Chapter 14

Peter recovered within the next few days, with a little help from Bruce's medicine cabinet (which he gave us, don't worry) and he went back to school whilst I tried to figure out a way to keep myself busy.

Work was slow at the minute and there wasn't much I could do whilst Tony and the gang were out on missions or away on training.

Which leads us to now, at 2am in my flat, sat in the dim light of my living room.

My feet hung off the top of my sofa as my hair reached towards the floor, blood rushing to my head.

I couldn't help the long sigh that escaped me, reaching for my phone, and dialling Peter's number.

"Hey there pretty girl, bored already?"

I could hear him smiling through the phone, the faint sound of air making his voice sound distant.

"I hope you're not talking and swinging"

"of course not," he let out a huff, his voice clearer now "want me to swing by? I'll bring your favourite"

I bit my lip as a grin spread across my face.

"You're far too good to me"

"I know, I'm the best boyfriend, you can say it" laughter tumbled from my lips, heart soaring at my thoughtful lover.

"I certainly won't deny it, get your sweet butt over here"

"Roger that, love you"

"Love you too, swing safe"

"You were supposed to be the chosen one!"

I watched Peter mouth along to the TV, eyes fixed on the screen as he lay on my stomach, body nestled between my legs as we watched Revenge of the Sith.

I couldn't keep track of how many times we had watched these movies, don't tell Peter, but they were growing on me slowly.

We watched Anakin's downfall and soon enough the credits rolled, leaving the two of us watching the dark screen.

"It's such a good film"

I couldn't help but hum in agreement, his soft hair pulling slightly as he looked up at me with his big brown eyes.

"You actually like it?" I chuckled, returning his gaze with amused eyes.

"I never claimed that I didn't, they're great, just not my favourites"

"So, Halloween..?" he proposed hopefully.

"If you're suggesting that one princess Leia outfit, then definitely not" his smile widened, hands riding under the sides of my shirt whilst biting his lip.

"I would never" he replied playfully, "unless you wanted to"

He rose his eyebrows suggestively and I was quick to flick him.

"In your dreams Parker"

"Oh definitely" he pulled me down by my hips and my hand settled on his triceps as we gazed at each other.

"you're hearts beating so loud" he murmured, mostly to himself and I couldn't help but blush.

"I wonder why, loverboy" he caved then, pressing his lips to mine with such passion that I almost melted.

I pulled him closer, his chest pressing against mine as he supported his body above me, lifting my head so he could slide his hand into my hair.

His lips were still salty from the popcorn, and I loved it. One of my hands cupped his face, guiding his movements lazily and I felt him tug the ends of my hair slightly, breaking the contact but his attention moved to my neck, exposed skin being littered with kisses, and a light bite making my breath hitch. I couldn't help but arch against him which made him grin against my neck.

"Shut up" I gasped, reconnecting our lips whilst running my hands over his chest, his muscles flexing under my fingertips as I grazed my nails over his skin.

We continued like this until the sound of material ripping broke through the room, both of us breaking apart to look at Peter's hand, which he moved away slowly to reveal part of my sofa which had been torn apart.

"Well," I laughed at his guilty face, running my hands down his sides comfortingly as we caught our breath.

"I'm so sorry"

"Literally don't worry about it, it's partially my fault anyway" I kissed his jaw lovingly "I can fix it"

"Are you sure? -"

"Peter, honey, I'm positive. It's just a small tear, but maybe next time we should move to the bedroom" it was his turn to blush, and he ducked his head, keeping his eyes anywhere but mine as he sat up and I didn't push his embarrassment, but made sure to reassure him it was completely fine, just an accident.

Nothing more.

"Here, why don't we go out? Cool down a bit?" this seemed to spark an idea in him, and he was quick to agree, heading into my room to get changed as I ran my fingers over the tear with a smug smile gracing my features.

Sometimes I found myself forgetting that Peter had enhanced senses, especially when we were getting more...intimate. But it was a side of him I loved to see, to know that I could have that effect on him was almost empowering and I knew as time progressed he might accept this part of himself willingly, but as of now, he was cautious about his strength.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want anything more than for him to let himself go a bit, seeing him so tense and calculating wasn't easy.

"I'm ready" he appeared in the doorway adorned in his Spider ensemble and I was taken aback.

"I didn't realise we were going swinging" I mirrored his grin, quickly rising and throwing on the hoodie he had left on one of the stools. "Where were you thinking?"

"Somewhere fun, come on Padmé" he ushered me out of the window and webbed it behind us before crouching down so I could climb onto his back, looping my legs around his waist as he scaled the opposing wall.

