"May balak pa pala kayong magpakita dito"
Kiana sarcastically said

We just arrived at my Mom's restaurant and guess what? Kunot na noo ni Kiana agad ang sumalubong sa amin

"Oh c'mon Kiana, alam mo na may balak talaga ako, tanong mo dito"
Hade said sabay turo sa akin

"What? Me? Yes, of course sisipot ako I'm just busy kaya late ko nabasa yung text mo"

"Thanks to me, I reminded you and I waited you and I repaired your car"
Hade teasingly said

"Uhuh, yeah thank you-- A big big big thank you Mr. Hade Patterson"
I sarcastically replied at hilaw na ngumiti sa kaniya

"My honor madam"

I just rolled my eyes, Hade will always be Hade

"So Kiana, why did you call us?"
I asked kase hanggang ngayon hindi ko parin alam ang rason ba't bigla-bigla itong nang aya mag lunch

"Well, nothing so special I just miss you guys-- I mean I will miss you guys"

Napatingin kami sa isa't isa ni Hade with the same question in our eyes

"Why?"

"Why?"
Sabay naming saad ni Hade

Napatingin ako sa kaniya at ganon din siya sa akin at sabay na binalik ang tingin kay Kiana na halos sumabog na sa sobrang pula dahil sa kakapigil ng tawa

"Kiana I only have a short available time so stop messing around"
I said

"Ok ok calm down hm-- ok hm-- sor-ry I-i hm- ok hehe"
Uutal-utal na saad nito habang pilit na pinipigilang tumawa

"Kiana"

"Kiana"
Sabay na bigkas namin ni Hade sa pangalan niya

"Wait *enhales* *exhales* ok, I'm ok now"

"Good, now tell us why are you gonna miss us? You are leaving?"
Hade asked

"Um- yes? Oh, I mean no"

"Kiana!"
Sabay ulit na banggit namin ni Hade sa pangalan niya

"Okay okay calm down, what I mean is I'm leaving--for a short time so basically I'm not gonna leave--totally leave you guys"

"So, is this a farewell?"
I asked

"Farewell to you my friend~~"
Hade annoyingly sang

"Ouch! Why you're hitting me?"

"Stop, ampanget ng boses mo"

"Ouch"
He said while his hands are on his chest with matching inarte

Tss

"So, saan ka pupunta kian?"
I'll guess na aalis na naman to for work or family gatherings

"NYC, we have to shoot nanaman *roll eyes* ngayon nga lang ako naka uwi dito sa pinas tas wala pang week aalis na naman *exhales*"

See, I'm right

"A life of a model haaayss... kian, If I were in your part I would be so happy, imagine you're working and at the same time you're travelling around the world"
Said by the great philosopher Hade habang umiiling-iling pa

"Hade, AS IF naman ma eenjoy mo ang travel mo no duh"

*looks to kiana*

"Ma eenjoy mo talaga, AS IF naman sobrang bigat ng trabaho mo 'dun eh mag
p-posing ka lang naman"

*looks to hade*

"Ay waw, nakakapagod kaya hade duh you'll never know unless you walk on my shoe hade"

Tss, kahit kailan aso't pusa parin 'tong dalawang to

"Okay okay, I raise the white flag"

*looks at hade*

"Kanina parang ayaw kong umalis, ngayon gustong-gusto ko na para 'di lang makita ang nakaka-irita 'mong mukha"

*looks at kiana*

"What? I've raised the white flag already, hindi ka parin tapos ts--."

Naputol ang sasabihin ni hade ng biglang may nag salita

"Here's the order of table 25"

Napabaling ang tingin namin lahat sa waiter na nagsalita

Thanks for this waiter at natapos ang ingay ng dalawang to

"Thank you kurt"
I said to the waiter, his name's kurt one of the best employee here in my mom's restau

"Enjoy your meal ma'am Ash, bon appetite"

"Wait, kurt is mom here?"

"She left for a meeting ma'am"

"Oh, okay thank you"

He smiled and left

"Hoy, hade hindi pa tayo tapo--"

"hep hep hep hep kian gutom na ako at may pagkain na sa harap ampanget naman na mag aaway parin kayo ano?"

Kahit kailan di talaga magpapatalo 'tong si kiana tsk tsk tsk tsk

"Oh? Ano? Magtitinginan lang tayo dito? Akala ko kakain na?"

"Yes madam!"

And YES! Sa wakas nakakain na din ako ng walang bangayan at ingay

" So kian, what's your plan? Ilang araw ka 'don?"

