Charmaine rushed to the elevator to Malani's room. For what felt like the longest time Charmaine been waiting on her moment. She got off the elevator speed walking down the hall to Malani's room. She clutched on to her purse as she ran. When she made it to the room she barged in
Two nurses were standing by her with clip boards in hand.
Charmaine eyes welted while Malani eyes lit up. The nurses stepped aside letting Charmaine hug her baby girl.

"Lani baby"she cried. Hugging Malani tightly. She laughed while her mom held her tight.

"Mommy" she smiled holding both sides of Charmaine face.
"I missed you. I promise I ain't ever ever gonna let anyone hurt you ever again. When I get paid were gonna take trips to wherever you wanna go. It's just gonna be you ,and me I promise I won't let no one hurt you ever again"

"I love you "
"Love you too." Charmaine was happy that not only did she wake up but she didn't suffer a memory loss.

"Hungry?"
"No, I eat already " Charmaine nodded her head.
"Alright lani. It's really late I want you to try and get some rest.

The whole night Charmaine stayed up thinking to herself and thanking God. It was a blessing
She really wanted to get out of the hospital. She had been here way too long. Within a week Malani would be released so Charmaine had to find a place quick.

"Where the fuck that girl go?"
"She just up and left"Omarion shrugged. Kain really wasn't feeling her. She didn't give off that party girl vibe like she was suppose to.

You could tell she ain't fit in with the others either. Everyone else had big tits, Fat ass ,didn't mind guys touching all up on them. Charmaine on the other hand was the total opposite. She had nice boobs but her ass wasn't big like the others. Her outfit wasn't revealing and most of the time she had a mug on her. Nor did she like the guys touching her.

"Her ass better not show up tomorrow"
"Yea whatever. I'm about to take this money to the back room."
"I ain't counting that shit or sorting papers tonight. I'm tired as shit " Omarion said patting his pockets for his weed

"You just pick up your slack tomorrow. Just lock this shit up "
"Aight man" they both went their separate ways. There were boxes with papers in them that needed to be shredded. They all had private info Kain needed to be disposed.

Two days later

Tiani stopped by the hospital to have breakfast with Charmaine,and Malani. They were all having a good time chatting.

"Char.If you ever need a babysitter let me know. I Work from home so I'm all ways available. "Tiani reminded Charmaine.

She looked up giving Tiani a closed mouth smile.
"Call me if you need anything. I'm about to go over Mari's house. Charmaine thought to her self trying to figure out who Mari was. Then she remembered it was Tiani's stepbrother.

"Thanks for stopping by " Tiani hugged Charmaine.
"No problem girl. Call me if you need anything. I mean it" She walked over to Malani kissing her cheek.

"It was nice finally meeting you baby girl "
Malani just waved. Tiani grabbed her containers then leaving out.

"Mommy has to run to the bank up the street. The doctors and nurses will watch you. I promise you see that hand that's on the twenty?"

"Yes"
"When it gets to the five zero I'll be right back. Mommy needs to get a credit card "

"I can be big girl"Lani said.
Charmaine smiled kissing Lani.
"I'll bring some of your toys back with me okay?"

Lani smiled nodding her head. Before Charmaine actually left she made sure the doctors know no visitors are allowed to see her.
Charmaine needed to find an apartment quick. Lani was  to be released this week.

There were only a week or two until Griff court case. If he was a free man they needed to move away quickly.

Charmaine was ready to move on from that chapter of her life. She wanted nothing to do with that man nor his family.

Kain locked up the club making his way over to his mom's house. There was business that he had to handle with his father.

Kain father was the one who had the south on lock before Kain did . He also had a cartel of guys from Italy, Jamacia, Columbia and Ghana. When Kain needed extra hands or if he was going to war he would use his fathers cartel. Maybe sometimes if kain wasn't sure what to do he would turn to his father since he had thirty plus years of experience.

He got to his parents house seeing the gardener cutting shrubs in the yard.

Kain family was Millionaires. They lived in a beautiful four story  home in Baltimore.

He killed the engine dusting off his saks fifth T-shirt.  His mom was out front watering her plants.

"Hey boy" she looked up smiling at him.
"Hey ma. What you out here doing?"

"Nothing much. Just keeping up with my flowers. " she huffed with her hands on her hips.

"Oh that's wassup. Where is Karma and the twins?"

"Karma went out with Jelissa and T. The twins just left out with Omarian.
"Pops in there right?"
"Yeah. Do me a favor and turn off the stove before you go looking for your dad."
Kain nodded his head walking in the house. His trip was cut short when he spotted his father in the kitchen stirring whatever was in the pot.

"Let me get some"
"Get it your self. What you doing over this way ?"

"I needed to talk to you "

"About what ?" his father asked scooping rice and beans into his bowl.

"That one nigga from Jamaica. You wanted me to find "

"Thank you"Charmaine smiled. She stuffed the card in her purse. She had gotten a twelve hundred dollar loan. That should be able to get her apartment then she would have to work to pay rent after that.
Hopefully she didn't get fired for leaving on her first day.
