Count on me

(Being Rafe's older sister)

*Abigail's POV*
I was driving home from work when I got a text from Rafe. I pulled over to read it and I couldn't believe what it said.
(R= Rafe. A= Abigail)
*Start of texts*

R - Can you come and pick me up from school because something happened today and I don't want to go home?

A - I will come as soon as I can. Did you get expelled again?

R - Maybe

A - Come and find my car, I'm out at the back.

R - Coming

*End of texts*

I see Rafe coming towards the car and I couldn't help feeling sorry for him but I have to be strong and support my family when they need it most. "What happened?" I could see the tears starting to form in his eyes "I don't want to talk about it!"
"How about this, we go back to my place and you can talk to me or Harry when we get back?"
"That sounds good!" Tears were starting to fall from my eyes as well as we reached the apartment. I opened the door to see a comforting view - Harry chilling while waiting for me. I called out "I'm home and immediately, Harry got up from the couch to greet us "Hey Abi!" He looked down at Rafe "What's wrong Rafe?" We were both concerned about him but then his phone we t off and we could see that it was his mother. I knew he wouldn't want to answer so I said "Pass me your phone and I'll speak to mom!" All he said was "Thanks" as both of the boys walked out of the kitchen, leaving me to deal with the phone call.
"Hey mom!"
"Hey Abi, do you know where Rafe is - he hasn't come home yet?"
"He's here with me and Harry!"
"That's ok then I just wanted to know that he was safe!"
I have one more thing to ask..."
"Go on, I'm listening"
"Can I come and pick up Georgia later? Tell her she needs to have her suitcase packed and while your there can you do Rafe's as well?"
"Sure"
"I'll be over in a few hours"
"Well it's been nice speaking to you but I've got to go now"
"Bye mom!"
"Bye sweetie, I love you!" Then she hung up leaving me a little emotional. I went in to the lounge and I could see the boys talking and Rafe looking a little more cheerful. "What ya guys talking about?"
"What happened today!"
"Ok, Rafe can you go and get changed while I talk to Harry? There are some clothes from last time you stayed in the spare room!"
"Sure" He left the room leaving me and Harry to talk about grown up stuff.

*Rafe's POV*
I had just finished getting changed when I heard the conversation in the lounge:
"Should we adopt them?"
"They're my family and mom doesn't understand what bear is doing to them! With everything else going on, I think it's a bit too much to take"
"Should we give them their birthday present now because I think they're gonna need it!"
"I don't see while we can't!" I couldn't contain myself any longer so I burst in the room shouting "PLEASE ADOPT US!"
Harry's shocked response was "You heard?"
"Well..." Abigail contributed
"What?" I blurted out.
"I've got to go and pick up Georgia but Harry has a suprise for you!"
"Bye princess and take care"
"I will don't you worry!" Then they kissed while I turned around and make a yuck face but that could be me one day. I don't like to think about it though!
We went over to a pair of rooms which I didn't know existed. I was told to enter the left one and I couldn't believe what I was seeing - A replica of my bedroom but why here. Then I had a brainwave
"No, this can't be?"
"It is and that's not the best part!"
"What's the best part!"
"Wait until Georgia gets here and we'll tell you both at the same time!"
A few moments after we said that I heard my younger sister call out my name "Rafe!" I ran in to my room and yelled back "I'm in here!"
"Where is here?" Then excitement filled my heart as Harry called "Rafe it's time!" I ran in to the lounge and greet Georgia with a hug and Harry says "I have an announcement, so..."
"We're going to adopt you!" Abi finished. We were jumping around like two 5 year olds! That's how exited we were and since then, life has been better than ever. I do miss mom and Leo but it was all worth it. My new school is amazing and I met some amazing people who actually understand me! Now that's what I call living the good life!
