"I ain't like that nigga anyway he a bitch if you ask me." Omarion said.
"Yeah well he dead now. Get some of those niggas to clean this shit up. I got checks to put my signature on. "Kain said tiredly.

"Alright man. Bring yo ass out tomorrow night. I'm not staying to close the club "

"Stop bitching that's all you had to say"
"Fuck outta' here "Omarion sucked his teeth. Kain shook his head laughing leaving out.

Now that he killed one of the "Bag boys" he had to hire another one. Now he had to leave and go put his signature on the checks so they could be distributed to his workers.

Before he could pull off one of his security guards came out. Kain and Bear was close. If it wasn't Kain and Omarion it was Kain and Bear.

"Yo?" he dapped him up through the window

"What you getting into fam? "
"Bout to go sign these checks "
"Shit I'm bout to roll with you then. "

"You on the clock?"
"Nigga you know damn well I wouldn't be out here if I was on the clock"he scrunched up his face.

"Aight come on then"

"You tired?"Charmaine looked over at Malani. "No"she shook her head from side to side. Now that Charmaine had filled out the checks all she had to do was wait for Kain to sign them. She decided to get a head start on her work for tomorrow.
She looked at the clock seeing It was going on seven thirty at night.
"I remember your friend"Malani said out the blue
"What are you talking about ?"
"The day daddy found us and I fell and hit my head. Your friend helped me. "
"What do you mean help"
"He picked me up"
Charmaine knew what she was talking about. She just didn't think Malani would remember.

"Here put these on that desk over there"Malani took the papers doing as told. Two minutes later she cleaning up and Kain walked in with another man.

"Hi!" Malani jumped up. Kain smiled at her. Unexpectedly she wrapped her arms around him.
Charmaine was stunned as to why. Malani was the quiet type. She didn't open up to many. She was friendly,but you had to get to know her.

"The hell is going on down here?" Bear asked. Kain looked at Bear side eyeing him. He had gotten the wrong impression.

"Cool out on that?"
Bear smirked at him taking a quick glance at Charmaine who was putting her jacket on.
"She just my assistant"
"She use to be the bottle girl right?" Kain nodded grabbing a pen to sign off on checks.

"When I'm finished this we can all go home "he looked up at her. They locked eyes. Starring at him Charmaine felt something she never felt before. Her palms were getting sweaty. She wanted to look away but couldn't. Kain seen it all in Charmaine beautiful brown eyes. The pain and the hurt. Meanwhile Charmaine saw nothing. She seen nothing in his eyes that appeared to be dark and cold. He held no emotion behind them. With Charmaine it was always easy reading her. She wore her heart on her sleeve.

"So what's your name?" Bear asked sitting on Charmaine desk with his hands in his lap.

"Charmaine"
"I like that name"he flashed her his signature smile. Bear was a dark skin husky guy with a taper. He had a million dollar smile and he was beyond charming.

"Thank you"
"What's shorty name over there?"he asked now getting comfortable in the seat beside her. Kain rolled his eyes. Malani stood beside him asking a million and one questions. Malani was just innocent and quiet amusing with her babbling.
"Do you have amy kids"Malani asked."Nah"he shook his head.
"What's your favorite animal?"

" A Lion. What about yours?"
"Monkeys"she squealed."
"A Monkey?"

"So that's your only kid over there?" Bear said licking his pink lips.

Charmaine didn't think nothing of it. She was actually being "bland" with Bear. She was being a tough cookie. She didn't really care to talk to him. It was just her being friendly.

"Yeah so if you want to extange nu-"
"No thank you"she laughed putting her hand out.
"Oh you on your lightskin shit. Should have known. Well let me tell you something about us dark...dark hershey kiss black brothas'-"
"Shut the f..Freak up"Kain said not wanting to curse in front of Malani.
"You a hater ass nigga"Bear said loud enough only for the three to hear. Malani was now across the room entertained by the TV.

"Hater ass nigga?"Kain laughed so did Charmaine. She cracked a smile. This was the biggest smile Kain ever gotten out of her.

"Yea you a hater ass nigga"
"That's cool,and you a retarded ass nigga"Kain said. Bear smile faded away and was replaced by a mug.
Kain on the other hand was laughing hard at his own joke Charmaine took the time to admire his smile. When he composed himself he looked at her funny. "Why you always starring?" her face scrunched up in embarrassment. "Excuse me?"
"Why.Are.You.Always.Starring. "
She rolled her eyes now embarssed,Annoyed and upset.
"Don't flatter yourself"she rolled her eyes.

Kain was blunt. There wasn't a fake bone in his body. He wasn't going to beat around the bush or sugar code it.
"I could only feel flattered by the way you stare at me."
"Are you finished so I can go home now?"
"Yeah"
She didn't say nothing more. She grabbed her belongings then told Malani to get her things.
"You wan-"
Bear began to offer.
"No"she spat. Kain always found a way to piss her off or get under her skin.
"You should clean up that nasty additude you have. Ain't no reason to be upset right now"Kain said knowing it would get under her skin.
She said nothing else to him. She clenched her jaw waiting for Malani to zipper her jacket up.

Once Charmaine left Bear sat across from Kain.
"Why you do her like that?"
"She weird as shit"
"She cute though" Bear said. Kain twisted up his face leaning over his desk."Nigga did you just say Cute? What the fuck are you? A six year old?"
"Man I'm just saying. She fine"
Kain couldn't disagree. Char was beautiful.
"You wouldn't talk to her?"Bear asked. Kain shook his head.
"Nah. She got too much luggage. She far from my type and I don't want no relationship with females I work with. "

"Shit I don't mind being step daddy "Bear joked. Bear wasn't really flirting with Charmaine. He often flirts with a lot of females just fucking around.

Charmaine Kicked her shoes off by the door."Can we still build a fort?"
"Yes but no TV. "Malani didn't mind;Maybe Charmaine would play barbies with her.

After Charmaine got Lani in and out the tub she got in. When she was finished they waited on the pizza Charmaine ordered. While they waited Charmaine finished her hygiene routine then helped Malani build a fort.

Moments like this were the ones Charmaine cherished. She finally was living how she wanted to.
