Narrator's POV

Kushina, Naruto, Sky and Sasuke stood opposite each other. Naruto and Kushina frozen. Sky and Sasuke just shocked. They did not expect the wife of the Hokage to stand on the other hill. Though what she said shocked them even more.

"You're that boy from all those years ago. The one who hit his head badly on the playground and just shrugged it off as nothing... Are you not?" Naruto gulped. "Yeah t-that was me..." "I-I'm sorry." "What for?"  "For not looking after you all these past years. But something snapped inside of me today when I tried thinking about the clouded part of my mind. Then I saw you and the scene were you hurt yourself and fell off the swing. I think you were three. I said something to you but I couldn't hear the last word. Do you remember what I said?" "Yes ma'am" "Please repeat it." "Y-you said 'If you say so sochi'... That was one year before the twins' birthday. Something went wrong and the last thing you ever said to me was 'Remember. If anything happens to me or tou-chan. We will always love you no matter what. And if worst comes to worst we will always be with you. You may not see us, but we'll always be present in your heart. Sochi... I love you...'" Tears streamed down Mother and son's faces then something flamed up in both of them.

A flame that was oddly familiar with the two. A wide smile spread across Naruto's face when he saw his mother look at him with recognition, sorrow, grief, guilt and pride.

Then she did something she hasn't done in quite a few years. She hugged him. And he didn't hesitate to hug back. They stayed like that for a few minutes, scared that if they let go the other would disappear. "Kaa-chan?" He asked with a quiet and small voice. Scared that he was just imagining things and she would yell at him. "Yes sochi?"

That's what broke the dam. Naruto started bawling his eyes out out of happiness and joy. She hasn't called him that for over eight years. Kushina started crying too. Happy to have her sochi back. But she had no clue as to how she could just forget him. But she didn't care right now. First she had to clam her son and catch up on many things.

After a few minutes they calmed diwn again. "Kaa-chan? Not that I'm not happy but why did you remember and how did you forget me in the first place?" "I don't know sochi I have absolutely no clue... But we will figure it out sometime. And most importantly I won't ever forget again. Ever." she promised.

*time skip the next day*

The next morning Naruto woke up in his room in the Uchiha district. After all the drama yesterday he and Kushina decided to keep their reunion a secret from the rest of the Namikaze family. It pained both of them but he didn't want to deal with the Hokage and him scolding and punishing him for 'brainwashing' his wife.

So he stayed the night in the Uchiha's house again. They didn't mind as they practically took care of him since he was five.

Naruto made his way downstairs. In his way of doing so he 'accidently' pulled Sasuke out of bed as well. He hit the floor face first and shot, up eyes wide and in a defensive taijutsu stance. Naruto chuckled and continued on his way down the stairs.

Sasuke knew that Naruto knew that he was not a morning person. He grumbled and planned his revenge on his brother as he made his way to the kitchen. He was met with the sight of his mother cooking breakfast and his brothers laying the table. His father was probably already at work doing who knows what. He sighed as he sat down and waited for breakfast to be served.

Mikoto couldn't help but feel restless. She had a feeling something bad was going to happen soon. She just didn't know when. But she didn't need to know that she just knew it was coming. Like the calm before the storm.

Kushina's POV

I felt something bad was going to happen soon. I couldn't place when though. But I don't need to. I know it involves one of my children amd U won't let harm come their way. Not Menma, not Mito nor Naruto are going to get hurt. Not under my watch.

Unknown POV

Just you wait boy. I'll come for you. I'll search for you and I will kill you for what you did to me.
