Chapter 36

I woke up with a half- smile plastered on my face. Last night with Harry was the most pleasant time we had ever spent with each other- besides, you know, having sex. I heard my mother shuffling about in her room and decided it was time to get ready to go out. I put on my black bikini, some denim shorts, a white tank top with a high neckline, my flannel and some sandals. I got my back and self-ready then opened the door to see my mother sitting with a cup of coffee reading a pamphlet.

"What are you reading Mom?" I asked, curiously, I then poured a cup of coffee for myself and sat down next to her.

"When you went back up to the room last night-" That was the lie I told her when I went to meet Harry, I felt bad for leaving her but she was more than happy for me to get some rest. "I got talking to a woman here on business, her name was Sophia and she told me about the spa day."

"Spa day?"

"Yes, this hotel holds a day where adults can come and relax, get massages and facials."

"That sounds cool, do you want to go with this woman- Sophia?" I asked, honestly my mother could do with a massage.

"I would like to but, what do you want?" She asked. I smiled at her and held her hand in front of me. I fished into my backpack for my purse and looked at the pamphlet for the price.

"Don't worry about me, I am going to spend the day exploring while you spend it with a new friend getting massages. Then I want you to call me when you're finished, get all pretty and I will take you out to dinner in a restaurant that I have found while exploring." I smiled. "Here's the money." I handed her the fee for a full experience.

"My treat." I said. She smiled and took the money off of me.

"Be safe when you explore. I love you." She said giving me a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"Always. I love you." I said. I went to my room quickly and added some must haves to my bag, like a hoodie and switched my shoes to my converse.

"Bye Mom."

I ran around in search for the curly haired, emerald eyed man. Looking up and down to see if I could see him sitting reading a book. Finally, I found him standing by the reception getting some water out of the drinks machine.

"What are you doing today?" I asked scaring him a little.

"Good morning to you too." He said yawing.

"Answer the question Harry."

"Nothing why?" He questioned.

"Would you like to explore the island with me?" I asked, then immediately regretted it when I saw his face, the shock was evident and so was the hesitation. "Did I overstep?"

"No, it's just, what about your mom?" He asked.

"She is giving me some free time." I smiled.

"Then hell yeah."

We climbed into the car we were renting and Harry started the ignition, the leather interior was warm and the sun glistened on the dashboard. He turned on the radio to an old rock song playing.

"Where do you want to go?" He asked pulling out of the car park.

"Let's go into town."

We parked the car in a carpark by the edge of the beach and payed the meter so we could be here all day. We are headed towards a busy street with shops outside and people laughing and walking about. I felt something brush up against my fingertips and look down to see Harry's hand trying to find my own.

"Sorry." He said moving his hand away.

"No, I'm sorry." I sighed. Then I looked at him and saw how beautiful he was in his hat and sunglasses. I smirked and went behind him. I went onto my tip toes so my lips were close to his ear and placed my hands on his shoulders to steady myself.

"Catch me." Then I jumped and fortunately he caught my thighs as my body collided with his back.

"Where to, Princess?"

"A hospital, if you call me that again." I giggled. "The shop over there." I pointed and he took me on his back over towards where sunglasses were on a tower being spun.

Harry slung his arm over his shoulder as we walked out of yet another store, I was buying all sorts of stuff to take back home, stuff that was handmade and some stuff that was the cheesy tourist stuff like a Hawaiian shirt. My phone is now full of pictures of the town, Harry and I.

"I'm hungry, are you hungry?" Harry asked.

"Yeah I could eat something." I replied looking up at him, he smiled that huge Cheshire cat smile of his and leaned down to kiss me. For a change, we weren't fighting, we weren't playing teacher and student and we defiantly weren't icing each other out. We are acting like a couple- even though we aren't and it feels amazing, comfortable and just good. I like how I feel when he is like that and I like the person he is. We walked into a local shave ice and looked at the menu.

"I've always wanted to try this." I admitted. Once we had finally decided we went and ordered our food. I ordered a cherry ice with a cheeseburger and fries, Harry ordered a beer and shrimp.

We sat on a bench outside the restaurant just talking about anything and everything ate our food and then ate some more.

"Last day today." Harry said.

"I know. I think that's why my mother wanted to have that spa day." I replied eating the ice.

"I think it is fate that we have the same flight."

"How do you know that?" I asked.

"Your mom told me when we were talking the other night." I nodded and continued eating, fucking A. They planned this really well didn't they. "Sky?" I looked at him and suddenly the whole vibe just shifted, I sighed knowing what he was going to say. Damn did he have to do this now?

"About what happened-" I cut him off.

"Don't worry about it, what happened in Hawaii stays in Hawaii."

"But-"

"Seriously, don't worry about it. Nothing has to change when we get back." I said.

"I-" He was cut off again but this time not by me but by my phone ringing in my bag. I took it out and saw it was my mom. Then I looked at the time, I think we had eaten our lunch either late or really slowly because suddenly it was six in the afternoon.

"Sorry, I need to take this."  I excused myself from the table and walked away to quickly take the call.

"Hey mom." I greeted her.

"Hi sweetheart." She said sounding more relaxed than I have ever heard her.

"Are you okay?" I questioned.

"Yes I am perfectly fine, the spa day was exquisite and the massage was sublime. I am finished now so if you are done exploring..."

"I'm done." I said glancing over at Harry at the table playing with his thumbs. "Get ready to go out to dinner, I found a greet sea food restaurant on the beach where we can sit and watch the sun set. I will be back in half an hour to get changed. I will meet you in our room." I explained.

"Sounds great, see you soon, love you."

"Love you." I replied and then waited for the call to go dead, signalling she had hung up on me. I braced myself and walked back the table picking up my shave ice and the rest of my fries to eat on the way back.

"I have to go back, are you ready to go?" I asked. He nodded and picked up his things, walking ahead of me back to the car. I sighed and walked behind him knowing that the mood had completely changed since he mentioned us and what is going to happen when we get back to England.

Once I got back I said my farewells to Harry and then made it into my room. I placed everything I had bought onto my bed and began getting ready. After showering I decided to keep my natural wavy hair and do some winged eye liner and dark maroon red lipstick with a little black dress and my wedged sandals. I walked out with my bag in my hand to see my mother looking like something that fell from heaven. She was wearing a beautiful lilac washed, dress with some diamond jewellery and her hair straightened.

"You looked beautiful." I complimented her.

"As do you." She reciprocated.

"Let's go." I gestured. "Dinner on the seafront, on me."

A/N

So here is another chapter, I hope you like it. It is mainly focussed around Skylar's mother because it is mother's day here so I thought it fit.

Also I have just found out this is #577 in fanfiction that is bloody amazing you guys thank you so much.
