Mk was in his apartment with a piping bag in his hands some frosting on his nose flour everywhere on all the counters but finally after hours of baking he'd made the perfect strawberry shortcake and decorated it perfectly the strawberry's were lined up perfectly and everything was just a work of art maybe he spent a bit to much time one it but he wanted this to be special

"Haha it looks so delicious I think I put did myself this time and how said I couldn't bake wait mk focus now we have to make the present or buy one even tho I'm completely broke it's fine I got this plus Porty said he'd help me out"

Just then Porty crashed through the window

"hey OG I got that thing you wanted but umm why do we need this again we're not the type for how do I put this fancy shit"

Mk was super excited fantasizing about the interaction of people could hear him they'd call him delusional it was just a birthday present after all and the cake was a bit extra but it was what mk thought would work plus he cant stay inside brooding all the time especially on his birthday mk ran down stairs with the presents in hand with the cake of course but before he could leave pigsy stopped him

"Hey kid where are you heading off to ya don't got training today"

"Oh no I'm going to see re- a friend I'm going to see my friend it's there birthday but they're sick and couldn't celebrate I wanted to surprise them!"

"That is so you mk well I don't wann keep ya get going"

Pigsy stared at tang before get back to cooking and they both started laughing they were proud of mk he was working so hard for one silly demon it was sweet mk continued on his walk towards the demon bull fortress but then he bumped into Mei

"Oh nothing much just walking around town"

Mei grabbed mks hand and lifted him onto her bike mk was so confused on what just happened

Mei drove extremely fast mk had to told on really tight and they arrived at the fortress mk was closer to his goal but he was starting to get nervous he got of the bike and walked towards the door

"Oh Mei thanks for driving me here"

"No prob just wish him a happy birthday for me cya"

Mei drove off leaving mk standing in front of the door with the present inbb by one hand and cake in the other he checked on the cake to make sure it didn't get ruined but it was alright no problems he took a deep breath before knocking on the door and he felt heat coming from behind it as soon as he knocked and redson opened the door he was in his pjs his hair was a mess he looked tired and was rubbing his eyes
"Hello? Who is it my mother and father are away if you have business to attend to please wait for them to return"

"It's me mk!"

he finally opened them he saw mk staring at him and slammed the door in his face

"Go away!"

"Wait redson I'm here on business"

Redson opened the door once again and piped his head out but he looked more presentable and his hair was brushed not messy like he just woke up but not in his usual ponytail he was glaring at mk

"Did you really just do your hair?"

"W-what no! What is it that you want noodle boy I'm a very busy demon and like I said my parents aren't here"

"I'm actually here to see you"

"Why?! Why would you ever what to see me especially today what's so important you had to bother me"
Mk pulled out the cake with a smile on his face

"Well..happy birthday redson!"

Redson looked so confused and was just staring at mk as he held out the cake with his name on it
"Wait is it not your birthday?"

"No it, it is but I never told you my birthday who told you this"

"Well um macaque told me he said he was there when you were born sense he used to be friends with your parents"

"Oh well you should be on your way now"

"Well you didn't come here for anything important so you should just go"

The tips of redsons hair started to flame

"Fine you can come in sense this is so important to you plus I'm hungry and that cake looks delicious just let me get dressed first"

Redson got dressed but he had his usual clothes on except for the red jacket just a black sleeveless turtleneck with purple pants he opened the door for mk and mk followed him but then they pasted the dinning room and mk was confused if they we're gonna eat shouldn't they sit at a table

"Hey um redson where are we going"

"To my bedroom"

"Wha-why?"

"The dinning hall is far to big for the two of us so that's a much calmer space plus the bull clones could see you and they'd call my parents I don't want to bother them with this"

"That actually makes sense wait actually where are your parents"

"Oh there on a business trip somewhere in the underworld anyway this is my bedroom"

Mk was confused why weren't dbk and princess iron fan celebrating his birthday shouldn't they all be together probably having a grand glamorous party for him like in those movies where the rich princes meet there princess and the princes birthday but redson was all alone in a giant house with just so robots they weren't even celebrating either

"Noodle boy?"

"Oh um sorry your rooms super cool"

"Shut up just give me the cake already"

Redson snatched the cake and sat down on his bed he cut it half way and started eating one of the half's with a fork

"Whoa redson that's a lot of cake"

"So what there's only two of us to slices"

"And of course you took the side with happy birthday on it leaving me with ..redson"

"Hm?"

"Oh nothing don't worry about it"

Mk sat down next to him and ate some of the cake but was focusing on redson who was devouring his piece and was surprisingly not even making a mess redsons face turned from slightly upset to super happy like it was the best thing he's ever eaten redson must really have a sweet tooth mk went back to eating his cake but then he heard purring from somewhere and he looked over and the sound was definitely coming from redson he was so happy that he let his guard down

"Um redson do demons usually purr"
Redson immediately stopped and stared at mk before his face turned super red
"What no I-I don't I mean demons don't why do you ask hehe"

"You so did awww redson that's adorable"

Mk kept teasing him about it and they we're having a lot of fun just talking to each other

"Would you shut up you moron"

"Heheh never"

"Actually who made this cake ive had millions of better cakes in my existence"

"Man you must really love sweets if you've had that many"

"No not really I just like  cake this one's  alright "

"Well then I'll have to make you a better one that's suitable for your taste buds"

"I take it back this is the best cake I've had in my whole entire life  make me more one day"

"Let me finish you moron, as I was saying thank you I was planning to just stay all by myself sense my parents were away they didn't even remember it was my birthday I thought no one did I hate my birthday so I wasn't even gonna bother to do something by myself sorry for being so cold to you earlier I was just a bit upset it made me really happy that you were here just for me I never even told you my birthday and you still showed up so thank you"

"Don't worry about it redson oh wait that reminds me I haven't gave you your present"

Mk pulled out the box and handed it to redson
Inside was a small necklace in was a small white peach kinda weird but screamed mk redsons eyes practically lit up he loved it

"I love it but why this colour"

"Oh simple it's so you can change it"

"Well it's made of this fancy material so you can use fire to change the colour and I was like wait redson has fire and I wasn't sure what you're favourite colour was so you get all of them"

Redson grabbed mks cheek and kissed him mk just stood there stunned but then his whole face turned pink his brain couldn't function

"For future reference my favourite colour is purple but I think I'm starting to like that shade of pink of your face I think I wanna see that more often"
