Chapter 10

Brendon

Liz has been feeling down lately, especially with losing Benji, so I decided to do something.

Something that was needed for both of us.

I called up the one and only George Ryan Ross III.

Liz and Ryan FaceTime every few months each year, so the kids know who he is.

But she hasn't seen him since he left the band, also since he stopped working at Urielectric.

He's coming in from Vegas, and I'm going to pick him up from the airport.

He texted me just now and told me he landed.

I saw him and we had a hug.

We haven't seen each other in person in years, but we recently began talking again.

"Hey, dude.", he smiled, putting his long hair back.

"Hey. It's been a while.", I replied, laughing.

"Yeah. How's everything?", Ryan asked.

"We've been better. It's hard seeing Liz in the place she's in, but it's okay besides that.", I replied.

"How's she taking it?", he asked, talking about Benji.

"Better than she was at the start. Before she used to cry herself to sleep and was barely functioning. Wouldn't even let me sleep in the same room as her.", I replied.

"Bunked with the kids?", he laughed.

"Every night.", I chuckled.

"But she's doing better, and I think she's moving on."

And that was the end of that conversation.

We eventually pulled into our driveway and got home.

"We have to be really quiet, don't want anyone ratting us out.", I whispered, getting out of the car, Ryan giving me a thumbs up as he got out.

We slowly walked to the front door, trying not to cause too much commotion.

Unfortunately, the dogs started barking, almost ruining Ryan and I's plan.

Penny sniffed Ryan, and began to jump on him in excitement, as if she remembered him.

Bogart was just following behind us, and I had to lead him into the kid's room.

I pulled my phone out, recording Ryan knocking on Liz and I's room door.

I heard her get up and open the door.

She screamed so loud that I promise you, the entire state of California heard her.

"Ryan, oh my god?!", she yelled, jumping into his arms.

"Liz Urie.", he smiled, kissing her forehead.

"Uncle Ry!", Tatum and Max yelled.

"Hey.", he replied, picking them both up.

He held Finn for a bit, then gave him back because he has no experience with kids whatsoever.

We had fun.
