"Say word"Kain grinned leaning forward in his seat. Bear sat across from him with the same smile on his face.

"On the dead homies"Bear confirmed.
"Damn congrats man"Kain held his hand out. Bear embraced him in a brotherly hug.

"How you feel? You bout to be somebody pops."Kain asked. He never thought Bear would be the one to slip up.
"Man I'm ready. A young nigga been wanting to settle down and shit. Tiani getting her shit together, I mean why not."
Kain nodded his head stroking his beard. "Who next you or-"
"Man...Char Ain't wit it."Kain smirked. No matter how hard he tried Charmaine was on top of her shit. She made sure she had birth control or plan B.

"Damn but I mean you gotta think about it this way....she not even twenty yet she probably don't want no baby right now. Let her finish school,get her career started then she might reconsider it."Bear told him.
Kain could only agree.

Carlos knocked on Kain office door before coming in.
"Yo"He walked around the table dapping Kain then Bear.

"What's good? I ain't seen you in a grip"Bear spoke. Last time he seen Carlos was some years ago.
"I been living that's all but listen keep a eye on that young nigga Josh"he said becoming serious. Kain's demeanor changed quickly.

"What you mean?"he sat up straight.
"One nem' lil niggas from the south  was his lil homie or whatever. They seem way too cool.

"Aight good look"Kain scratched his beard.
"Aight the warehouse and shit cool. I'm out."Carlos threw his hands up.
"You got you a lil bitch already?"Bear laughed. He knew his mans all too well.

"Do I? This lil shawty from the hill bad as shit."
"The hills? I hope you ain't messing with one of them lil dirty hoes. I know one too many up that way"Kain shook his head.

"Sha'rayiah?"
"Noooo'" Bear laughed.
"She hit man. Ask any nigga in here. Almost everybody ran through her but I mean to each it's own.

Charmaine shut Malani door then grabbed her hand as they walked through the parking lot.

She wanted to find nice outfits for valentines day. Charmaine was anxious to see what Kain had planned
He was always going out the way or doing something extra for them.

"I hate shopping"Malani whined. Charmaine knew she was a shop-a-holic ,but she knew Malani whole additude would change after she seen some things she liked.

Charmaine held her hand up thanking the driver for letting her cross the street. They lightly jogged on to the sidewalk.

He phone rang as they walked through the double doors. She let Malani hand go but kept an eye on her.

"Hello?"
"Where you at baby?"Kain voice came though the phone.
"At the mall why?"she frowned.
"I thought we was going out"Kain said.

Charmaine had forgotten that Kain was suppose to take her out for lunch today. With her being caught up in her own plans she forgot.

"Dang-I ended up going to the mall. I for-"

"It's cool"Kain told her. He wasn't really pressed. He had extra time on his hands.

"Can you meet me here?"Charmaine asked as she guided Malani into the show store.
"Yeah give me twenty minutes."

"Alright,be safe"

Charmaine hung up stuffing her phone back into her purse.  She picked up a pair of Alexander Wang boots. She knew they were running almost four thousand dollars. They were nice but she wasn't spending that much on a pair of mediocre looking boots.

"Hi, my name is Jenna let me know if there is anything I can help you with.""a sales associate said.
Charmaine nodded her head. She looked around for Malani who disappeared quickly.

She maneuvered through the racks of clothing.

"Malani!"Charmaine called out.
"I'm right here."
Charmaine turned around quickly to see Kain carrying Malani on his back.

She was relieved,"when did you get here? You said twenty minutes"Charmaine smiled.

"I was at my office. It's not that far"he said letting Malani down.
"Aw."Charmaine smiled walking into his open arms. Kain wrapped his arms around her lower back holding her tight.

"I missed you "she said in between kisses. Kain couldn't lie and say he didn't feel the same way even though they spent the whole morning together.

"Did you?"Kain grinned holding her tighter.
"Yeah"Charmaine admitted.
"I missed you too"Kain kissed her forehead. He let Charmaine go to pick Malani up as they left the store.

While Malani was talking to Kain Charmaine led the way to the jewelry store. She wanted Kain to get her another tennis bracelet.

Charmaine noticed how other females were hawking Kain it didn't bother heR. At the end of the day all they could do was stare. He was he man and HER man only.

"Where we going?"Kain asked
"I want another bracelet."She grabbed his hand.
"Ooh can I have one"Malani asked. Charmaine knew Malani would want one too.

Charmaine walked into the store with Kain following behind her. He sat on one of the leather seats while Charmaine looked through the glass case.

All the diamonds and other jewles were so beautiful.

"Hi,can I help you?"a lady from behind the counter asked. She was dressed up in all black with her hair in a neat bun.

"Um no not right now,but i'll let you know if I see anything."Charmaine smiled politely.

Kain was on his phone looking for suites to book for valentines day. He wanted to to all out for Charmaine.  He looked up between his phone and Charmaine. His phone began to vibrate in his hand.

It was Omarion. He had just left the ware house,so for Omarion to be calling it had to be something personal or serious.

"Go with your mom real quick"Kain told Malani. He waited for Malani to go over to Charmaine before stepping out the store so he could take his call.

"Yo?"He leaned against the glass window.
"You need to get down here quick! Some shit done popped off Bear got hit"Omarion said all at once
He sounded out of breath

"Fuck you mean Bear got hit. How h-"
"Get down here right now!"Omarion said.

Kain ended the call. Just when he was ready to relax shit popped off again.

Kain put his phone away then walked back into the store. Charmaine was talking with the jeweler.

"Yeah I really like that one. Kain loo-"
"We got to go right now. You can come back some other time. Business just came up."Kain told her lowly.
As bad as Charmaine wanted to question him she didn't.

She grabbed Malani hand and led her out the store,"is everything okay?"she asked Kain.

"I don't e ven know to be honest"Kain answered him.
"Just don't stress your self out"Charmaine told him. Kain slowly nodded her head. He would never let the pressure fold him.

Kain held the door open for Charmaine.

"Look do me a favor. Don't go home. Drive straight to my pops house and stay there. I'll come and pick y'all up later.

Kain told her as they walked the parking lot. Kain wanted to make sure the got in the car safely.

Tiani called Charmaine but she declined the call. Too much was on her mind at the moment.

Kain strapped Malani in her booster seat.
"Aight. I love y'all. Imma call you later."Kain told them.

He was just hoping Josh and his lil friend didn't do nothing stupid that may have cost them their life.
