You peeps need to thank sacampbe1for commenting on the last chapter for me to update, so I saw it and thought you know what I've been asked to update, so I'm going to spend my day writing chapter 7 and uploading it since peeps out there want this book.

Lauren Cheney's POV: (Thank you to Gerdesa22  for the idea for the coach)

I was just planning for the next game when my phone started ringing.

It was Tobin. I wonder what's up, so I answered.

"Hey Tobs is everything okay?" I hope everything is okay.

"Yeah, Cheney everything's fine it's just I thought that I should let you know I'm on my way back to the hotel with Carli, Becky and also I have a guest with me".

A guest?

"Okay, and what do you mean you have a guest"?

I'm really confused now.

Is she drunk?

Wait no, she doesn't drink a lot. Never enough to get her drunk.

"Yeah, a guest. Come on Chens you know what a guest is. Oh, also my guests going to be staying in my room with me as well".

"Tobin Powell Heath what are you talking about".

She was now laughing loudly on her part of the call.

"I guess you'll find out later. Also, see you later, Chens". She then hung up on me before I could say anything else.

I'm going to kill her when I see her; she always knows how to annoy me.

Tobin's POV:

I just ended the call with Coach Chens. Makayla thought of the idea that we should make her wait till we got there and I agreed and thought we could mess with Cheney as well so it was fun to know that I can still easily annoy her even when she's my coach.

We were currently in the car on the way to the hotel. Makayla and I were in the back and Carli and Becky was in the front with Carli driving. We were in one of the rentals that we could use while here.

The journey from the stadium to the hotel is 45 minutes without a lot of traffic. Still, since we went from Rachel's house it's added the extra 15 minutes onto our journey so now we're going to be in the car for an hour at least, and we've only been driving for 10 minutes, and we've barely got anywhere due to traffic.

I'm worried about Makayla since she hasn't said anything since when we were at Rachel's about to leave.

I'm worried since I don't know what she's thinking. Not wanting her to stress herself out I reach my hand out to her and tap her on the shoulder to get her attention which it does and she looks at me questionably so I look down at my hand which I've now moved next to her hers.

She looks to where I'm looking, and she opens her squeezed shut hand that's resting on her knee, and she turns it over. I take this as a sign, so I hold her hand and squeeze it then stroke it hoping it'll calm her down.

Makayla's POV: (5 MINUTES EARLIER)

I was fine until Tobin was on a call with her coach because It made me realise that I have to meet everyone.

What if they hurt me?

Will, they hurt me?

Will Tobin protect me?

Why does she care?

Why has she adopted me?

Was this a mistake?

Should I run?

Would I even be able to run?

Could I jump from the car?

Suddenly a tap was on my shoulder, but my thoughts were all over the place, and I was starting to struggle to breathe so my body went on autopilot until I felt contact and looked to see Tobin's hand holding mine and stroking it lovingly.

My thoughts calmed down, but I was still scared of the team.

THE TEAM.

THE TEAM THAT I HAVE TO MEET.

I tried focusing on Tobin's hand, but it wasn't working as all the previous questions came crashing down on me and I was finding my breathing to be speeding up like I couldn't get enough air in.

Tobin's POV: (Soz about the constant POV changing but it was the only way I could make this chapter work)

I saw Makayla breathing rapidly, and Becky and Carli did too as they were looking back at us.

"Tobs should I pull over"?

I shook my head at Carli. "No keep driving I'll handle it".

I unbuckled Makayla from her seat behind Carli and pulled her to the middle seat putting the middle seatbelt around her since Safety First. I moved her close to me so her head was resting on my chest so she can hear my heartbeat.

"Makayla listen to my heartbeat okay".

She only nodded slowly.

"Okay, now breathe in". I breathed in so she could follow my breathing which she did,

"Good MK now out". She also followed my actions again.

We did this a few times till suddenly she threw her arms around me and pushed her head further than I thought was possible into my chest while sobbing.

"Hey, MK, it's okay you're okay".

After about 5 minutes of her crying and me whispering soothing words in her ears, she looked at me.

"I'm sorry Tobin you ca pull over Carli. I'll make my way back since you don't want me anymore".

I was shocked. How could she think that I wouldn't want her? It's not her fault she had a panic attack; it's all the stupid bastards mistakes which have hurt her in the past. The people that if I ever find out who they are, I am going to kill. Who could ever hurt her she is such a sweet, kind, funny and beautiful girl.

"Hey, don't ever say that. One you don't have to be sorry. Two Carli isn't stopping to let you out and three who said anything about giving you back and not wanting you anymore. I'm sorry to say MK, but you're stuck with me for life. No matter how many times we argue, or how many times you yell and shout at me or say you hate me and don't love me. No matter how many times you run away, I will always love you and find you, and I won't ever give up till you're in my arms again".

She was crying and shocked, then leapt back into me sobbing again. And all I heard back was a quiet little "Thank you Tobs" from MK'S mouth.
