I remember going to Medieval Times
         with my fourth grade daughter
in Toronto
      years ago
the knights jousting
       horses snorting
          swords held high
                     bravely
(bravely) of course
     her classmates screaming in delight
Wouldn't it be cool to be a knight, she said
         on the school bus
               back on the 401 home
                    her head on my shoulder
Today, a teacher, she prepares to go into the arena
         with mask and shield
                      a dream, edited