The way the stars twinkled set my soul ablaze and I found myself staring up at the night sky whilst we travelled, Peter showing me a few places he had been recently, including a shop where he often bought his sandwiches after school.

I leant my head on his shoulder, the speed we were swinging made my hair fly wildly around us, doing my best to brush it away from his eyes.

"Here, put this on" he passed me his mask as he began to climb up a skyscraper, leaving me to tentatively pull the high-tech fabric over my face.

"Hello Alex, I am Karen" a feminine voice greeted pleasantly as blue words and outlines whizzed across my vision.

"Hello, its lovely to finally meet you"

"I assume we are in the process of project PG"

"She doesn't need to know about that one yet!" Peter called to the AI as my curiosity grew. "we're going to project Date night v 24"

"you're keeping track?" I questioned, amused, and slightly flattered.

"Got to put something in the wedding videos" I gave a soft look under the mask, unable to take my eyes off the side of his face as he focused on keeping us stuck to the wall, his tongue peeking out the side of his mouth.

Soon enough we reached the top and I was glad to discover the roof was pretty flat, not daring to look over the edge at the tiny cars.

"So, web-boy, what have you got planned?" he grinned, holding my waist, and pulling me closer so we could sway together.

"Karen, activate project Sulphur Tantalum Rearden"

The world around me began to go transparent and tiny bright dots were illuminated everywhere I looked, the dots staying in place as I moved my head around.

"Wait, are these- "

"constellations" Peter finished for me, watching me fondly as my gaze shifted everywhere I could find, "accurate to right now"

"Oh! I can see Orion's belt!" I exclaimed excitedly, pointing at Peter's shoulder "and the little saucepan!"

He laughed at my glee, keeping his arms around me whilst following my endless pointing and exclamative.

"I knew you'd like it"

"I can't believe you made this, it's so wicked" I could see the Andromeda constellation through his chest and couldn't help but stare at it longingly, it was my favourite out of all of them and I just found it so beautiful.

"Did you have this planned the whole time?" he gazed down at me, shrugging.

"I've just been waiting for the right moment, plus I had to finish some of the coding so, its no big deal" the smile on my face couldn't get any wider and I threw my arms over his shoulders with an embarrassing squeal, jumping slightly.

"Peter! You are unbelievable" we stayed up there for a while and Peter got to enjoy me geeking out to him for a while, hovering near me because the roof was small, and my balance was known to be kind of shit.

I looked at my phone which was in selfie mode and watched as the suits masks eyes narrowed to mirror my own, widening again before repeating, seeing Peter's head pop into view with peace fingers and snapping a photo with a chuckle.

"You better take this thing back; I can feel my eyes starting to go funny" I pulled the bottom of the mask up, Peter catching my lips in his just as it reached my nose, our teeth clashing as I laughed.

"You know I can't wait for us to live together, to start our lives properly once I finish high school" he told me whilst we sat in the A of the Avengers tower, our legs swinging off the side.

"Same. it always sounds so weird when you say that high school" I snorted, "makes me sound like a cougar or something" he made a disgusted face.

"Never say that again"

"Sure, thing cutie pie" he cringed with a groan, laying back.

"You're not even that much older than me"

"Six months" I stated proudly "you're going to dating an official adult soon" he rolled his eyes at my teasing.

"You do realise it's 21 here"

"Not in the UK, not in my heart" I patted my chest, the chill of the air brushing over my bare legs as the sound of Manhattan billowed beneath.

"Miss us that much already?" Clint's voice sounded from the ceiling, he wasn't anywhere in sight, so I opted for glaring upwards.

"Nothing better to do than spy on us?" Peter fired back, sitting up with his eyes fixed on a space above where I assumed he had found the vent.

"Hey, I claimed this space, you two need to find your own spot"

"Well, I guess he's right" I replied nonchalantly, looking towards the ground before meeting peter's gaze with a smirk, "catch you later"

His eyes widened as I shimmied off the edge, freefalling towards the ground as he rushed to jump after me, hollering my name.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't terrified, but it gave the same rush of adrenalin as a rollercoaster, and I could see why Peter loved swinging around.

The thrill was short lived, and Peter's arms quickly wrapped around me before slinging his web to a nearby building.

"you're insane" he cried, looking down at my grinning face briefly as we travelled, arm tight around my waist.

"Yolo!" I yelled "it's called a leap of faith Parker; I have faith in you to catch me"

"Next time give me a heads up"

"Whatever you say, bug" he couldn't hide the smile that grew on his face, shaking his head as I yelled happily through the night, almost losing a sock in the process.
