Kain scanned all the faces in the room. His presence alone demanded respect.

"Twenty two thousand"Kain smirked. All these prices these "drug lords" were trowing out was chump change.

"Twenty eight"Another guy bargained.

No one said anything else.
"Going once going twic-"

"Sixty thousand"Kain topped it. Everyone eyes fell on him.

The connect raised his eyebrow impressed. Kain topped them all by a lot.

"And we have a deal"
The connect wrote something down on the paper then everyone got up.

Kain looked over at Omarion and they dapped each other up.
"We gon flip this shit. We can get at least two hundred thousand off of this. Easy money"

Kain nodded his head stroking his beard. His phone buzzed in his hand and Charmaine number flashed across the screen. He looked at it for a second then decided to decline the call.

"She'll call back later"

Kain put his phone up then looked back at Omarion.

"You ready?"
"Yea let me grab this pink slip. "He said. Kain nodded his head and waited for him. He looked up feeling eyes on him. It was no one other than one of the catering girls who been. Eyeballing him all night.

He looked away. Omarion came back with the paper so they could leave.

Charmaine sat in the club. She had to keep the club in check tonight. Bear was keeping the warehouses  in check while Kain and Omarion was out at a meeting.

Charmaine sat up in the balcony where Kain would normally over see everything.

Charmaine didn't blend in one bit. She wore her favorite jeans with a tank top and a flannel with a dad hat.

That didn't stop guys from trying to get into the VIP area to talk to her.

She had a bottle water sitting infront of her. She was waiting on Kain to show up so she could leave.

"It's packed in here"A guy sat next to her.
She looked at him giving him a small smile.

"Not a talker?"he chuckled
"No"she shook her head tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.

It was going on eleven and Charmaine was getting tired. She was bored and still waiting on Kain to make it back. Omarion had  came by but Charmaine didn't want to leave without seeing Kain.

"You don't play"Omarion laughed.

"I'm going to head out soon if he doesn't show."she sighed.

"Just let me know when and let me know if you need a ride or something"

Charmaine nodded her head and got comfortable in her seat again.

Her favorite song played and she vibed to it in her seat.

She felt a dip in the couch. She crossed her legs scooting over more.

"Glad to know that's how you been dubbing niggas all night "Kain spoke up, he wrapped his arm around her pulling her close. She turned quickly getting a good whiff of his burberry cologne.

Her eyes lit up seeing that he finally made it back

"Finally"

She scooted close to him and wrapped her arms around his neck.

"I missed you "she whispered in his ear. Kain laughed at her baby talk. It was a pet peeve when she did it but he liked it at the same time.

He kissed her cheek and she put her face in the crook of his neck.

Omarion sucked his teeth. Everyone didn't see why they were playing around with each other. It was honestly annoying watching how they interacted with each other But claimed they weren't a thing but, it was no one else place to speak on their relationship.

"You want to come home with me ?"he asked grabbing her hand.  He looked back up seeing a smirk on Omarion face while he pretended to sip his bottle of Ace.

"You sure?"Charmaine asked. She knew Kain liked his privacy. Every time she had came over she never really liked to stay long cause she noticed how he moved a lot of things,and didn't like Charmaine touching his things.

"Positive. Come on"he grabbed her hand leading her out the vip section.

Kain helped Charmaine into the car then he got in himself.
"How was your day?"he asked her backing out the parking lot.

"It was okay. Everything went smooth except Anne and Taylor came in a little late the right before that two of the strippers start arguing so I had to break that up"she said with a light chuckle.

Charmaine continued to ramble on about her day and Kain let her.

"Could you believe that?"
"Nah that shit crazy"he said not really knowing what she was talking about.

"Then this guy wouldn't leave me alone. He kept offering me drinks then trying to start conversation"

"And what you do?"Kain asked.
"I ignored him "

Kain bursted out laughing.
"Oh fo'real?"

"Yup" she said again in her baby voice. She pinched his cheek.

He pushed her hands away.
She finished laughing then got serious.

"No seriously I ignored them"Kain nodded his head running his hands over his waves.

"Have you taken your medicine today?"
"Nah I'm gon' take it when we get back "
"Have you at least been drinking water?"

"Yeah.Thank you though. I ain't really think you was going to look out and remind me"

"Ninety nine point nine percent of the time when I tell you I Will do something... I will do it . "She told him.

"I'm going to hold you to your word"Kain said being semi serious.

"Where Malani been?"he asked after the long silence.
"Tiani keep kidnapping her"Charmaine said looking out the window.

She had actually thought about something Kain has yet to explain to her.

"What are we actually waiting on?"she blurted out.
"What?"Kain asked parking his car in the driveway.

"You said you have to get some stuff together and take care of business before we actually get serious,So what I am asking is what is it that were waiting on?"

Kain reclined his seat folding his arms behind his head
"You want me to be honest?"Kain asked. He was going to be honest either way no matter what she said.

"Please"

"I'm a man... I still got sidelines that I keep around and I got a lot of business with my connects right now so I won't be able to give you the attention that you want or need.
I just brought my own plantation field
With that being said i'm going to be going in and out the country a lot more often until I get the hang of things. Being distracted right now ain't something I need. Right now I rather chill until  after my shit is straight"

"Okay"Charmaine nodded.
"It's always okay with you. Tell me how you feeling for real"

"I don't want to seem like i'm rushing you cause that's the last thing I want to do but I feel like your contradicting yourself. You want to do all these things making it feel like we are together but you don't want to put a ti-"Kain cut her off seeing where he was coming from.

"Cause with that title i'm obliged to tell you all my business vice versa. You gon' want to know where i'm at all the time and
All that."

At that moment she realized how naive and vulnerable she was to Kain.
