Charmaine sighed laying her head back. Repeating the same thing over and over was getting tiring.
"Don't stop now you almost finished" Kain said. They been driving all around Maryland going to different warehouses and she was tired.

She wrote down the total all together in the small notepad Kain had given her and counted the last little bit.

"I'm hungry as shit "Kain more so said to himself. The thought of food made Charmaine stomach growl.

"You like soul food?"
Charmaine sucked her teeth scrunching her face up.
"Who doesn't "
"Well you married to a.
White bastard who's fucking racist but some how ya'll ended up together... Confused ass I don't know what the fuck you like "

"Not that I have to explain my self to you or anyone else ,but that was a fucked up predicament I didn't choose to be in. That was forced "She said
Her voice was filled with anger and annoyance.

"Nobody asked for all that additude I was messing around"
"Nobody asked for your slick comments " she mumbled back. The rest of the ride was quiet. Kain was just messing around and she went killing the vibe.

Instead of going to get something to eat he was just going to drop her off. He no longer wanted to be around her.

"Where do you live?"He asked her.
"Chestnut hill " Kain knew exactly where that was at. He lived there for about a year. Before Kain actually began to 'get his hands dirty' his father humbled him. At a early age of sixteen his father kicked Kain out forcing him to work for his money. Everything Kain once had living with his parents he no longer had. Every meal from there on out Kain had to get on his own. He payed his own rent and bills. After that year went by his father invited him to come back home ,but under the conditions he had to pay to live there just like he was renting from a stranger. Kain was well off then. He was able to do better and bigger things on his own by the age of seventeen on going eighteen.

Kain just had a hard time believing Charmaine lived there. Chestnut hill is a place where they put everyone who uses section eight.

Even though Charmaine was not dressed in designer or dressed to impress she just didn't look like a type of person to live in that neighborhood at least three times a week there's a shooting on that block.

Kain was tired. He wasn't even halfway finished the days work, and it was seven at night.
Charmaine already explained to him that she had a daughter and couldn't be working late hours. He was willing to pay her extra but that would be selfish towards Malani.

He felt bad for the little girl. Her father abuses them from what Kain saw. Then seeing her mother was desperate for a job trying to provide for them.

He cruised down the dark streets in Baltimore. Kain was ready to eat and go home himself. That wasn't the case though. He had to go check up on his corner boys and pull names for his father about this Jamaican guy.

"Which complex?"
"F"She said with her head Against the window. She could now feel herself become tired.
She moved the bags of money ready to get out the car. He pulled up to her building putting the car in park .
"Thank you,and sorry if I upset you or whatever."
Kain shrugged not really paying attention. He was caught up in his thoughts.
"Aight see you tomorrow "he said before she shut the door. Charmaime nodded walking into the building. Kain pulled off and she left out. She wasn't gonna tell Kain Exactly what building she lived in. She lived two buildings down living in building H.

Tiani was helping put Malani bed together. With her recent pay check she went out and brought Malani a bed frame since she already had a mattress.

Charmaine didn't get paid today so most likely tomorrow Kain would pay her. Charmaine sat her belongings down and kicked off her shoes. She didn't want to run her heat bill up so she brought a heater for the house.

"How was your day ?"
"Stressful" Tiani knows jobs like that could be tiring. After all he brother does partially own a club and he always talked about the stress.

"Yeah you know Omarion work at a club too. He always be complaining about that shit. "

Charmaine doubted Omarian worked at a club. When they were younger and used to hang out he use to sell dope... Maybe he is trying to turn her life around she thought.

"Foreal?" Charmaine asked
"Yeah. I believe he work at the same club as you " Tiani knew Omarion did dirty work and owned the club. She just wasn't gonna mention all of his business like that.

"Wow. There's not many guys who work there so I might have seen him. He still look the same?"

"Oh no...Mari done glowed up. Remember his little bird chest and he always fucked his hair line up with razor blades? That Marion don't exist anymore."

"I don't believe that "Charmaine laughed. Tiani went through her phone trying to find a picture to show Charmaine

"Look" Charmaine walked over to her taking her phone. Marion doesn't work there... He owns the place she thought.

"He's one the owner"Charmaine said.
"Yeah" Tiani said.
"I knew he looked familiar "
"You must know Kain fine ass too"Tiani joked
She had knew Kain for years.

The only thing they have done together was go to prom. Kain was already graduated but he didn't mind it. That was his homie little sister who was crying cause she didn't have a date. After that they remained friends.

Charmaine was still thinking about Kain. He was the finest man she'd ever laid eyes on. He put other men to shame.

"Oohh let me find out sis you know them south niggas slang good Di-"
"Tiani!"Charmaine laughed
