While he was doing that Charmaine was wrapping a yellow rubber band around the money she just counted. She didn't care for Kain's music but she kept her mouth closed. The faster she got the done the earlier she could go home.

She sat the money aside with other money that was secured with a rubber band. It was Kain birthday but he treated it as if it was just any regular day Omarion and Bear traveled to Colombia for a meeting. A connect was very interested in doing business with Kain.

Omarion liked going out the country so Kain let him attend the meetings for him. Cause the meeting fell on his birthday there was nothing to do with his closest friends out of town.

Charmaine cooked the both of them Breakfast. She did it out of kindness and cause it was his birthday. Now it was almost time for Charmaine to leave in another hour and Kain had nothing to do so he would be working.  Kain put his blunt out then turned the music down.

"You done?"he asked her. Charmaine blew the loose strand of hair out her face nodding her head.

"Yeah all done" she said getting up. She brought to money over to his desk.
"Preciate it"he sighed.
"Tired?" she asked him. He looked up at her starring for a moment before sitting back in his chair. His fingers were locked between other fingers.

"Yea...you know same shit everyday. Wake up... Wash my ass, work out, get fresh,go to work then go back home."he chuckled pulling on his beard he had been growing out. Charmaine found it attractive,but she kept her thoughts to her self. She looked over his deep waves that were fresh. He had a nice line up too.

"Today is your birthday do something different"she shrugged.
"I'm a lonely ass nigga."he laughed feeling the 'High' get to him.

"Go get a girlfriend or a a friend to kick it with . Someone to entertain you"she suggested. Kain tried not to laugh but he did...very loudly.

"A girlfriend? Nah. Y'all females really be scheming. I peeped some shit. Y'all be running game on us then play victim... nah ...hell nah"he shook his head.

"That's just girls you've delt with so far. Find you a girl that's... different"Charmaine told him. She didn't like how he made it seem like ALL females were the same. She was nothing like the rest. Not that she was the only 'different one but there were plenty of them.

"Nah...I'll keep my hoes. At least they asses loyal"They both laughed at his dumb statement.
"Your funny"she said

"I'm funny? You said you had a sense of humor. Make me laugh"Kain dared her. Charmaine was a very corny person. Of course she knew a lot of the old yo momma and knock knock jokes.

"I must warn you I am corny"
Charmaine smirked. Kain nodded his head for her to continue.  "Why do Segal's fly over the sea and not the bay?"

Kain shrugged his shoulders waiting on her to tell him.
"Cause if they fly over the bay they would be baygals (bagel)

Charmaine cracked up at her own while Kain starred at her.
Kain watched her  brown skin turn a reddish color. She now looked asin cause the way her chinky eyes looked when she smiled or even laughed.

As soon as Charmaine got her self together she got ready to tell another one.

"Come on make me laugh" He rushed her.

"Knock knock " "who's there?,"
"Candice"
"Candice who?" "Can-Dis get any better" This time Kain cracked a smile. Not cause her joke was funny,but because how hard Charmaine was laughing. She smacked her her leg laughing. She was laughing so hard no sound came out of her mouth.

"Wait...Wait. What did the blanket say when it fell off the bed?"

"What? "
"Oh sheet" (oh shit)

Eventually Kain joined her laughing fit. "Yoo"he laughed. Tears were forming in the brim of her eyes.
Charmaine was had tears trickling down her face while she gasped for air.

"Yo...Shorty something wrong witchu' "Kain said
Charmaine sat up wiping the tears from her eyes. "Come on...I know you thought they were funny"

"Nah your corny as shit"Kain said bursting her bubble.
Charmaine got up ready to leave.
"I hope you enjoy the rest of your birthday"Charamine said putting her coat on.

"You got Malani tonight?"
"No. Tiani has her. She is having a sleep over with her other nieces "

"Why don't you kick it with a real nigga for a little bit" Charmaine looked up at the clock seeing it was going on ten soon.

"What you want to do?"
"It don't even matter. You want to go upstairs and chill" The club was open and busy so Kain didn't mind going up and having a good time.

"You know i'm not really the party type. I don't like a lot of people around me"
"Come on"he grabbed her hand leading her out.
"Where we going"

Kain ignored her. They were now walking through the club. Charmaine didn't know how to feel with Kain holding her hand. The only other guy that held her hand before was Griff.

Kain popped the locks to his car. He opened Charmaine door letting her in then he got in behind her.

"Where are we going?"
"Home"
