-Sixth chapter-

She wanted to sit in the back. Keva also wanted to sit in the back. Something drew both of them to the back seats. Karen and Keva had to fight it out. Lucas wants one of them to sit in the front with him. Jax was one of their former friends. One friend that they both could have at the same time and not end up ripping each other's throats out. Karen was the youngest. So of course she got what she had wanted. She sat in the back, smiling victoriously. The moment ended all too soon though. There was a brightness, what seemed to be a spotlight piercing the passenger window. And then something slammed into them. The sound that came from it was like iron jaws crushing the car, munching it and crunching it. Everything was spinning. They were tumbling in the air, then bumping, followed by more tumbling.

Moments later...

Karen's eyes fluttered open. She grimaced as she tried to move, a pain stroke through her whole body. She used her elbows to hit the seatbelt off around her and managed to shimmy through the shattered window. The cops arrived later. And she was the only one alive. But she thought she had seen Jax's eyes open to look at Keva longingly before mouthing something.

"AHHH!!!!!" Lucas' voice screamed out.

Lucas fought. Of course he did, it cost him his life. The shadow. It came back. To save Karen. Krev and Kerri somehow got this feeling of where Karen was. All thanks to the shadow. The shadow can't reveal itself now. Karen was saved, Lucas was dead. It remained a mystery to Karen how these people all died without anyone around. Karen's wish has yet to be granted. She wanted to explore. And she will. But not now, not with all these drama.

When the shadow reveals itself, will Karen trust it? Should she trust it? Or has it been her guardian all along? Maybe Karen shouldn't have wished for one too many things. Maybe she shouldn't have been selfish. But it's too late now...
