Charmaine looked down at her shopping list then back up at the shelf's.
She grabbed sun screen for Malani and her self.

Charmaine had five more days until their trip to Florida.

"Is that it?"Malani asked tiredly
"Yes"Charmaine said laughing then looking back at her phone screen. Kain was in tune with whatever was ESPN. Every so often she would catch him mumbling to himself.

"So when you actually leaving?"Kain asked looking back at the screen.
"We have five days" Charmaine looked around for the check out.

Kain cursed under his breath. He disappeared from the camera. Charmaine looked around and seen Tiani with all kinds of stuff.

"On FaceTime with your boo?"She looked down at the screen.

Kain returned with his insulin.
Charmaine had a twisted look on her face as she  watched him prick himself.

"Your a diabetic?"
"Yea"

"Wow... I didn't know that."
"Yea. It's hard trying too keep up with it "he sighed holding a small napkin over the spot he pricked.

Charmaine frowned then began to scan her items.

"Welp. I'll remind you "
"Bet"Kain smiled showing his set of straight teeth.

"Y'all so cute"Tiani coughed while nudging Charmaine.

"Charmaine grinned pulling her wallet out. "

"That's my lil homie"
Charmaine small grin was now wide.

"So what are you going to be doing while i'm gone?"

"Same ol shit I do everyday" Kain had meetings after meetings to attend to these next few days
He had a hugs shipment coming in to.

Charmaine doubled her lips nodding. She watched Malani from the corner of her eye sneak a bag of candy on to the belt.

"Little girl you ain't slick "Charmaine laughed taking it from her.

Charmaine and Malani was sitting on the couch waiting for Kain. Tiani left to go do some work at home.

Kain felt now that everything was clear between the two he could start doing 'more' stuff with her. Knowing where they stand made everything much more easier.

Kain was coming over to chill with them. He insisted coming over her house since his brother and sister was staying the night over his house.

"Where is he"Malani whined throwing her head back.
"Cut it out"Charmaine said sternly coming from the kitchen
with the tongs in her hand.

She finished mixing her salad and washed her hands. On her way out from the kitchen there was a knock at her door.

Assuming it was Kain she let Malani open the door. When she seen who stood in front of it she was taken back.

Charmaine rushed over to the door and pushed Malani out the way.

"I paid my rent what is it that you want?"Charmaine asked irritated.

She could smell his hot breath from the way he was breathing all hard.

"Why do you keep...dodging me?"
Charmaine ignored him rolling her eyes. She began to shut the door but he put his foot in the door attempting to stop her from shutting the door on his face.

"Charmaine" his words was slurred. He continued to force his way in.

"Lani get me the phone"she yelled out to Malani.

Kain had his head down looking at his phone when he heard muffling and the sound of grunts.

He put his phone away going up to Charmaine door. He seen the white old man pushing against her door.

He gripped him up by the collar.
"The hell you doing playa' "Kain said twisting his face up. Charmaine peeped out the door seeing it was Kain.

Her back was against the wall while she sighed in relief.

Here Kain was saving the day again.
