Memories Of Past

Scene 1: 1:00am,

At night, A man having an age of nearly 59 years, sitting in the study of his room reading a book. He was trying to concentrate but his mind was thinking in some other direction.

Man (to himself): No! I can't let this happen. Both of them are sinking in the memories of their past. They are destined to be together. But they are running away from the reality. They are going in the opposite direction separating their path forever. All this happened because of me. I have to do something. I can't wait anymore otherwise, everything will be destroyed forever.

Then, He receives a call and becomes shocked of news, he heard. But after thinking for a while, he smiles as if he got the solution for both of his problems.

Scene 2: 3:00 am:

At the same night, A handsome man in his late twenties, standing in the window of his room and sipping coffee. He was looking as if he has not slept peacefully for years. There was coldness on his face but his eyes were showing pain and anger at the same time. He was remembering someone of his past. Remembering her sparkly eyes, her laughing face, her naughtiness and suddenly, the moment of her betrayal came in his mind and he threw away the cup of coffee on the floor with full anger.

Vansh (angrily): How can you do this!!! Why I became so blind to not see your reality??? How can I trust You when Vansh RaiSinghania can't even trust his own shadow!!!

Then, He calmed himself and said with pain in his eyes,

Vansh: Ghalti tumhari nhi k tumne mujhe dhoka diya. Ghalti meri hai...K mene tumhen mauka diya.( Its not your mistake that you betrayed me. It is my mistake that I gave you a chance) Dhoka tumhari fitrat men tha( betrayal was in your nature) or fitrat kbhi ni badal skti...(Nature can never change)...

He received A call from someone named Angre, he picked up the call,

Vansh: Yeah! Angre!

Angre: Vansh! Are you Alright? You seem worried.

Vansh: You know it very well Angre but I think You have not called for asking about me. Speak. What is it? ( he asked in serious mood)

Angrey: Actually, there is a good news for you. Sia has called me as she thought You would be sleeping. She informed me that she is coming back to India and will be at home tomorrow.

Suddenly, A glow came on Vansh's face and he started smiling.

Vansh: Angrey, She is coming home after 6 years after completing her MBBS. I want her to be welcomed in the best way possible and You know I can't accept anything less than perfect.

Angrey: I know Vansh. I have already started preparations and Sejal is helping me in this as she is best in this work. And Dadi...

Vansh: No No. Don't tell anything to her. We will give a surprise to her and Ishani. They will be so much happy.

Angrey ( hesitation in his voice): Va...Vansh!

Vansh: Anything else Angrey?

Angrey: Do You need another cup of coffee? ( As if he knows that he would have thrown it in frustration)

Vansh ( Turning serious again): No, I don't. You understand me so well Angrey. But why I couldn't understand her? After all these years, still her memories, her betrayal affects me so much. She has destroyed me completely. And she!! She would be living happily planning to betray someone else.

Then, the scene shifts to another place where a girl in her mid twenties, is sleeping in her bedroom. She was sweating while sleeping as if she was having a nightmare. Her expression were showing fear and pain. In her nightmare, she saw herself being pushed and a voice of man shouting came from behind, " Get out!!! You don't deserve me. I don't want to see your face EVER AGAIN!! You are a blo*dy cheater!!!! " Then, She sees someone being shot in front of her, and she wakes up shouting,

Riddhima: No!!!!!!!

She was sweating from head to toe and breathing heavily. She had tears in her eyes but she didn't let them came out and tried to pacify herself.

The scene shifted again to the place where Vansh and Angrey were talking.

Angrey: Vansh! Its been 5 years since she left. Tomorrow, Sia is coming and if She sees you like this, she will ask the reason. And , I know you don't want her to know about Riddhima. So, please don't hurt yourself. You should sleep now. Tomorrow is a big day for us. Right?

Vansh: Yeah You're right Angrey, ( Taking a deep breath to remove the thoughts of his mind) Good night!

Angrey: Good night!

Then, the scene again shifts to the room of Riddhima. She was taking deep breaths to calm herself when someone knocked on her door.

Riddhima: Come in.

A lady came in. She looked worried and came near Riddhima.

Riddhima: Mrs. D'Souza! You here?

Mrs. D'Souza: Riddhima! Are u Ok? I heard you shouting.

