When Abeke awoke the next day she left her room and went to the hall and to be surprised to only see Lenori there

"Lenori?" Abeke said tilting her head "what's going on where are the others?" She asks

"Tarik has gotten sick Abeke..." Lenori warned "very sick" she said looking at Abeke with a grim look

"What???What happened?" Abeke asked in confusion, a little bit of panic and confusion on her face

"Come, I'll tell you on the way to his room" Lenori said signalling Abeke to follow her as she turned to walk down the hall, Abeke hastily followed

On their way to Tarik's room Lenori explained that on the trip to claim the golden lion, Tarik had been poisoned by Gerathon and had almost lost his life, while trying to buy time for Rollan to escape, General Gar had stuck Tarik in the arm making him bleed most of Gerathon's venom out, but not all of it.

"That's awful..." Abeke frowned nervously "so he wasn't completely saved by the poison, it just took longer to activate again...how do we fix it?" Abeke asked desperately

"Lucky enough for Tarik there was only a little bit left but still enough to poison him, if there was anymore of Gerathon's venom in his body Tarik would have died yesterday but he didn't so that means that we still have a few days to find the cure for it" Lenori explained.

"How many days do we have left" Abeke asked entering the room, Tarik was fast asleep on his bed Lumeo curled up next to him but Lumeo wasn't asleep he stared at Tarik worryingly, Lumeo knew something was wrong with Tarik.

"At least 5 days" Lenori answered

"Do we know where to find the cure?" Abeke asked hopefully

"Yes we do it's rare, that's why so many have fallen to Gerathon deadly poison because it is almost impossible to grow naturally, let alone track down...but we should be able to find some on this island, if not in Oceanas, but it's far away and we would never make it back in time" Lenori said shaking her head

"I'll go look for some later on then" Abeke said sitting down in a chair next to Tarik's bed. She reached over to Pet Lumeo, which the otter didn't really react to his posture fixated on Tarik.

"Yes I've already sent out Connor and Rollan, when you are ready tell me and I will send you out to join them" Lenori told her then left the room.

"Thank you Lenori" Abeke called and turn to Tarik who was sleeping so peacefully "I'll try everything I can to help" Abeke whispers, Lumeo jumps over Tarik and looks up at her, Abeke moves her hand from his back to his head."we'll find a way to help him promise, you take care of him for now ok Lumeo?"she asks with a smile, moving to scratch under the otters chin. Lumeo makes an otter like noise in reaction, almost like a purr and curls back up next to Tarik this time falling asleep

"We'er going to fix this" Abeke said "everything will be ok" she said hoping her words were true. Everything has to be ok...Abeke just couldn't bear losing Tarik when there was something she could have done to help, they'll find the cure, they would have to do it in less then 5 days, she knew it will be hard to find the cure but Tarik needed it and Abeke would do everything in her power to find some. She promised.
