Chapter 12: Unlocking The Door

For days, Johanna tried to get Hilda out of her bedroom, but she wouldn't come out. Johanna thought she was in there, when she really wasn't.

Johanna: "Hilda, please come out!"

No response. The door was still locked. Johanna thought that this was all her fault. She wasn't even  mad at Hilda anymore. She wanted her to come out.

Johanna: "Hilda. I'm sorry. If you come out, you'll be ungrounded."

Still no response.

Johanna: "She probably doesn't believe me."

Johanna then saw the key to unlock the door.

Johanna: "Oh. It must've slid out."

Johanna unlocked the door, but when she went in, Hilda wasn't in there! She was gone!"

Johanna: "What?! Where is she?!"

David and Frida were there too.

David: "This is your fault! You told McQueen to honk his horn, and scare Hilda! Now she's gone because of you!"

Frida: "We can't trust you anymore! We're leaving!"

Johanna: "Wait!"

But they already left. Just then the phone rang.

Johanna: "Hello?"

Astrid: "Is this how you treat your daughter?! Telling someone to scare her?! I thought I could trust you to take care of her! But I was wrong! I'm very disappointed in you, Johanna!"

Johanna started sobbing. She lost her daughter, and everyone was mad at her.