Then, she realized that Riddhima was sweating. She immediately took a glass of water from her side table and gave it to Riddhima. Riddhima drank the water and said,

Riddhima: I am fine. Don't worry.

Mrs. D'Souza: Do you need something?

Riddhima: Aaaa, Sorry to disturb you but I am having headache. I am going to take a shower. Can you please bring me a cup of coffee?

Mrs. D'Souza: Sure Riddhima. But shower at this hour? You already remain stressed and If u don't take care of your health then how will you manage other things.

Riddhima: it's completely ok. Don't worry. Koi Drd esa nhi hai jo Mujhe tod ske. Yeh sb Rastey k kaantey hain,....chubhtey zroor hain pr mujhe rok ni skte. ( there is no pain in the world that can shatter me. These are all the thorns of the path. They surely pierce through the skin but they can't stop me.)

Saying this, she left to take shower and Mrs. D'Souza went to make coffee.

After sometime, At dawn, Riddhima was standing at the terrace looking at the rising sun. She was drinking coffee and thinking:

Riddhima: Life is unpredictable. I had never ever though in my wildest imaginations that my life would come at this point where there is nothing except pain, hatred and betrayal. Nothing haunts me more than my past. I lost my self-respect that day when I begged him to forgive me. I had lost the wish of living and then, They came in my life. I tried to start a new life but little did I knew about the storm coming again in my life. And today, I am just living for you(looking towards the sky). I will not let your sacrifice go in waste. (In anger) I will take revenge and I am ready to go beyond limits for that.

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

Next day, at 9:00am, In VR Mansion,

Angrey was sitting in the living room waiting for Vansh to come. Another girl was also sitting at another sofa.

A maid came downstairs holding broken pieces of a cup in her hand. Looking at her, the girl asked the maid,

Girl: Did you got it from Vansh bhai's room?

The maid nodded in yes and she looked towards Angrey in anger.

Angrey who was observing all this, said to her,

Angrey: Calm down Ishani, If he is not showing, it doesn't means that he has forgotten her. Its great that he still cares about all of you and showing his anger on these cups rather than all of us.

Ishani: How can U expect me to calm down. That girl has snatched his happiness . He is broken to the core. Why is she so important that he is punishing himself because of her till now. I hope she suffers from the same pain that she has given to bhai. Even death is small punishment for her.

Ishani!!!!! A loud voice came from behind.

Ishani: Dadi!!!!

Dadi: I have not given you such upbringing that you curse someone so badly. If your parents were alive then they would be extremely upaet with you.

Ishani: Oh please Dadi! You know everything still u always try to justify her in front of all of us. She is not that deserving Dadi.

Suddenly, Vansh who was listening everything, came and angrily said,

Vansh: Enough Ishani!!! What is this tone to talk with Dadi. Don't cross your limits. Apologize!!!! NOW!!!!

Ishani (sensing the anger in her voice): I am sorry Dadi. I am sorry that I have hurt You.

Dadi: Its Ok beta. (Eyeing Vansh) Dil k rishton ki dor itni kamzor ni hoti k zra se jhatkey se toot jae. ( The string of relations of heart is not so weak to break by a minor jerk)

She said this as if she was saying it to Vansh indirectly and Vansh has understood that this was said for him about Riddhima. He controlled himself and diverted the topic saying

Vansh: So now, I have a surprise for all of you. I wanted to disclose it at her arrival but now It is needed to tell you this right now. The surprise is that Sia is coming back today, her flight will land at 12:00 pm and till then, I and Angrey will be back from our meeting. Sejal is looking after the arrangements, She will receive her from airport and will be here at 1:30pm.

After listening to this, Ishani started glowing with joy and happiness and same is the case of Dadi.

Ishani: Oh my God! I have missed her so much Bhai. I am going to prepare something for her arrival.

Vansh: wait Ishani! I have not completed yet.

Ishani stopped.

Vansh: I have told you all this because I want you all to bury this topic of Riddhima. Sia doesn't know anything about Riddhima as she was studying abroad at that time. So, I don't want anyone to even take her name in front of Sia. She should not know anything about my past as she was depressed when she went abroad. I don't want her to again get depressed because of me. Nobody will talk about Riddhima in this house from now on otherwise... He will have to face the worst.

