-Third chapter-

Birds chirping, sun shining brightly. Krev opened his eyes slowly. Cringing as the sunlight reached his eyes. He groaned and shook Karen's weight off of him. And by accident, Karen fell onto the floor with a 'Thump!'. Karen groaned, rubbing the back of her head. Krev turned back, looking at her, wide-eyed.

"Oh my god. I'm so sorry Karen!"

Karen threw a glare his way and stood up, stretching in the process. She stayed there. Just standing there. Krev looked at her.

"Why are you just-"

He was cut off by Karen plopping on top off him. She tackled him as he tried to push her away. Their obstreperous sounds woke Kerri up. Kerri stared at them. They stopped and stared at her. Uh oh, waking Kerri up has serious consequences. Krev and Karen thought. They looked at each other, and ran downstairs. Kerri chased them while shouting violently.

"COME BACK HERE. I'M GOING TO SMURFING KILL YOU BOTH!"

Kerri rushed after them. Then noticed Karen's father there. He stared at them. Then gave Karen a short glare.

"Kids, play somewhere else. This isn't a playground!"

We just nodded, then decided to head to StarBucks. Karen's mother was currently at work, so they had the whole day to themselves. School is tomorrow. So they couldn't hang out at either homes that night. They reached StarBucks. They all had one thing in common at StarBucks. They always ordered the same thing.

"Java chips, Medium, please!"

They said it all at the same time. Again. While on their way home, the shadow is dealing with Karen's father. Her father struggled. He couldn't solve it. Why was he up in the air, being strangled, when there was no one there? Maybe he's gone crazy. Maybe he's not. And by the time Karen, Kerri and Krev reached, he was already at his last breath.

"Karen, I've *gasp* never liked you. *gasp* you, were, a burden to me."

Karen's father got his last words out as his eyes rolled to the back of his head, his body turned limp, and his skin turned pale. Krev and Kerri comforted Karen. And as they call the police, the shadow knew he was 1 step closer to achieving his mission. Krev and Kerri brought Karen up to her room, and comforted her, soothed her, stayed with her till it was time to leave. Their friendship is unique. They're inseparable, no secrets among them.

But will future secrets, ruin everything? Will the shadow, destroy everything or is it trying to protect Karen and her friends?
