Chapter 2

Liz
I pulled my head up after throwing up for what felt like the millionth time this week.

Luckily, Brendon hasn't been home when it happens, so he doesn't know.

The kids were at daycare and Brendon was picking them up on his way home from work.

I got in my car to make a quick trip to Walgreens, immediately finding my way to the ladies aisle, grabbing 2 brands of pregnancy tests.

I paid for them and went home.

I took one from the first brand.

Two lines.

I took one from the second brand.

Pregnant.

I squealed in excitement.

I've always wanted another kid.

My squeals stopped as I sat down.

How was I going to tell B?

I called Meagan. She would know what to do.

She answered on the 4th ring, thankfully.

"Hey Liz!", she said. "Everything okay?"

"Meg, I need your help. Meet me at Starbucks in 10.", I panicked.

"Be right there.", she replied, hanging up.

My favorite thing about Meagan was that she was there whenever I needed her to be, no questions asked.

Hence why she's my best friend.
_____________

I got to the Starbucks and saw Meagan pull up.

I took up my purse and my sunglasses, finding a seat at an outside table as she came over.

"So, what's going on?", she asked.

"Well...", I said, pulling out the tests.

"Oh my God! You're having another baby, Liz?", she squealed, hugging me.

"I am. But how do I tell Bren?", I asked.

"Okay, I'll tell you what I did when I told Pete about Saint.", she replied.

"I got a sonogram done and put it in a box. I just put a pacifier in there. That simple."

"So do you think we could get a sonogram done today?", I asked.

"Yeah! Coincidentally, the doctor's office I went to last time is actually right down the street, they take walk ins and stuff.", she replied.

We got in our separate cars and I followed her down the street.

We eventually got to the clinic and signed in.

I went into the room and we looked at the baby.

Tears welled in my eyes as I saw the little blob that would soon be my son or daughter.

"Oh my gosh, that's definitely a Urie baby.", Meagan whispered, tears streaming down her face.

"Well Mrs. Urie, it looks as if you are 7 weeks. You should be able to find out the gender at your regular doctor in a solid 2 weeks. Sound good?", the doctor said, finishing up.

"Yes, of course.", I replied.
_______

We went back to our houses and I called Brendon.

"Hey, babe, what's up?"

"Hey B, you on your way home?"

"I'm a few minutes away from the kid's daycare. I'll be home in a half hour, tops."

"Sounds good. I love you."

"I love you more."

________

He eventually got home and the kids went to bed, leaving us alone.

"I have a surprise for you.", I smirked.

I handed him the box.

"Jesus Christ Liz, you're scaring me!", he chuckled.

He opened it and saw the pictures.

"I-is this what I think it is?", he smiled.

I nodded and showed him the test.

"Oh my god! I'm going to be a daddy again!", he yelled.

"Bren, the kids are sleeping!", I whispered.

"Oh right. Yay!", he yelled.

I slapped my head in disbelief.

He is a literal child.
