alive for a very, very, long time I also learned my life would be shorter than some of the other galaxies I had come to know by that time.  Some of my life force has already been drained because not all of my planets were able to sustain life for very long.

I, as well as many of the beings out here, each have one thing we need to keep safe and keep alive, the galaxy in which our life force comes from. We are each born once our first few stars begin to come together and form our reason for living. The greater our star count becomes the bigger we get, though my kind comes in many different shapes and sizes of beings. Not all of us even look like me or my family. There are different species of galaxies, and I happen to take on a rare "human-like" appearance. This is most likely due to the life-force  that runs in my veins and my galaxy in general, or so I have been told by many wiser and older Galaxies.

Some of us look more like animals, others are small and only have a few stars and or planets,  while even others of us are grander in size and have many stars and might I say the possibility of planets or other celestial beings. Whatever characteristics our galaxy gives us, we usually keep a youthful appearance, even until the end.  But we all know that one day, no matter what we are made of, the things that we are supposed to protect and keep alive for as long as we can and will inevitably eventually begin to fail and die. there are other threats that we, the galaxies, have to worry about. For many of us we are assigned our very own personal version of Darkness... A dark being we have to fight off in order to live.

For some, a black hole consumes them all at once, for they might lack size. For others, like me, and other beings larger than me, we get consumed by Darkness slowly, because we have many, many stars, constellations, and maybe even planets or lifeforms that die out before we die completely. We are able to hold on to the last bit of our life until the very last visit from Darkness arrives.
