"Charmaine get your ass down here and get this baby up...Making a mess and shit"he yelled. He didn't have to repeat himself twice, Charmaine ran down the stairs not worrying about the bruises on her leg that hurt. " You Gave her ass cereal ,and ain't watch her. I swear to god if I had the energy I would slap the shit out of your dumb ass " Griff words slurred as he downed the rest of his drink. Charmaine has gotten so use to his him mentally, physical and verbal abuse that it didn't hurt anymore.

When Charmaine was just seventeen years old her mother forced her to get married with a rich white guy...Griff. Charmaine didn't want to do it,but her mother needed the money so she did as told. A year rolled around and her mother had passed away from a stroke.
So broken and hurt she wanted to leave Griff ,but that wasn't having it. He fell in love with her. Even though he abuses her , he knows she understands. He likes to be in charge ,and when they got married she now belongs to him. Now Charmaine is soon to be nineteen and still putting up with him. Leaving an abusive relationship is not as easy as it seems.

"You have twenty minutes to get dressed and if your not I'm gonna get the belt " he threaten. He always beat Charmaine with a belt as if she was a child.
"Malani baby c'mon"Charmaine said reaching for her. Malani followed closely behind her. Griff hasn't hit Malani, all the times he was about to Charmaine stopped him which resulted in a harsh beating.
Charmaine didn't have time to find a whole outfit so she picked a dress. When going out with Griff they always had to put on the happy family front. They also had to be dressed up neatly... Griff wasn't going to be seen with some ghetto female. It was bad enough she was already black.

"Malani not today "Charmaine wined. Malani never liked taking baths. Quickly giving them both a bird bath Charmaine slipped on her turtle neck dress then putting Malani in a pair of tan pants with a gold and white shirt.
She looked at the clock seeing they only had a few minutes left. She had to condition Malani har ,and put makeup on to cover her bruises.

Charmaine was upset she had to drop her baby off with Griff sister. Before all the beatings the two were close.
Charmaine soon realized Jessica was just around to keep tabs on her while they were out and about. Jessica still liked Charmaine as a friend though.
Griff was a drug connect his family were Italian and they move around alot of weight. However Griff and his family were just scammers ,but they haven't met anyone smart enough to realize what they were doing.

"You look good today "Griff complimented while placing his hand on Charmaine thigh.
"Thank you "she looked out the window...He so full of bullshit. "You know I do everything out of love. I love you...You know that?"
"Yea-yes " "do you love me ?"
"Yes"she lied. If she told the truth he probably would have pushed her out the moving car ,and went back to get her...Only to beat her ass again. She learned the first time. Not to speak her mind but to say what will make him happy. "Maybe by the end of this month I can take us on a cruise to the Bahamas... What do you think?"
"Sounds fun "she plastered a fake smile on her face. He was so naive to her feelings. Neither of them were on the same page. Charmaine is thinking another way for him to try to kill me. Meanwhile Griff is thinking knocking her up again.

Griff wasn't satisfied with Malani. He wanted a boy not no little girl. When he found out Charmaine was having a girl he got a DNA test. Boys were more dominant in their family. The test came back 99.9% positive ,and he had the audacity to question the .1% Charmaine almost lost it hearing them dumb words coming out his mouth.

"When we get in here please don't make me look dumb. I'd hate to have to get rough with you " It was a small formal get together they were going to so kingpins and drug dealers could meet new connects. Griff got out not helping Charmaine out like others were doing for their ladies. Walking in there were people talking here and there. Others drinking or on the phone.

"Griff McNight " a tall Cambodian guy said.
"Steeve nice to see you again"
"Like wise. I sent you a email the other day. We ran out of product... Finally" he said. Meanwhile Griff was thinking how stupid this guy was. Looking up he saw one of the biggest kingpins who had the whole south on lock.
He made a mental note to chat with him," look stop by the warehouse tomorrow"Steve nodded his head quickly moving on to the next.
"Char let's go " he yanked her. He had to get to Terry before someone else did. "Terry!" Griff said enthusiastically. Terry turned around with his son Kain right on his side. "What can I help you with?"
"I'm sure you heard of me... I'm Griff and ask anyone in here I'm the best connect. I can get you anything "
"Anything huh? "
"Yes sir"Griff stated with a cocky tone. While Charmaine was starring at Kain who was starring back. Kain was no fool he could see right behind all that makeup she wore. He could also tell by the way Griff came off he was a scheming ass nigga.
"Oh yes this is my wife, sorry for her rudeness. Say hello Charmaine"he said through clenched teeth while yanking her arm. "I'm pleased to meet you. I'm Charmaine and you are?"she asked with a plastered smile. "Terry" he said looking her up and down,"and you are?"
"Kain "he lowly mumbled. He was very bothered by their presence. Griff was a scheming ass nigga ,and there was nothing left to say. Griff and Terry talked business. for another thirty minutes then they parted ways. There was no point for Griff to stay none of the others could afford him. Taking one last look around he was ready to go,"Char let's go" he held his hand out for Charmaine. Hesitantly she grabbed ahold of it.

Griff looked down at her finger looking at the fifteen thousand dollar ring on it. What in the world was I thinking. He thought his other wife he illegally married didn't even get a ring that big ,nor expensive. Sometimes Griff had too much damn pride and ego for his damn self. One minute he was expressing his love to her. The next she was a low down,black, ugly bitch to him.  

"Since you behaved your self today. When we get home I'll give you some" He stated feeling himself. Charmaine hated sex with him. For starters he was weird , he didn't last long and he didn't know what he was doing sometimes. He forced her to do sexual activities again neither of them were on the same page.

Charmaine seen it as rape cause she begged him not to her first time; way before they were married. Griff just thought she was acting dumb. Ever since then he told her when she had to get naked and have sex.
"I really want to go get Malani.... Can we?"Charmaine asked with pleading eyes,
"No we can get her tomorrow " he said while feeling all over Charmaine. She kept her legs crossed for a reason. Charmaine desperately wants to leave but after the first two times she tried the thoughts of it even made her cringe.what am I gonna do?
