It was the day before Christmas eve and everybody was lounging around Kain house,but little did they know everybody was about to get up out of his shit.

Charmaine was braiding Tiani hair and Omarion and Bear was playing 2k. While Malani was gone and Kain was smoking in his room.

"How many more do you got?"Tiani touched her head.

"Two more"she huffed parting her hair. Her fingers were starting to cramp up.

"Char!"Kain yelled from the top of the stairs.

Charmaine ignored him. If it was important he would come down and see her.

Charmaine was half way down braiding when she felt her nail broke
"Freak!"she jumped up holding her finger.

"What happened?"

"Char!"Kain called her again.
"My nail broke"

"Damn. I know that shit hurt... I got it from here"she stood up going into the bathroom.

Charmaine walked up the stairs going to the bathroom to take care of her finger.

"What took you so long?"Kain asked.
"My nail broke"she pouted looking down at her hand.

"You aight? You want me to see if that Chinese lady can come fix it?"

"No. I was suppose to go get my refill tomorrow anyway. What did you want?"Charmaine asked as Kain followed her in the bathroom.

"I just wanted to see you real quick"he leaned against the door frame.
"For what though?"

"Cause....."he smiled. Charmaine could tell he was high already.

Charmaine looked under the cabinet for a bandaid.

"They still down there?"
"Yeah why?"

"They need to get the fuck up outta here. Imma tryna chill baby"he smiled again

"You ain't trying to chill. What you really trying to do?"Charmaine smirked walking towards him.
"You already know"he touched the side of her face stroking it.

Kain stared in Charmaine eyes even though she tried to look away many times.

"I love you"
"I love you too...you acting weird are you about to break up with me or so-"

"Come on man. If I was to break up with you why would I tell you I love you? We ain't ever breaking up no way"Kain told her.

A forever type of thing sounded real nice. It reminded Charmaine she needed to go up to the court house to get her last name changed back and see how the whole widowed thing worked. Griff was gone for good. Charmaine wanted to act like that part of her life never took place but she couldn't . what was done has been done.

"I got something for you though"Kain let her hand go and walked around the bed to his night stand.

He grabbed the rectangle box. He brought her a nice necklace that had his name on it. There were real diamonds encrusted in it too.

"Here open this"Kain handed the box over to Charmaine. She examined the box like she was expecting some sort of surprise before she removed the lid. It was the golden name plate with the glistening diamonds.

"I just really want to let you know I appreciate the shit you be doing for me. " Charmaine only felt as if she was doing the normal girlfriend duties.

What Charmaine didn't know was Kain had relationships when he was danm near falling in love with a gold digging hoe. They didn't stress him to take his medicine,make sure he made it places safely,cooked,stress him to call them to make sure nothing happened to him and all that . All Chyna and the rest other females were worried about was the money. His personality or looks didn't even matter. He had the money to get what they desired and that's all that mattered.

Kain was trying to give his all to a hoe who could care less. That's why he appreciated Charmaine so much. She was solid and genuine and that's all Kain needed.

"Don't take this shit off. Everybody gonna know who you with"Kain added.

"Awe,Thank you baby"Charmaine smiled ear to ear. If she was walking around with Kain name on her she was damn sure going to let it be known who he's with.

"Put it on me" Charmaine handed it over to him. Kain stood behind her trying to get the necklace on.

"On Wednesday I think I'm going to go to the court house to get my last name changed back"

"Whoa baby I ain't say nothing bout marrying-"

"Ain't nobody doing this for you. I owe this to myself and you should be glad I'm changing my last name back"Charmaine snaked her neck while pointing her finger at Kain.

It was funny to him watching her snap. The way she moved her neck,rolled her eyes and everything else just didn't suit her personality.

"I was just messing around. Why ain't you think to get that changed before?"
"I never really thought about it until now"she shrugged.

After they were finished sharing a brief intimate moment both of them walked down stairs. Omarion and Bear was wrapping their game up and Tiani was lurking through pages on Instagram.

"Y'all been here to long. Get the fuck out"Kain pointed his thumb towards the door

"I was on my way out anyway?"Tiani scrunched her face up.
"Aight why you still in here with ya bald headed ass"Kain joked. The way he joked came off serious but,everyone knew he was kidding.

He wouldn't talk Tiani that way. That was like his little sister.

"My baby Ain't bald head "Bear stood up stretching.
"Tsk...."Kain scratched his head looking down at his lap.

"I'm out mane"Omarion announced.
"Aight.I'll hit you later."
"Aight see y'all " Omarion was in his way to Emily house. He wasn't really feeling her how he began too. Something was off but who was he to decline free sex?

After everyone said their bye's Charmaine went in the kitchen to check on the pot roast she been cooking. It was coming along well.

Kain sat next to Malani who was shifting in her sleep. Maybe whenever they decided to take the NEXT step in their relationship he would want to adopt Malani as his daughter. 

Kain already did for her as if she was his anyway.

Charmaine looked down at her gold plated necklace. This was one of the most valuable gifts she had received romantically.

-I seen some of y'all saying Charmaine was tripping when they broke up.. Let me say I ain't like these other authors who take offense to that stuff BUT I will say y'all gotta see it from her perspective

She was with Griff and we all knew what happened between them. Physical and mental abuse...

Now she's with Kain and that scene where they broke up wasn't the only time he said some crazy shit.  Yea she pissed him off by mumbling stuff BUT he didn't have to talk to her like that considering what she already been through.

A part Kain character is portrayed by the kind of person who is easly annoyed and short temper and he always ends up taking it out on Charmaine. The reason she broke up with him is cause she felt he needed to come to realization that what he was doing wasn't cool & eventually drive her away. So cut her a break or how ever that saying go💀💀

Maybe I should have put more thought into that chaper
