A ray of sunshine (not Phil) had managed to creep it's way passed your curtains. You tried to cover your eyes but the pain in your head was making that almost impossible. You groan sitting up in your bed. You see on the bedside table that Y/F had left water and painkillers, before leaving for work. You thank her telepathically and take both.

After, when you managed to get out of bed, you had a long hot shower. When you got out you put on a simple outfit and did you hair. You had breakfast and decided to scroll mindlessly through tumblr. Then you got a notification that said, Danisnotonfire just uploaded a new video called How I lost the girl.
You hesitated but finally clicked on it. When it went on the video it showed a tired and sad Dan. You felt your heart ache seeing him like that and decided not to ignore the feeling. At the end of the video you were crying.

"Urg!!! I've got to woman up!" You say wiping your tears away.

Dan's P.O.V.

I knew that the video wasn't going to make her run back to me but somewhere deep inside me I hopped she would... It's not like it would fix everything. But I felt better talking about it, and, in some ways, I hope she would watch it. I missed her terribly, her smile, her eyes, her hair and just her in general! I kicked air and sat back down looking at comments on the video. Most of them were saying that we would get back together but some were hate on one or both of us.
I sighed and ruffled my hair. Since the 'incident' Phil had barely talked to me which had depressed me even more than I already was. My best friend and My Girl were pissed at me but her best friend was giving me a chance?
"It doesn't make sense!" I groan.
"What doesn't make sense?" A familiar voice said. I look up to see...

Flashback

"Look Dan! I made a picture of us on the playground!" Y/N said showing me a piece of art (at least what he thought at the time). I smiled and put it on the freezer thanks to magnets. She gave me the biggest hug and said "You're my best friend Dan!" "And you are mine!" I hugged her. "Come lets go play Mario Kart!" She said jumping on the couch. I sit next to her after handing her a Nintendo remote. She was a better player then me so I always made up excuses. "I had hair in my eye!" Or "Pff please I let you win!" Or better yet "Cheater!" Then she would always laugh.

(But this time after giving her the real explanation, it was no laughing matter...)

We would always eat ice cream afterwards that our mums gave us, and then run around in the backyard. Y/N would usually suggest we play tag or hide and go seek. That's when we would usually burn all our energy. After playing for a good amount of time one of us would leave but we'd start again the next day...

Those were the good times.... When life wasn't all... Grown up...
