The New Kid

Marinette was currently running to school. Her feet were aching slightly because of how fast she was going and the fact that she never stopped to take a break.

Her purse clicked open. "Marinette, why are you running?" Tikki asked, poking her head out.

"Because, Tikki, I'm late, as always!" Marinette responded between pants, a stressed look on her face, "It's basically a routine now!"

"Let's see," Tikki said, cautiously sneaking into Marinette's backpack to get her phone, making sure no one was looking. The kwami finally reached it. "You're nowhere near late Marinette. It's 8:35." Tikki said, putting the phone back and flying back to Marinette's purse.

Okay, so, how does Marinette manage to not get to school on time if her school starts at 8:45 AM. For me, you need to be in homeroom by 8:10 AM and classes start at 8:15 AM. What the heck, Croissant Girl.

"Really? Oh." Marinette said, slowing down. The tiny creature giggled and clicked the purse shut to take a nap, now that Marinette wasn't moving as much. Once Marinette reached her school Alya had already ran up to her.

"Girl, congratulations! You're not late!" Alya informed. "For once." she mumbled the last part, but she was loud enough for Marinette to hear.

"Haha, very funny," Marinette replied, sarcastically. But, she was proud of herself for being around ten minutes early.

"Anyways, guess what? I just got the latest gossip from Rose. She said that there's a new kid coming today. I can't wait! Maybe they know something about Ladybug and Chat Noir. But probably not. Do you think I should interview them for the Ladyblog?" While Alya kept on rambling about the new student, Marinette only had one thought in mind.

What are they going to be like?

"Marinette!"

Marinette jumped. A perky, high-pitched voice had called her.

"Oh, hey Rose." Marinette greeted.

"Have you heard? There's a new student coming! Mrs. Bustier said so. I'm so excited!" Rose squealed.

"I've heard! Alya just told me. I can't wait either." Marinette replied, giggling at how excited Rose was.

"Marinette, let's get to class," Alya interrupted, "Later, Rose!"

"Alright, bye Rose!" Marinette said, before leaving with Alya.

Rose waved goodbye to the two girls, the usual smile on her face.

"Good morning class! Some of you know that we will be welcoming a new student!" Mrs. Bustier said. Everyone whispered excitedly. "Today we will be welcoming..." Mrs. Bustier started.

A boy walked into the room. He had black hair with blue tips, slanted eyes, and a blue zip-up hoodie. Marinette's jaw dropped.

"What? He's not that hot." Alya said.

"Luka Couffaine to our classroom!" Mrs. Bustier finished.

The whole class cheered except for Chloe.

No one is surprised, right?

"Luka!" Marinette called, but Luka couldn't hear her over the cheering.

"Luka, why not tell us something about yourself?" Mrs. Bustier suggested.

"Um... sure," Luka said. He still hasn't seen me yet. Marinette thought.

"Um... hi. My name is Luka. I'm fourteen years old. Juleka is my sister. I switched schools because she was here." Luka said, giving a quick description.

"Alright, Luka. You can sit in Alya's spot. Alya, you can sit in Adrien's spot. And Adrien, since is Sabrina absent you can sit next to Chloé." Mrs. Bustier said.

I understand

Oh, how lovely. Adrien thought.

I know it would be better if Luka sat next to Juleka since their related but it's more rOmAnTiC if Marinette sits with Luka.

Adrien got up and sat next to Chloe.

"Alya's seat is next to Marinette's so Marinette, raise your hand!" Mrs. Bustier said. Luka looked up, suddenly.

"Who?" the boy asked. His expression changed to a hopeful one. There we go. Marinette thought, excitedly.

"Marinette." Mrs. Bustier repeated.

Marinette quickly raised her hand. Luka walked over to the spot next to her. Marinette could tell he was excited as well. "Hi." Marinette greeted.

"Hey," Luka said.

The two looked away and blushed.

Adrien saw everything. Love at first sight? Do they know each other?

Do they like each other?

For some reason, Adrien didn't like that sentence. But he didn't know why.

It's called jealousy, sweetie.

Adrien watched Marinette and Luka from his seat the whole class. They looked so... lovey. It was gross. Adrien's stomach churned. They actually didn't do anything but it was still gross. This was weird because Chat Noir shows affection around Ladybug but he doesn't find it disgusting. Luka and Marinette didn't show any affection besides the blushing but it was still gross.

Why was it gross?! Adrien wanted answers.

So he decided he'd see someone today.

Once the bell rang everyone walked out of class. Marinette with Luka. Alya with Nino. Adrien alone. Marinette had explained everything to Alya. That Marinette and Luka were old friends. That Marinette used to like Luka. But not anymore. Alya insisted that she meet Luka but Marinette told her later and that she wanted to talk to Luka first. Alya agreed and went with Nino. Alya honestly wondered why Adrien wasn't with Nino but she brushed it off.

Marinette and Luka walked out of class and just stood there facing each other.
"Hello, Mr. Blue," Marinette said.
"Good morning, Ms. Pink." Luka greeted.

Couldn't help it. There had to be some inside joke.

The two laughed at their private joke and hugged. They let go of each other and smiled.

"Wow, you haven't changed a bit." Marinette pointed out.

"And neither have you." Luka complimented. Adrien was watching everything. Before they continued their conversation the boy ran over to a home, belonging to the wisest person he knew.

Master Fu's home.
