Part 2 chapter 10

“hey where are- what happened?” I sniffed, wiping my face with the back of my sleeve as Peter hopped over the bar, careful of his feet by the glass.

“I knew it was a bad idea bringing them here,” I cursed angrily, Peter catching my hands in his to stop my frustrated glass picking.

“where’s the party?” another voice called, and I ducked my head, shit. I threw whatever glass I had gathered in my hands into the bin before standing to face a smiling Tony.

“Tony I’m so sorry, things got out of hand and one of the bottles got broken” his face immediately turned to concern as he pottered over.

“Easy kid, it’s not a big deal, accident happen. Are you crying?”

“no” I denied, catching Peter snorting quietly. “I’m just…really sorry” I summarised, shoulders dropping with a sigh as I leant against the bar.

“It’s not a problem Alex, I’m serious. Come up and join us for some dinner when you’re ready okay?” he headed back upstairs, and Peter began sweeping the remaining glass up with the dustpan and brush.

“you don’t have to do that”

“I know” he shot me a smile as I bent down with kitchen roll to clean up the expensive liquid. “I take it they weren’t here long?”

“no. as much as I love them, sometimes they’re just full-on dickheads.” He let out a low whistle.

“wow, pretty bad then, what happened with the bottle?” we threw the rubbish in the bin, and I began to explain as he washed his hands.

“Well, we came back here, sat outside for a bit. And then Zain being Zain, decided to touch something he knew he couldn’t afford and dropped it. And laughed about it. I’m just lucky Tony isn’t pissed because if he was, boy I dread to think of what he would’ve done” Pete hummed, switching so I could get the sticky shit off of my skin.

“And then they just left?”

“I kicked them out.”

“oh?” he rose an eyebrow “wish I was here to see that” I chuckled, flicking him lightly.

“how was decorating?” he sighed, throwing the tea towel on the side.

“I moved the furniture about twenty times, but I think she’s finally happy with how it looks. She’ll probably ring up and ask for me to move it again.” We shared a laugh, moving to the lift. “you look beautiful by the way” he commented, and I blushed, smoothing over the fabric of my dress.

“thanks. I was feeling it a lot more earlier” I brushed some hair out his face, watching as he kissed my palm lovingly. “Do you want to skip dinner and have a movie night? Maybe a bath?” he groaned softly, brining me into his arms.

“If I ever answer that question with a no, shoot me” I chuckled, planting a kiss on his neck.

“I would never” his hands ran down my back as the lift continued to rise.