"I don't know, maybe less than a month"

"Ooh, not so long huh? "
Sambit ni Hade

"Yes ofcourse, do you expect me to be there stuck for months? Oh no no nakaka umay din no"

Ok here we are again

"Well mas mabuti siguro na mas tagal-tagalan mo pa ang--"

"Sh sh sh sh stooooop. Just stop both of you. Stop."
Putol ko sa sasabihin ni hade. Tss inunahan ko na dahil alam ko kung saan naman to hahantong

"It's ok kian, di naman masyadong matagal ang stay mo doon, after your shoot you still have months to stay here before you go to your dad"
I know na nag s-struggle siya kase she wants to stay here sa pinas bago siya umalis at sumunod sa dad niya

"Haaaaysss *deep breath* kaya nga sinusulit ko nalang ang time ko ngayon kase I know may mga sched talaga ako na di pwede i-cancel"

"Nah, it's ok. Pagnakauwi kana dito tapos ng shoot mo let's go to beach and mag relax para ma sulit talaga ni kian ang stay niya dito bago siya umalis"

Napatingin kami sa isa't isa ni kian and sabay na hindi makapaniwala na tumingin kay hade

"Well, well, well, look who'sa talking huh? So it's your idea edi libre mo? Right ash? Idea niya, libre niya" *chuckles*

"So hade, mark the date. You drop the bomb so.."

"What? Ang unfair niyo naman oh, idea ko na nga libre ko pa. Pangit niyong ka bonding"

"Kuripot mo talaga"
"Kuripot mo talaga"

Sabay na saad namin ni kiana and we look to each other and laugh

FAST FORWARD

"Opps, time for me to go"
I said kase i'm getting late for my rounds

"Me too"
Hade said

" And me too"
Kiana said

"So I think we should all go na right?"

"Bye Ash, Bye Kian"

"Hey, sabay ako hade. you're going to the hospital right?"

"Nope, may pupuntahan pa ako mauna kana ash"

"Oooh parang may hindi sinasabi si hade sa'tin ash ah"

"May bibilhin ako at wala akong girlfriend. I gotta go bye"

"Uhuh?"
Saad ko na may ngisi sa mga labi

"Oh c'mon you people, wala talaga! BYE!!"

Gigil na gigil si pare niyo ah

"bye byeee"
"bye hade"

"So ash I gotta go too, you know I have a bunch of thingefs to prepare"

"Yeah, sabay na tayo papuntang parking?"

"Oh sige"

Kian and I walked together papuntang parking lot and bid our goodbye's at dumeretso na ako sa hospital

Kakadating ko lang dito sa hospital and I'm now walking at the hallway when somebody paged me

"Kakadating ko pa nga lang eh trabaho na naman agad"

"Doc! Dr. Diaz!"

I turned my back when someone called me and it's Thyne she's a nurse

"Yes?"

"The department of cardiothoracic surgery is having a meeting---  bigla-biglang meeting at kanina ka pa po nila hinihintay"

"The meeting has started?"

"Hindi pa po, hinihintay pa po na ma kompleto kayong lahat"

"Okay"
I replied to the nurse and was heading to.. Oh? Where was I heading?

"Thyne, which room?"

"Dr. Eriquez's office po"

"okay, thank you"

Nagmamadali naman akong naglalakad papuntang office ni Dr. Enriquez

Why is he throwing a sudden meeting?
This question keeps bothering me kaya mas binilisan ko ang paglalakad sa office niya and now I'm in front of the door of his office

"Dr. Diaz is here"
Miranda said habang papasok ako, she's a 3rd year cardiothoracic fellow here, same as me

"So everybody's present? Wala na tayong hinihintay?"

"Yes"
Sabay-sabay naming saad

"Then, let's start the meeting"
Dr. Enriquez said, the head of the Cardiothoracic Department

"Dadating  ka pala?"

"O, Hade, andito kana? Akala ko may pinuntahan ka?"

"Yes, kanina pa ako dito. I canceled my sched, bigla nalang kasi nagpatawag ng meeting"

I just nodded and listened in front

"I know all of you are wondering why I suddenly called a meeting. The chief and the president called all the department heads for a meeting and now I am discussing you what we've talked about"

Napuno ng mga bulungan ang office pagkatapos sabihin ito ni Doc Enriquez

"And ready yourselves, it's a big news"

Mas lumakas pa ang mga bulungan dito sa loob

"I'm sorry to say but I am now no longer the head of the cardiothoracic Department"

Lahat ay nagulat sa sinabi niya. Even me, I was very shock

"Why doc? Why so sudden?"
someone asked

"Yes, I know this is very sudden for all of you, but we talked about this for a long time"

"Are you retiring doc?"
Miranda asked

"No, I'm not retiring. The reason why I am no longer the head of this department is because I am now the Chief"

Wait, what did he say?

"Chief? As in Chief of surgery?"

"Yes miranda"

"Wow, congrats doc"
Miranda said

We all then congratulated Dr. Enriquez

"Congrats dr. Enriquez"
"Congratulations doc"
"Wow doc, congrats"

"Thank you ladies and gentlemen. I still have something to tell so settle first"

Lahat naman kami ay umayos ng upo. Hmm.... what is this about?

"Since I'm going to be the chief, Dr. Loui Montegomery the former chief will be now the president of this hospital and his father Dr. Alex Montegomery will be the chairman of the Montegomery Group of Companies which is their company"

What a very big news

"So that means that Dr. Alex will retire?"

"Yes, he will retire and we are all invited for his retirement party and dr. Loui's promotion. Also, ang papalit sa akin ay bukas niyo na makikilala"

"I think we've covered everthying on the list, so that's all for today."
