"Actually can I get two"

The indian guy behind the counter handed her another backwood and she took it giving him his two dollars. She left out of the store. Moving too fast trying to shove the backwoods in her pockets she dropped it.

Bear was in the middle of a laughing fit with Kain when Tj walked over to Bear tapping him.

"That's her"he nodded his head in her direction
Bear looked at her nodding his head. He was about to say something when he ended up doing a double take.

His eyes weren't playing tricks on him.
He looked over at Kain who had noticed that was Charmaine too.

"You done fucked up"Bear snickered

Charmaine picked her things up. Pushing her hair out of her face her eyes met with another familiar pair.

She knew it was really Kain when she saw Bear right next to him.

Kain eyebrows were knitted while he starred at her.Kain pushed Anastasia from him while he walked over to Charmaine. 

Everyone seemed to be minding their business but they were really eavesdropping to see what was going on.

For some reason Charmaine felt as if she was caught. Maybe it was the way he starred her down

"Come on"Kain nodded his head. She followed him until they were far enough from everyone.

"Why are you over here?"
Charmaine really wanted to tell Kain to mind his business but she couldn't find her self to be rude to him like that.

"I had to grab some stuff"
"I'm just telling you this for your safety. I don't care if the next closes lil market or store is a half hour away. Stay from over here you hear me?"

She nodded her head then she remembered how Kain been acting to her.

He stood there studying her face.
"You know that nigga Tj just want to fuck you right?"Kain said with a smirk.
"No he doesn't "

"I'm telling you now-"

"I don't understand you "she blurted out.
"What don't you understand?"he asked

"Kain!"Bear waved him over.
"We can talk another time"Charmaine said starting to walk away.She didn't feel like talking to him about it right now.

"Come on so I can walk you to the car"
He made sure she got in the car before he spoke up.

"I'll uh hit you up later."
Charmaine didn't say nothing else to him. She looked at him while Kain starred back at her. He could tell she was pissed off.

"Matter of a fact let me ride with you"
"No. I'll see you tomorrow"
Kain got into the car anyway.

"Kain please get out. Besides I think Bear wants you. "

"He can wait "
"Well what is it that you want to talk about?"

"I just want to know what you don't understand "
"You"
"Me?"Kain pretended to be surprised.

"Yes you! We tell each other how were feeling then you start to ignore me, being rude... Then you sit up here and act like your my father asking me why I'm over here. Then now you want to talk to me. After ignoring me for days....Dilusional ass "

Kain didn't understand his self either. He wanted to fall back but he didn't want her talking to nobody else. When he heard TJ got her number it made him jealous.

"Well if you know how you feel and I told you how I feel. Why would you go out giving niggas-"

"Uh it was only one guy"

"Whatever but you still gave him your number "he sat back getting comfortable in his seat.

"If i'm not mistaken you did say "so what i'm gon' do is fall back"that day we had a conversation.  Ever since then you just been ignoring me.Then you posted up with your little thing over there,so in all honesty I don't know what you want. " Charmaine said turning to him.

"Well what is it that you want?"
Kain asked her.
"I want you to stop confusing me."She shrugged

"I just want you to be patient. I just got a lot on my plate and the last thing I need is to be distracted.  "

Charmaine had a  smile on her face. Her second thoughts about Kain not liking her went away.

That was all the confirmation she needed

He was growing to like Charmaine but,he had way too much going on. With him starting a business out of the country soon right now was the wrong time to bw distracted.

"Alright"she looked at him.
Kain smiled back at her then he gave her a once over.

"You got all cute just to come over here to see me"he laughed Changing the subject -She looked down at her clothes.

"No I always change out of my work clothes and I had no Idea you were here "she pushed him.

Anastasia was watching with a few others. She was jealous but she wouldn't let anyone know.

"Look like you ain't hitting that anytime soon"Bear joked with Tj but,Tj waved him off.

"Stasia you look mad as a bitch"Bear teased her.
"That lil hoe ain't got nothing on me"she rolled her eyes.

"You better chill on that. That's family" Bear warned.

"Welp"she shrugged not really caring.

Charmaine pushed Kain back laughing. "Alright that's it"
"One more "
"That's what you said the last three times"
"Alright."he sighed pulling on his beard.

"I'll see you tomorrow"
"I don't have to come in tomorrow"

"I'll still see you tomorrow"
"Okay"
He leaned over giving her a hug before he got out.

Charmaine pulled off in a rush to get back. Her fifteen minute trip ended up being a twenty five minute trip.

In eight minutes she made it back home. The same grin she wore on her face earlier was still on her face. She walked up to her building and seen Malani still drawing while Tiani sat on the step on her phone.

She handed the backwoods over to Tiani while they stood.
"Lani come on" she stood up dusting her hands off.

She walked ahead of them on their way up to her apartment.

"So what the hell got you smiling?"Tiani asked.
Let me put her in the bath then we can talk "

Tiani nodded her head getting her stuff ready to roll up
