Y/N slowly began to regain consciousness and heard who he believed to be Asta talking to someone. It was then that he noticed that he was trapped in a ball of slime. That's when he remembered, 'Right, I was knocked out and taken captive by the guys who invaded the capital. I think they called themselves the Eye of the Midnight Sun? What a strange name. Wonder who came up with it.' He then felt someone poke the ball he was encased in. He saw the man that Asta had been fighting, "Hey, Sally, his ones awake too. Let me kill him." Sally frowned, "No way. They're both important test subjects for me to dissect. I mean, did you see his Sword Magic? The swords could do all sorts of crazy stuff. And I bet the master will love that." One more man spoke up, "We're not supposed to bring prisoners with us to the base." Sally said, "Boo. I'll just ask him nicely to let me keep them." The group walked into a cave when they stopped. Y/N immediately understood why. In front of them stood Julius Novachrono, the Wizard King. Julius smiled and waved, "Hey, I've been waiting for you. Have a good time in the capital?" Two of the enemy wizards attempted to attack him, only to be instantly defeated. Julius frowned at this and moved at lightning speed to trap the other members and free Y/N and Asta.

The two boys were amazed at the king's strength. Julius smiled at the trapped members and turned to ask, "I have a couple of questions I want to ask you. What are your goals? Who is your leader? And what is that strange slab?" Y/N turned to see what he was talking about a saw a mysterious slab with gems in it. Once he saw it, his head was instantly filled with strange images of a fiery area and several people that he didn't know. However, after a few seconds, the images vanished from his mind, leaving not even a memory. Y/N shook his head and noticed Julius and Asta looking at him. Y/N asked, "Wha... what happened?" Julius said, "It seems that you were in some sort of trance when you looked at the slab." Asta nodded, "Yeah, you didn't even move when the bad guys escaped with the slab." Y/N looked around and finally noticed that the members of the Eyes of the Midnight Sun had escaped from Julius' time magic and the slab was gone. Julius smiled at him, "Well, it can't be helped. Today was quite a strange day. Now, let's go back."

Within a few minutes, Julius had brough Asta, Y/N, and himself back to the capital to reunite with the rest of the Magic Knights. The captains and Julius began exchanging information about the attack on the capital. It seemed that Captain Fuegoleon was still in a coma but was out of danger for now. There were not many casualties, but many people were shaken by the attack. It seemed that one of the spatial mages that was supposed keep the capital safe had gone missing, allowing for the enemies to invade the city and launch their attack. Captain Charlotte apologized to Julius for them being too weak to protect the city in his absence. Julius shook it off and Nozel stormed off in anger. Leopold also came down from the hospital and proclaimed that he would be the Wizard King and claimed Asta as his rival. Asta smiled at the fellow mage but replied that he had no idea who he was. Y/N let out a sigh and recalled the strange feeling that he felt when he saw the slab. Even though he tried so hard, he couldn't remember what images passed through his mind back then. It was just watching the images passing by without being able to recognize what he was seeing. He felt that he had felt like that before. It was only later that he realized that it was the same feeling from when he had those strange dreams.