Dadi: You are right Vansh. It will be the best for her. She became so much depressed after the death of Ajay( father of Vansh, Ishani and Sia). I am glad that you took the decision of sending her abroad for studies to change her mind state. And Look today, She is coming back as a doctor fulfilling the wish of her father. Vansh! I am so proud of you. You have fulfilled every wish of your father. You are the best Vansh!

Ishani: Han bhai! Thank You so much for everything.

Vansh just smiled as a reply.

Dadi hugged Vansh and Ishani. Then, She eyed Angrey who was standing their smiling at the happy moment.

Dadi: Should I invite you separately to join this hug?

Angrey came and hugged them.

Angrey: Dadi! Your eyes are enough as an invitation.

Dadi smilingly give a light slap on head. Breaking the hug, Vansh said,

Vansh: Lets go Angre. We will be late and If we didn't reach on time, Sia would not leave me easily.

After that, Vansh left with Angrey. Ishani went to kitchen to prepare something for Sia and Dadi came to her room.

In Dadi's room,

Dadi (to herself): Riddhima! I don't know why you did all that. You were like a daughter for me. You have made a place in my heart with your care and love. And I don't know why this love doesn't let me accept the fact that you cheated him and all of us. Its been 5 years, I have not seen you nor did you ever tried to contact anyone of us but still my heart longs to meet you and never allows me to hate you like others.

The same morning in RS (Riddhima Shah) Mansion:

Riddhima came downstairs wearing navy blue denim jeans and white office shirt with a navy blue blazer in her hand. She eyed Aryan and Kabir who were waiting for breakfast on the dining table. She checked the time and giving a frustrated anger look, she came and stand opposite side of the table facing them. Aryan saw her standing and immediately put off his phone and said,

Aryan: Good Morning Ma'am.( Though they consider each other as brother and sister but Aryan and Kabir Always call them as Ma'am out of respect and she being senior to them in profession but sometimes "Riddhima" too.)

Riddhima (in serious mood): Good morning Aryan! Can I know the reason of both you being here till now?

Aryan (jokingly): There was no special work today Ma'am. And The files that You have given to us, We have already checked them at night and emailed you all the details. So, Today, we decided to take a holiday and watch a movie. Wanna join?( He knows that she never watches movies but he said to tease her)

Riddhima: Oh really? Are you both out of your mind? Who permitted you take off today?

Aryan: Oho Ma'am! Take a chill pill. Why u become an angry bird all the time? You should also enjoy life like us. Today, I will show you how to flirt with a girl. Oho why would you flirt with a girl. Lets Just imagine you start flirting with Maya, our hospital receptionist. She will go mad as she already looks you like she is in love with you.

He started laughing. Kabir also looked up laughing but observing her serious expressions, he became quiet. He hit Aryan with his elbow to signal him. Aryan also stopped laughing. Both looked at Frustrated Riddhima and waited for her to scold them.

Riddhima: Are u both done laughing on your stupid jokes? If yes, then please just leave and go to the office ASAP. Its already late and apart from the files that I have given you, I have also asked you to give me the reports of finance departments. And also, You are going to stay at the hospital for the whole day as I am not coming today. And yes, Please No Flirting, No mess Making. I don't wanna receive complaints from other doctors regarding both of you. Specially You Aryan.

Aryan: That's not going to happen Ma'am. You know us, How hardworking and committed we are when it comes to work.

Riddhima(trying to be polite using a sarcastic tone): yes I know both of U very well. That's why, I am saying this. I can expect maturity from Kabir when it comes to work but You.. Naahhh... And Kabir You...

Kabir nodded as he understood from her expressions that she expects form him and he should not disappoint. He asked,

Kabir: Are You going somewhere?

Riddhima: yeah. Actually, Dad has called me today for something important. Maybe for a new mission. I am going there and don't call me. I will be back when the work will be done.

Kabir and Aryan: Ok Ma'am. Take care. But?...

Riddhima as if knowing what they are going to ask, replied cutting them in between,

Riddhima: I will take something in the way to eat. I am getting late now can't join you for breakfast.

Aryan (murmurs): Good Bye Angry Bird! Let the enjoyment begin!

Riddhima(loud): I Heard it!

Saying so she left. And Mrs. D'Souza served them breakfast. They got ready and went to the hospital.
