"No sir"Charmaine said looking down at Milani as she chewed on her cut apple slices.
"All I need you to do is write these checks. You can sit in my office. I don't need you to make any runs with me or anything." Kain said hoping she would give in.

"Under one condition "
"What?"Kain asked sounding more so interested. He wasn't expecting her to say that.

"You have to be nice-er to me."
"As if I ain't already"
"You...Nice to me? Never "
"Aight."he sighed. Maybe if Kain didn't say anything to her other than tell her the instructions , he wouldn't have to worry about being nice at all.

"So wh-"
"You said you at White Marsh?"
"Yes"
"Stay there. Meet me in the front. I'll be there shortly"
Charmaine nodded her head as if he could see her. "Bye"she hung up.

"Lani you want to go to mommy's job for a little?"
"Yes!"she cheered. Charmaine was happy she was down with it.

She cleaned up their mess and grabbed Lani's happy meal for her.
"Alrighty. Did you have fun today?"
"Yes. I like my nails" she said holding her hands up. Charmaine ended up getting their hands done. Charmaine was able to get all of Malani clothes and a few toys that she picked.

She was happy Malani was enjoying their little outing.
"Mommy will my daddy ever come back?"
"Do you want him back?"
"He scares me"she said not answering the question. They walked outside waiting a few. Charmaine felt someone staring at her which made her clutch Malani's hand.
"Ouch mommy"Lani giggled trying to wiggle her hand out of Charmaine tight grip. She was in a daze hoping it wasn't someone actually watching her. She seen Kain car roll up and she sighed in relief. She walked towards the car. Her hand was just inches away from grabbing the door handle,but someone stopped her.

"Aye you... Griff ol' lady"the guy said. Charmaine recognized him as one of Griff many friends.
"N-no"
"Chan..Cha...Charmaine right?"
Kain couldn't help but to notice the shakiness in her voice. He sighed getting out.
"The fuck you in my lady face for?"
The guy took a step back looking confused.
"I'm just trying to figure something out bruh that's it. "Kain placed his hand on Char lower back.
"Go ahead and get in the car with lil' mama "he instructed. She quickly nodded her head doing so.

"So tell me exactly the hell you trynna figure out"
" She just look like my man's wife and we been looking for her and shit. "

"Nah. That ain't her player. "
"Oh aight. My bad man. No hard feelings "he said holding his hands up in surrender.

Kain just eyed him before getting in to the car himself. Charmaine was scared shitless. "Calm down...damn" he demanded. Charmaine was still breathing heavy and hyperventilating.

"I was so cl-"
"As long as Kain around ain't a damn thing gon' happen. As for Griff if I see his ass it's a wrap. " Kain had a soft spot for Char and her daughter. He watched them nearly beaten to death. That shit hurt his heart. Especially all the damn blood shed from Malani head on that concrete. There was more business reasons why Kain didn't like Griff and wanted to beat his ass.

"Thank you Kain it means a lot."she said giving him a faint smile. "We made a deal right? I'm only being nice"he faked smiled.
He looked back at Malani for a quick second
"Aye what's your name lil' mama?"
"Malani" she smiled. Kain looked at her through the mirror. She was beautiful just like her mama.
"Yo she look just like you"he said. "Yeah"Charmaine smiled glancing back at her.
"So what do you need me to do?"
"Write out the checks. I got too much stuff to handle. You can just sit in the office and handle that shit. I'll be out for about an hour handling business then I'll take you home"
"Okay"Charmaine said. She sat back with her head against the window.

"Excuse me" Malani soft voice spoke. Charmaine looked back seeing what she wanted.
"Yes baby?"
"What's his name?"she pointed. Char laughed a little bit.
"Kain"
"Like the kind of doggy?"
"What dog?"Charmaine said confused.
"Kain-nine" Malani spoke with confidence. " Kain-nine? "Charmaine questioned
"yeah" she giggled.

Ten minutes later they were pulling up infront of the club. Charmaine got out,and out of respect Kain helped Lani out the backseat.

"Thank you" Kain gave her a small smile and held the door open for them.

Malani was looking around in shock at all the lights. No one was in there but janitors and the rest of the cleaning team.

They followed Kain down to his office. He unlocked the door letting them in. He sat all the things down that Charmaine may need at her desk.

"You want to watch TV?" Malani looked over t Charmaine for permission. She didn't allow Malani to watch TV often. She normally was only allowed an hour of screen time.

"Yeah she's fine" Kain tossed them the remote. "Aight you know where the bathroom is I'm out "

"Bye bye"Malani waved. Kain cracked a smile waving by to her. "Can you put Ariel on?"
"You mean the little mermaid?"
"Yes"she jumped up from her seat. Charmaine grabbed the remote finding the movie for her.

Charmaine started to get down to business while Malani stayed occupied.

"Half a brick?" Kain questioned with his hand on the bridge of his nose. "Yea"Omarion confirmed.

"One of these muthafuckas' want to die. Bring everybody from that warehouse in here"
