You and Laxus were fairly new to the whole dating stuff and you are quite shy about expressing your feelings; blush is the most seen colour on your face when around Laxus and he really adores it. Valentines day is getting close, 3 days away and you have no idea what to do. You were leaning on the counter across Mira while she did things around.

"Having troubles y/n?"

"Plenty"

"Need assistance?"

"Oh yes please, what do I give a g-guy for V-Valentines day?" You stuttered a bit thinking about Laxus and your gifting problem.

"Something you can see him use or what he needs orrrr some food?"

"I don't know.. it's so complicated.." you sigh and place your forehead on the bar counter. Somehow you managed to fall asleep so the time flew fast.

You woke up when a hand poked your shoulder so you rose to see who it is. Still groggy you face Laxus and his worries expression.

"Everything alright y/n?"

"Of course! I just fell asleep for a moment, not that I had planned it"

"If you want to sleep I can take you home-"

"No need, this was my power nap and in fact, I have things to do in the city." You showed your best smile trying to sound confident so he doesnt question you about your plans.

"Okay if you say so, I'll stay here if you need me"

You gave a short 'okay' and slided from the chair but before you went away he caught you and gave a peck on your cheek.

You blushed as hell but a pleasant one, you still cant get used to this but you crave for Laxus fairly often.

After that you spent hours trying to find a perfect gift for him, visited a bunch of stores and cool, small items you think he would like to have.

Most of the times you looked at various kinds of chocolate but nothing that says "hey Laxus, this is from me and you won't ever get this kind of chocolate from someone else".

All chocolate was smth casual, just for a tradition of being gifted, not even expensive ones whose prices gave you a headache were special enough and you are no talent for cooking on your own.

A day passed, and another one.. until it was already the morning of the Valentines day and you were supposed to gift Laxus in a few minutes after you leave your house.

After all the search for chocolate or items your mind became more wicked, desperate in need to find a great gift so what you came up was the last straw you thought of as normal, not even considering others may laugh because as I said... you are dead inside from all the search 💀

You came to the guild and walked with full confidence that your gift is the most appropriate for him. You walked over to the table where the Thunder Legion was sitting and you put your gift on full display for Laxus to see.

Laxus at first didn't catch why you were standing there so annoyed with the silence you say:

"Happy Valentines, your gift is me!"

Laxus blushed and hid his melted face with a hand but he really liked your cute attitude and went out of your way. He guessed you didn't have anything else to gift but even if the gift wad cheap he loved it, because your cute head thought of it!

He stood up, gave you a tight hug and a passionate kiss.

"Y/n, my gift tastes sweeter than a chocolate, I hope to get same gift next year"
